Carmen Liu, trans woman and entrepreneur, has launched a lingerie collection for trans women.
She says:
“I had this business idea circulating in my mind for two years, thinking of how I would design the lingerie if I had the opportunity,” she says. “I wouldn’t say there was lightbulb moment as such. The idea hit me due to pure frustration of not being able to buy lingerie. Once I got the green light I began working 16 hours most days to cover every detail and possible option that would benefit and bring positive change to our community.”
This is a line that also fits transgender women who have not had gender confirmation surgery.

There are a lot of times I feel like just…flipping the vegan script.
It’s not ‘polyester’ it’s plastic
It’s not ‘vegan leather’ it’s plastic
Its not ‘faux fur’ it’s plastic
Plastic is a pollutant and causes far more damage to the environment both now and in the future than leather or wool.
Please stop telling me that the Plastic Lyfe is the only life, it is not. My leather shoes will last a decade where pleather is lucky to last 12 months. Leather (and wool) decompose and are renewable. Plastic is neither of those.

Sounds about white
i wish people would normalize being lost in life and just not knowing anything. not knowing what you’re passionate about, where you want to live, what you want to do, where you want to go— or what lies next. as a society, we normalized going to school, finding a passion, getting a job, finding a partner, getting married, having kids, working hard to earn an honest living. but what about when shit just doesn’t go that way? you really just don’t know. and what’s even worse is, you don’t know why you don’t know or even where to start so you feel alone. you feel as though you’re a disappointment to your family. as if you failed in life. but you haven’t, it’s okay, to not know. to be lost. you have your whole life ahead of you to figure things out. patience is a virtue. there is no time limit on life. you don’t need to rush. don’t allow society to fixate the narrative of having all your shit together at a certain age. it isn’t realistic for most. being lost is so much more normal than we think. and i just wish people would be more transparent about it.
Alright, hear me out.
Cho Chang has always been one of the most controversial characters of the Harry Potter series because of how she was portrayed to be so stereotypically East Asian - to the point where her full name is literally composed of two Chinese last names (we’ve all heard of that discourse before).
What has always annoyed me the most, however, is that Cho Chang in the books has 100% more potential for charisma and personality than what the movies constrict her character to have.
First of all, Cho is a huge jock. Need I remind you that she was the only girl in the Ravenclaw Quidditch team up until her 5th year and has been an avid fan of the Tutshill Tornados since childhood? You can bet my boy Cedric developed a crush on her from getting his ass kicked on the Quidditch field.
Not only is Cho a jock, but she is also known to be one of the most popular girls at school which, to me, adds to the interpretation that she was more extroverted than introverted prior to Cedric’s death. In the books, she is often seen hanging out with groups of people and being almost intimidating from how cool she is.
Moreover, and probably most importantly, Cho was able to cast the Patronus Charm which required a huge amount of control over her emotions. Let’s not forget that during the time that she did, my girl was dealing with:
1) Trauma from her boyfriend being murdered by the freakin’ Dark Lord.
2) Losing her friends and seeing her grades going downhill as a consequence of said trauma and depression.
3) Being part of a secret organization preparing her to go to freakin’ war. An organization that could’ve ultimately cost her mother’s job at the Ministry, if I may add.
Therefore, the fact that she was able to cast a whole ass Patronus Charm despite being obviously very tormented by her feelings of grief, anxiety and sadness is, to me, super badass and remarkable.
So let us not carry the poor portrayal of Cho Chang from the movies, but rather celebrate the characterization that she deserves.
When you think about it, Cho and Ginny are very similar in how they are generally disliked from their portrayal in the movies. They really went from being badass Quidditch players in the books to silent love interests on screen.
Can we get as many voices calling out the unfair representation of Cho in the movies as we’ve gotten for Ginny?
So in conclusion,
(Edit: Also, her Patronus is a swan??? The birds known for their beauty but also for how dangerous they can be when they attack you!!)
-He starts out looking on YouTube for some sort of simple solution to a normal teenage skin problem
-Covering a pimple, covering dark circles, how to match eyebrows to dark hair
-Because that dark brown DEF comes from a bottle
-Connor’s a blonde baby but blonde hair doesn’t make him look tough
-But he sees a bunch of easy makeup tutorials for guys and gets Inspired™
-He sneaks into Zoe’s room and borrows her makeup
-He does his best for his first try
-It doesn’t look awful???
-He looks honestly, like, ethereal
-at least in his opinion
-But for real, he looks beautiful
-So he keeps doing it
-Keeps experimenting
-Keeps “borrowing” Zoe’s makeup
-She has to keep replacing products that are definitely being emptied too quickly
-And products that straight up “disappear”
-no one deserves to be forgotten
-And Connor is like “whaaaaat? that’s craaaaaazyyyyy” not that he actually cares or anything
-He’s too cool and tough for that
-But he is getting tired of Zoe’s crappy drugstore makeup she uses
-He buys her a bunch of high-quality pro makeup and brushes for Christmases and birthdays
-Uses those occasions as excuses to also buy stuff for himself
-Connor “Treat Yo Self” Murphy
-Zoe finds out by walking in on him one day
-She’s not mad, just shocked
-“How the hell are your wings so sharp?!?! Teach me!!!”
-“Only if I can keep using your makeup without you saying anything about it to Mom and Larry.”
-“Wait, you what?” “What?”
