One Sided Homelander X Alien Reader

One sided Homelander x Alien Reader

So my last post got some attention and I was a little unsatisfied with the lack of dialogue so I wanted to fix that. Here's part 2.

On the edge of a balcony stood a young girl with partially dyed hair. Her nose is pointy, her eyes brown, and her skin was quite clear. She kept looking over the balcony, maybe contemplating something. Who knew what she was thinking or what she was gonna do.

You carefully landed a meter behind her, your hair falling down on your face before braiding itself into a single ponytail. The up do one.

"Yo!" the girl turned around to see you. "Chelsea, is it?"

"Don't come any closer." she warned.

"Okay." You obeyed, observing her. You sensed uncertainty, a little bit of annoyance- impatience. You started tapping your foot, waiting for her to do or say something, even though you just arrived. You honestly couldn't help yourself.

"You're gonna jump aren't you? Why is it taking so long?" you said innocently.

"Huh?"

She was startled. You mentally kicked your own curiousness, face palmed feeling embarrassed.

"Sorry, it's just that you seem hesitant. People who commit suicide don't hold back, and they carry a heavy feeling in their hearts, from what I remember anyway. Besides, what is your afterlife like? Humans have a lot of rules to follow in life and I'm pretty sure killing yourself means instant damnation."

"I'm Jewish."

"Oh, then you're lucky that Stormfront's still missing." you unconsciously licked your lips.

Chelsea noticed something and looked down, only to find her vision turned around but still facing you.

"What the fu- oh my god!" she screamed, trying her best to find her ankle which had your hair wrapped around it. "Put me down! Put me down!"

"You don't seem the least bit distraught." you said, ignoring her sudden fear. Your hair brought her closer to you, lifting her up above the ground so that you could have a better look at her face. In response she only stared into your eyes with panic while screaming in terror. "I guess that's a good thing." you say to yourself.

"Please put me down!"

"I will, my direct orders were to fly you down to safety. I would leave you up here but the more I think about it there is a chance you'll actually follow through with your original objective."

Your hair let go of Chelsea, and she fell into your arms. Had you let her drop onto the ground her neck would've cracked. Your hair started moving in a helicopter motion. (This is probably the only reason I gave her this ability)

One Sided Homelander X Alien Reader

You landed on the ground with a little stumble that was harsher than usual due to the extra weight, and your hair didn't feel like using multiple ponytails.

Cameras zoomed towards you, people were cheering you, only some of them checking on Chelsea. You spotted Ashley who appeared very content and happy, the kind where she accomplished something.

"Are we making a film? Is this a documentary?" you asked her, feigning stupidity.

"Something like that. Gosh you looked so amazing coming down- blah blah blah."

You listened to her babble, preparing yourself for whatever request they had next for you.

-

You walked through Vought with nothing much on your mind other than finding Starlight. You occasionally waved to the workers who did their usual shift or at least tried to, you were holding a smoothie in both hands.

"Hey [Name], congratulations on saving Chelsea."

Your hair immediately went on attack mode, the tip pointing at Homelander's neck as if ready to cut him.

"Sorry about that, it seems to have a mind of its own. I would pull it off but my hands are full." you showed him the smoothies.

He gently took the smoothies from you, and you petted the braid attached to your scalp. "What's wrong? There's nothing to be angry about, calm down." you cooed at it softly in you mother tongue.

From the corner of your eye Homelander subtly rolled his own eyes. "Whose drinks are these?"

You smiled brightly at him, "One is for me, the other is Starlight's."

Something in his eyes darkened. "Ah, Starlight." he mused.

"Aye. She's so pretty that I want to spoil her as much as I can. And she's so brilliant and smart, she's an icon to all the girls who need someone to look up to."

"Right." he took a sip from one of them

"Hey." You snatched it from him. "You didn't even ask if you could try it, and it's not a milkshake." you inspected the cup, trying to guess how much he drank.

"Why didn't you ask me? Do you want milk? I can get you one."

His expression altered from your sudden kindness and you sensed triumph, "Yes, milk will be nice. Let's get it together."

"Okay. We can do that later." you took the other drink from him. "By the way, aren't you supposed to be playing... what is it called? Kissy face with Stormfront?"

You sensed discomfort, "She's still missing."

"Aye, I forgot about that." you took a sip of your drink. "I'm off, see you."

