Finn And Sage's Wasted Potential

Finn and Sage's Wasted Potential

Am I the only one that was peeved that Finn was killed because I did find him pretty interesting. Like, his younger siblings are all fine being evil masterminds and stuff, but not him. It doesn't mean he's better, but he does have standards. He had potential, even more so with the fact that he had a relationship with Sage of all people. The same woman who taught Damon to use people as play things and not just food. It makes you wonder.

You'd think that Damon would see Sage as some kind of teacher figure, or that Sage was his Lexi in a way. I'm not saying Damon would have loyalty to her, but be more reluctant when it comes to killing Finn because it means going against Sage.

It could also address the fact that Damon was once like Finn, in a way. I don't remember a lot because it's been years, so bear with me. If I remember correctly, it's Damon that didn't want to turn and was fine with dying, pretty much loathing his own existence, but Stefan forced him to drink blood. Damon's only reason for turning was to be with Katherine, and Katherine not only preferred Stefan, but got Damon on some kind of wild goose chase.

Fast forward to Augustine, and turning off his emotions, leading to the Damon we have today. Granted, the writers probably didn't come up with Augustine during the 3rd season, but it's a thought.

Sure, Damon has had enjoyable banter with a lot of the Mikaelsons, but Finn could've been the one that actually posed a threat to Damon. Emotionally and psychologically. Elijah is the calm and composed one, but Finn is all no nonsense and full of rage. Finn cannot be reasoned with, but does have sense. He isn't the fear mongering Klaus, the reserved Elijah, the invading and reshaping Rebekah, or the chaotic Kol, but Finn is a force of his own. No matter how obvious he seems, he's a mystery.

If they couldn't make Finn interesting on his own, then they could've given him something to work with by giving him a history with another character.

What could've made it better is that Finn isn't like the others. If anyone says something out of pocket or offensive, he doesn't act violently, nor does he threaten them. It could show just how mature he actually is. I didn't fully watch the Originals, so maybe his already existing character contradicts this.

Back to my Damon ramble, Finn could've been something new for him. Unpredictable. He doesn't operate on self-importance like his siblings (and other vampires), but self loathing. You never really know what's going to trigger him, and you don't know if he's going to be an enemy or ally. Finn could've been a catalyst to Damon questioning his own morals and stuff. He keeps giving himself to people who don't appreciate it, and it was seen right in Dangerous Liasons. Damon goes out of his way to protect and fight for people who don't see that, which sort of puts him on the Bonnie boat. What I mean is that Damon almost became like his abusers. Using people, or letting himself be used. Usually the latter. Why does Damon do this to people? Why does Damon do this for people? Why is Damon willing to die for these people? That kind of thing.

Finn doesn't let himself be used (unless it's his mother), nor does he use people. He finds no purpose in it. Damon would be going against a man that would find no enjoyment in 'teaching him a lesson'. Damon wouldn't be sure what to do against a man that barely reacts to his jabs.

Also, Finn seemed to be the only one that didn't care that Kol got his arse handed to him, just curious. The other Mikaelsons looked mildly offended at the blatant disrespect, yet Finn wasn't the least bit bothered.

It just makes me wonder what kind of person he is, and what could've been. Why he fell in love with Sage, a person that taught Damon to be disregarding of human life. I've got many questions.

Clark Kent is Insane (Smallville)

I'm on the Smallville bandwagon, and I'm currently on season 7. I've seen some posts that find it unbelievable that people weren't interested in and crazy in love with Clark and stuff. I'm convinced that people stayed away from him because they thought he was crazy, or was that guy that always had something weird happening to him. It's obvious that Clark is attractive, but there's also another side to it besides his looks.

Clark Kent Is Insane (Smallville)

Clark would find himself in situations that would make people scratch their heads. Put yourselves in the perspective of the Smallville citizens.

I'm going to give some examples from season 1 (can't remember which episode)

Clark's powers get transferred to another boy named Eric Summers, and once Eric finds out about these abilities he exploits them. Clark tries to talk Eric into not being a bad person, and that ends with Clark getting smashed into the top of a car, bleeding from his nose and all. A lot of his school mates saw that, and word apparently travels fast in small towns. Everyone certainly found out.

