• he actually wears heelies all the time but only breaks out the wheels when he feels like the people have earned them

Rabbit:

• breaks into shops to rearrange their milk shelves. she’s never been caught

• once jumped head first into a river because she saw a really cool duck

• 80% of the time her excuse for anything is “gay rights baby”. why is she an hour late? gay rights. why does she eat out of the rubbish? gay rights. why did she punch a crocodile? you guessed it, gay rights

Zer0:

• legally cannot say the fuck word. even if he could he wouldn’t

• very huggable… just a huggy boy…

• every tuesday he and Spine play scrabble and every tuesday he wins

Hatchworth:

• probably has a fursona. no i don’t take constructive criticism

• collects pocket watches but he never uses them. he just has them on display. he can’t even tell the time

Jon:

• occasionally he lifts up his hat to reveal the weirdest shit underneath. a pile of small rocks. a tv remote. one time even a live pigeon. he never explained it

Another improvement thingy! I coulld’ve posted these with the Jun one but i was dumb and didn’t check the notes on my vote post kfjgkjdg

I was listening to an art podcast and I heard someone use “creative hibernation” as a term to describe a period of time when your creative energy and flow of ideas is slowing down.

Honestly, it sounds so much better than “art block”. To me, “creative hibernation” sounds less like a negative thing and more like an organic part of the creative process. 

“Art block” sounds very definite. They sound like something you MUST actively fight against to break them down in order to continue. “Hibernation” on the other hand sounds more like a thing that happens every now and then but that will go away on its own when it’s time. It’s a stage of gathering energy for the next creative pursuit. Art block on the other hand is an artificial, mental block that actually just seems to solidify the more you treat it like an obstacle to get around.

All creative people go through this type of slowing down all the time and it is completely alright. I thought I would share this because I think the right kind of mentality is actually one of the most important things of recovering your creative energy.