I already wrote this in the comment section, but since it was reposted I'm going to guess that I'm supposed to repost and respond in the repost.

On my part, it's a one sided situation, where Budo finds out about Ayano and stops her or fights against the brainwashing. Literally anything. The whole point of most ships is that they don't make sense and most are done as a what if scenario and find that scenario more interesting than the canon. Also, Taro is boring as hell, that's why we say she dumps him and gets with anyone else. Doesn't just have to be Budo. We love the drama that could come from the 'what if'.

Even if we like Budo we're still gonna put him in a tough situation. I am very aware that Ayano is a hopeless psychopath and so is her mother. Hannibal Lector is also a hopeless psychopath, and a cannibal, but it doesn't stop people from shipping him with Will Graham. People will ship Hermione with Draco, and they will find ways to ship Mileena with any Mortal Kombat character simply just because they can. Or making up stories where a literal celebrity falls in love with the reader, which is a lot more insane in my opinion.

Shippers ship anything, whether it is simply because we have seen chemistry or we see potential in the littlest of things, or because some of us are sick (insert insult here). We don't really need a reason, we'll just do it because our creativity allows us to.

Yes, Ayano is not a good match for anyone. But we don't care so long as we can make an interesting story out of it. I may hate a character but I'll still ship them with someone.

Whenever I see people saying "Ayano should dump Taro's ass and go with Budo, he's SO MUCH BETTER than him!", I ask: ...why are you so desperate to see Budo go through what Jokichi was subjected to? Do you secretly hate him or are you just masochists? Ayano is not a good match for ANYONE.

ooh this is gonna be long

Yes you have a good point! Ayano isn't a good match for anyone and it doesn't make sense to suggest that she should be with Taro or that she should dump Taro and go for someone "better" because whoever she ends up with is doomed to live in captivity among other unpleasant things. So why would people say this?

1. They don't know the game's concept very well, especially evidenced by the fact that they think Ayano is in control of whoever it is that she's obsessed with. She isn't. Stands to reason that if they don't know that, they ALSO don't know that being Ayano's lover is definitely not a good thing.

2. They forgot to mention that they're talking about their AU/rewrite in which Ayano isn't a bad person. Like it's very clear that some people like to pretend that Yandere Simulator's problematic characters aren't problematic. What if the bullies weren't bullies? What if the delinquents weren't delinquents? What if Ayano is just a slightly more cunning than average schoolgirl experiencing her first crush? That makes the game more enjoyable to them so that's the lens through which they perceive it, and when they talk about it, that's what they mean.

3. They know exactly what they're talking about and they're curious about how Budo might respond to being put into such a situation. Wanting to see bad things happen to a character doesn't necessarily mean hating them. There are characters in Danganronpa that I think should die, but I don't hate them as much as I hate Vlad from Magicka. FUCK that conniving little "nyeh nyeh I'm not a vampire!" bastard. Point being, they may not hate Budo, but they might think that it would be more interesting to see Budo in that position than Taro.

So which is it? Honestly... I hope the first one, because it's the best compromise between non-offensive and actually realistic. I don't think it's the third solely because the focus is on what kind of guy Ayano deserves to be with, not on who would make a better Magic Senpai. The second one is just... guys, you know Yandere Simulator is gonna be an M Rated game, right? Bad people do bad things. Ayano isn't a good person, even if you play pacifist, because her aim is to take away another person's agency over their life. I've talked about this before with Info-chan but it applies to e v e r y problematic aspect of the game. But I can't really blame anyone who says that Ayano deserves Budo over Taro just out of ignorance. Realistically it's probably a mix of the first and second options tho.

KK2 Chozen Analysis

I'm not gonna say anything that has already (probably) been said, and I'm just going to make some quick points.

KK2 Chozen Analysis

In Karate Kid 2 Chozen talks about honour and so on, and how he needs to reclaim it. Now I've read some opinions on Chozen where people have demonised his actions (for good reason), but I got the impression that they didn't understand him. What I mean by this is that Chozen's culture and perception of honour is different from ours (westerners). He comes from a place where Senppuku used to be a thing, so when Chozen is talking about his honour and stuff... it feels like a double edged sword when we, the audience, judge his character.