In another episode, Earl Jenkins (played by Tony Todd) is a victim of the Luthors, and while Clark's class is on a school trip, the character holds the students hostage in order to threaten the Luthors. Whatever experiments Luthor corp did on him makes him shake violently, and anything he comes into contact with will shake uncontrollably as well (can't remember if it results in death). It's best to stay away from this guy. What does Clark do? Try's to speak to the guy and convince him not to do this, and stuff like that. Basically, the same thing he did with Eric Summers. It doesn't get him heavily injured, but it could've made things worse.

Clark would also go through a thing where his personality flips. Not knowing he's on red kryptonite, everyone probably felt like they were interacting with a completely different person, but with Clark's face. Everyone's just like "Clark Kent is letting his intrusive thoughts win?" And he would mysteriously forget what's transpired (due to switching bodies or his mind being taken over). He would be genuinely confused, and is frighteningly proceeding as if nothing's happened, despite being aware that something wrong has taken place, thanks to him or involving him.

When Clark accidentally causes his mum's miscarriage, the first thing he does is crashout. He puts on the red kryptonite and rides of to Metropolis. I'm pretty sure he was gone for months, robbing from atms and getting into fights with people.

When Nathan Dean (the banshee guy) showed up (around season 3-ish), Clark lost his sight temporarily... even though it's everyone's ears that suffered. That's weird.

Onwards, Clark would suspiciously be at the scene of a crime or some kind of incident. He's always involved in police business, and playing "investigator" with Chloe and Pete. Always on his way to save people, and do something that everyone will immediately think is stupid.

Around season 3 or 4, Clark marries Alicia. A literal stalker who tried to harm Lana Lang (the it girl of Smallville). Once he comes back from his honeymoon, looking all guilty, everyone whispers while side eyeing him. And of all things Mr and Mrs Kent are mad about, it's the fact that Clark married illegally (both Alicia and him were underage), and that he disregarded how sacred marriage is (even though he was on red kryptonite). That was terrible writing, but I don't remember them being too angry about Alicia.

Clark Kent Is Insane (Smallville)

There's also that time (can't remember if it was season 5 or 6) when Clark and Lois crash Lex and Lana's dinner party where they're celebrating their engagement. Clark and Lois are dressed as bikers, informal leather jacket outfits. They must've looked insane to everyone at that party, Lex especially. And then Clark proceeded to ruin the pregnancy announcement for Lex and Lana (he did it for the lolz).

Every time Clark is doing (or about to do) something everyone is probably side eyeing him, and thinking "What's he about to do this time?"

What's worse is that his parents don't seem to be doing anything about it. They don't appear to be worried about the fact that he might potentially be having occasional psychotic breaks, and other mental disorders going on with him. He's got main character syndrome, and a hero complex. Insert other mental disorders and illnesses of your choosing, because I'm not a psychiatrist nor am I trained in knowing about mental health.

If the writers intended on this, knowing that they couldn't make Tom Welling look like a pathetic dork, then it's a good call. Can't make him dweebish? Make him look insane. Even if Clark was a nerd, and looked like one, everyone would still be fawning over him (me especially). But fawning over a crazy person is risky because of how unpredictable they are. Not only that, but we've seen girls fawn over him before, albeit harbouring bad intent (to some degree for most). And of course, Chloe was super interested in him, and Lana would get jealous and shocked from whatever relationship he had outside of her, even when she was with another guy.

That's my Smallville theory.

Jewish Johnny Cage, please

I once saw a fanart of Johnny Cage and Cassie celebrating Hanukkah (I think) together (Sonya was there too). I can't remember if it was Hanukkah specifically, but it was a Jewish related celebration. Now I can't unsee Johnny Cage as Jewish, and desperately headcanon him as such.

Any thoughts?

JJBA Headcanons

JJBA Headcanons

Yukako Yamagishi - People often think her to be related to Josuke and she doesn't understand why. She refuses to believe there are any facial similarities. If not Josuke then Tomoko. Her stand is Bruford reincarnated.

