and now i present to you a beta design for clouded frost au feathertail!!! silvercloud's biggest inspiration and role model <333

not too sure i'm 100% happy with it, but i definitely think it's sorta what i was wanting to go for,,

i took inspo from a variety of designs i've seen, but most notably from the way james l. barry draws her, with the hair curl and fluff around the eyes. i also tried to make her more blue than silvercloud just to better tell them apart from each other lol

also i was experimenting a little with the eye style (again) and i think i sorta like this?

anyways; stan feathertail, she's one of my favorite characters, one of my top three even, according to the warrior cats favortie picker. also i'm not really a big fan of the canon romance between her and crowpaw in the new prophecy, so for clouded frost i decided to take more of the platonic route.

~ Synthesizer is a system with an alter that fronts depending on the time of day or lighting. In brighter areas or the daytime Synthesizer is bright and sociable, very much the boss who works hard and encourages his co-workers to do their best. During the night or in the dark on the other hand, Sardonic is more suave and cunning, taking great joy in causing mischief and unopposed to getting violent. A key tell tale of who's fronting is the color of the gems adorning his collar, as the color shifts similarly to a mood ring. (Blue for Synthesizer and Red for Sardonic.) ~ Originally born to mage parents, they both witnessed their parents being slaughtered at a very young age, just barely escaping themselves and leaving them traumatized, orphaned, and utterly alone. Shortly after however, he was discovered by a large calico mage by the name of Phantascope who felt for the poor little scrap and took them into his care. ~ Somewhere down the line after traumatizing separation from his mentor, Synthesizer resorted to go undercover, earning his verification and working his way up the ranks as an established monitor. However, Sardonic despises the way his alter bows down to the government given all its done to them and their family. If you were to ask him, he would gladly claw their eyes out to make them suffer in the ways they have, but for the sake of his alter, he does his best to restrain himself and play the role he's been given.

I populated this based on who would be in camp right before Into the Wild: with Crookedstar and Oakheart in leadership, Leopardfur training Whitepaw, and Silverstream a newly appointed warrior.

i decided to try my hand at redrawing a panel from the tigerstar and sasha graphic novel trilogy using my designs for the clouded frost au, since it gave me an excuse to draw the three siblings together overall i really like how it turned out! and i think i like the way the designs look together as well; overall i really enjoyed doing this and will definitely try to do another graphic novel panel redraw in the future!
