Those eyes in sadness, so much worry... Here, all the sand on this beach.. i notice every small particle left from great shells and how they compare to the vast ocean we are next to. Aren't we all weathered like parts of these shells that are left behind. Change, and what we see in every small thing is perspective. Time and this sand slips through our fingers every day. Something so large as life is now just a pebble counted like the stars. Look up my dear, find the ocean. This is one body of breathtaking love. It is the love of another, not being able to quantify... find that in your heart, and you will find yourself walking on top of all the smallness that slipped through your fingers and into Love that surrounds you whole.
“He held me in his arms, holding me close to him as the wind picked up and sand twisted around us on the beach, promising to leave souvenirs in our pockets and hair. We stayed for hours, watching the waves, the dolphins, the colors in the sky fade into more incredible colors, until dark consumed it. We watched the stars and made a wish on a meteor shower and we managed to make it home without getting lost. He held me in his arms, and as I watched the sun, I thought how this is all I wanted, and I felt the pain of losing the moment before it was lost. Have you ever been so full in one moment, you already know the hole it’ll leave in you once it’s gone?”