JJBA Headcanons

Holly Joestar Kujo - Holly was a rebellious teenager: She was going around crashing cars, and dated a foreigner just to spite Joseph, only to actually fall in love with him. Holly has Hamon, but just like George 2nd she doesn't really use it. She has an overwhelming amount of physical strength, so she never needs help with shopping.

JJBA Headcanons

Tomoko Higashikata - Has a thing for older men, not interested in men her own age. Bonus if the guy is foreign. Her rage reminds the Morioh residents of Yukako. (I just really love the twins au). She's the hottest woman at her workplace.

JJBA Headcanons

Shizuka Joestar - She grows up having the same personality as Suzy Q, but has the wit and quick thinking of Joseph. She's been taught how to use hamon since Joseph had to halt his own ageing process when raising her.

JJBA Headcanons

Santana - He was a teenager when he woke up from him slumber. He finds a way to escape the Speedwagon foundation. He has a lot of internalised inferiority due to the treatment he experienced under Kars and Esidisi, and the constant comparison to Wamuu. He gets annoyed easily.

JJBA Headcanons

Narciso Anasui - He's also on the spectrum. Has a tendency to take things apart, and his intentions are often misread, which puts him in a sticky limelight. He has a hard time understanding why certain things are wrong (like creepy behaviour that was intended as romantic gestures). Picks and chooses when he wants to feel the weather. Doesn't like the rain's wetness, so he'll wear a hat. Definitely explains his fashion sense.

Daniel D'Arby is the cooler D'Arby

Just something I wrote in a youtube comment section, thought it was good enough to be a post and here I am.

Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-DpwGvxN1U

-

I love older D'Arby (Daniel). It's just how unassuming he is, and when we're first introduced to him we can tell that he has an involvement with the plot but we're taken aback by how normal he looks yet he stands out.

Daniel D'Arby Is The Cooler D'Arby

The fact that he's a dirty cheater is funny, but it all gets quiet when he takes your soul. YOUR SOUL, that's some demonic type stuff right there. There's also the classic casino look he has going on with him that reminds me of Mr Dice from Cuphead (also a game about your soul being taken by Satan and gambling).

I'm also taken by how much of a gentleman he is, supposedly at least. He has this old fashioned style to him that makes his presence feel more alien and maybe a little eerie whenever we zoom in on his red eyes. Like he's either timeless or from another time.

The fact that he and Terence are related is quite surprising, not just appearance wise, but it has more to do with the vibes they give off. Daniel gives off "trusty stranger you shouldn't trust, but end up falling victim to anyway", while Terence is "little boy wants to play and you can see the red flag". Terence is a wolf that you see coming, but Daniel unnervingly sneaky. Daniel will sort of play mind games on you (by cheating), but Terence is the kind that YOU play tricks ON.

Daniel D'Arby Is The Cooler D'Arby
Daniel D'Arby Is The Cooler D'Arby

Both D'Arby's have the ability to take souls. With Terence you feel like he's just being an a-hole, you kind of roll your eyes a bit. With Daniel there's this otherness, like "Why do you want my soul?". I get that it has something to do with pride, but what does he need it for? Terence watches them move as dolls with a conscience and they are stuck with him to the point where they develop stockholm syndrome (as seen with one of the dolls), but Daniel just has them stuck as chips and nothing else as if he's collecting rare cards.

There's a story to Daniel that I'm curious about. There's just something about him that makes me wanna separate him from everything and get to the bottom of his character. His face markings, his need for soul taking, and his upbringing. Why are him and Terence so different besides the age gap and growing up in different decades.

Yukako Higashikata AU

Yukako Higashikata

Is the younger twin

Argues with Josuke a lot, but in a 'only I can insult you' way

Has the Joestar birthmark

Has Tomoko's rage, but Yukako takes it to the next level

Gets hit on. A lot.

When Yukako and Josuke get along you know that trouble is coming

Her and Josuke are hair and fashion pals but they argue over the bathroom mirror a lot

Yukako and Josuke bond over their hate for Rohan

Yukako and Jotaro bond over their hate on people flirting with them all the time

Great big sister to Shizuka

Great younger sister to Holly

(I need more Yukako as Josuke's twin content)