To make things technical or complicated depending on your opinion, Senppuku is the act of deleting one-self in real life, and Samurais would do it to avoid dishonouring themselves. If a Samurai did not commit Senppuku then they would be labelled a Ronin which wasn't good. Being a Ronin was a great dishonour, and a worse life than death. There's also Jigai, the female version of Senppuku, though I'm not sure why it was done.

In the Yakuza there's a thing called Yubitsume, where a member would cut off one of their fingers as an apology. Yakuza, as most of you know, still exists today. And there's evidence that members in the 80's and onwards have done this ritual. So with that being said, honour is a touchy subject regarding Chozen and not something that can be easily spoken on as a western audience.

The slight issue in this argument is that Okinawa and Japan are two different places. Okinawa, while a part of Japan is not in Japan. It's an island located between Taiwan and Japan. This makes me believe that how honour is perceived and practised in Okinawa is much different, in the sense that it may have been very important even when Japan banned certain practice before the 50's.

To be fair, I don't know how many teachings of honour were drilled into him, nor do I know when people stopped prioritising it. But just something I wanted to touch on.

Analysis 2:

In the final showdown between Chozen and Daniel I always saw it as a severe thing for Daniel. Not just because they're fighting to the death, but because Chozen is wearing black and yellow, which is something I always deemed to be a Cobra Kai colour before the Cobra Kai show came out and made it red. The only difference between Johnny and Chozen's karate gi is that Chozen has more yellow to his. Chozen's gi even makes him look like he's imitating a snake judging by the patterns, and I've always wondered if this was intentional by the director or whoever designed it.

The diamonds made me think of scales. So when Daniel is going up against him it feels like Johnny Lawrence all over again, just much worse. There's no cheering crowd, and there's no rules.

Before I watched Karate Kid 2 or found out what the plot was I saw this picture of Chozen and thought it was Daniel vs another Cobra Kai member. And then I watched the movie only to be genuinely surprised that wasn't the case. (I was 13-14, but still)

I love 2013 Carrie

I have a few thoughts on the 2013 Carrie. I understand the dislike for 2013 Carrie, but I don't at the same time. To be fair, I was at least 8 years old when I saw the film and I had no clue that it was a book first and had 2 movies before it, but I loved the hell out of that film.

I remember the rage and relatability I felt with her character. Granted, it wasn't until secondary school that I was harshly bullied, but I still went through isolation and being berated for things that no one should've cared that much about (P.E, ect.).

Now to the films: In the 1976 and 2002 version, the prom massacre is presented in a way where Carrie loses her mind, the '76 (Spacek) seemingly hallucinating. 2013 everyone is actually laughing at her and Carrie consciously offs them. I'm not saying they deserved it but rent was due. As Shang Tsung would say, how deliciously cold blooded.

I remember finding out that people hated the 2013 version and being confused until I found out why. She wasn't accurate. Chloe Grace Moretz is very pretty, and she was a very pretty teenager (sorry if that sounds creepy). With the new found knowledge that I acquired it was hard to accept her as Carrie even though my 8 year old self had already accepted her.

According to Carrie | Anatomy of a Franchise (a youtube video), from what I remember Moretz wanted the role because of her sexuality, and that sense of being 'othered' from the people around her. Although I am not queer, I can understand this feeling of otherness. I showed that a person didn't have to be what society views as ugly to see themselves in Carrie, there could be anything about you and Carrie as a character could spark a mirror.

Looking back at the previous movies I can see why Moretz's version is not appealing to many people. Appearance aside, there was another thing wrong that I didn't realise until James A. Janisse pointed it out on his kill count. A normal girl acting like an outcast. Moretz didn't have Spacek's timidness or Bettis' shaking behaviour, nor did they attempt to make her look strange (dark circles under eyes, ect.). But the more I thought about it the more I came to my own conclusion.

At this point anyone can be Carrie, even though that's very far fetched. Hell, I would play Carrie if I was given the chance. I haven't read the book, yet, but I know Carrie's features. Some of them at least. She is plus sized/chubby, has pimples and bad skin. Sounds like me, except I lost some weight (according to my mum), and I wasn't really chubby. But my skin did occasionally go bad (my lips going monstrously dry and scabby during winter) and I have dandruff. My dandruff would build up and a bunch of tiny pieces would fall whenever I scratched my head, and get stuck under my fingernails. I would rarely cut my nails unless they chipped off by themselves somehow. I had bags under my eyes from lack of sleep. I still have pimples on my forehead.

