Back with a special appearance from two of my favorite woodpeckers.
Saskatchewan // Herry
It’s so interesting to see how these two interact on the feeder together, sharing at first but then taking their time solo too. Such nice birds!
My backyard fave, sleeping hibiscus. Some people call it wax mallow but sleeping hibiscus is just so much more descriptive and cute.
Silhouette of a belted kingfisher. We’ve seen the seemingly same female kingfisher several times in the same location along the drive, I love seeing her each time!

Serenading the morning before hitting up the bird buddy for some snacks.
A three in one! A female cardinal at the bird buddy, a red bellied woodpecker at the platform feeder behind and then at about 1:15 a little yellow bird flits by the platform feeder but doesn’t stop.
The last photo makes me think the female cardinal is starting to figure out there’s a camera in the bird feeder.
It wouldn’t be a good morning without a visit from the pair of cardinals at the bird buddy. There’s a bit of a pause after the male leaves before the female shows up today.
The suet feeder attachment arrived and then both cardinals had to check it out!