I'm also a 19 year old (currently) who's been told that they look like 15 and have been confused for a 15 year old. I'm certain I could play teenager Carrie.

I know that's too much information and that it means that there was something wrong with me, in the sense that I wasn't taking good care of myself and may have been dealing with something mentally.

Why does this matter? Both Spacek and Bettis were past their early 20's unlike Moretz who was 15. Spacek and Bettis' appearance was nothing like the book's description of Carrie. Both are very skinny, with Bettis especially having sunken cheeks. But with this in mind it could imply that their movie versions were not very well fed, thus either highlighting the abuse from the hands of Margaret White or their low class background.

Ugly or not, odd or not, a person is still going to be targeted and othered. Spacek's Carrie is very beautiful, but she felt like a ghost in the mystical sense. Just there and seemingly existing, but being unfortunately disturbed by the ever so rude living humans. If you look at Spacek as an actress it would be hard to believe that she is Carrie.

The result of writing this: Something can be done and seen with any Carrie, no matter who she is.

I love 2013's Carrie. Another thing I really admire is the scene where Tommy asks Carrie out to the prom. It could be that cold tone that every 2010s horror movie had at the time, but it truly captured how unsafe and suspicious Carrie felt and how suspicious Tommy seemed. Tommy sort of had good intent, but he was being creepy with how persistent he was being. Something that isn't realised in the '76 film, considering consent wasn't much of a thing back then (major yikes). It was nothing sexual, but no means no and he kept dismissing that. Dude showed up to Carrie's house and everything. Also, he cheated on Sue with Carrie. Why aren't people irked?

Hisoka: The Abilities outside Nen

Here's a rant from someone who's been a HxH fan since they were 10 (I'm 20 now)

Hisoka: The Abilities Outside Nen

Hisoka is one of my favourite characters if not my favourite villains next to Illumi. He immediately had my attention when I first saw him. I really saw him as a force of nature, and I loved how unpredictable he was. There would be moments where he came off as a psychotic killer, but also times where he seemed pretty chill. I could never quite figure out what was going through his mind.

These days I think the fandom, which is now filled with Gen Z-ers, have kind of turned him into a bit of a joke (not in a bad way), but I still remember him as the man who held a lot of mystery behind him.

Now there's just one thing I always wondered about him, and that was his abilities. We already know about Bungee Gum, and the fact that it has the properties of both rubber and gum, but I'm talking about before Togashi introduced nen to us.

We know that Hisoka is a magician, but are the abilities the result of bungee gum, or was he truly trained in some kind of trick? Does he have abilities outside of nen? One example I will use is the Zoldyck family. They are super humans, and have abilities outside of nen, like Killua's long nails and being immune to poison. Then there's the Freecss family. Even without nen, Gon was still a pretty damn strong kid, he broke Illumi's arm for crying out loud (I don't think that's spoken about enough). So we the viewers know that there's a handful of superhuman families, so it wouldn't be any surprise if Hisoka himself came from one.

We could say that it's just the 2011 version being creative, but the 1999 version has fun as well. In fact, I'll compare the two.

2011: When we are first introduced to him he burns off a guy's arm for bumping into him. His arms have turned into tiny petals. When Hisoka and Gon officially meet, he disappears into dust every time Gon tries to hit him. Usually, Nen users would blur when they move very fast. Hisoka has a bloodlust moment, and one butterfly becomes hundreds. When he takes the tag from Gon (after he punched him) he makes 4 copies of the tags.

1999: The guy seems to have melted into a wall instead of his arms being burned. Then there's his fight with the knife guy (ep 15, 1999), nothing too special, but it's what happens afterwards. In the 2011 version Hisoka still has the injury on his shoulder, but in the 1999 version he does a trick to make it disappear/heal instantly (most likely an illusion). The butterfly thing doesn't happen.

Not to mention Hisoka's bloodlust. Much like Illumi's, it gives a sense of unease to anyone who is of close proximity to it. Even going as far as to disturb nature. Hisoka is superhuman, even without the use of nen. Unfortunately, we don't see more of his 'magic' in the anime.

Neurodivergent Johnny Cage headcanons and theory

Neurodivergent Johnny Cage Headcanons And Theory

Hear me out, since there's a lot of people who don't like him.

I'm going to headcanon Johnny on the spectrum.

I believe Johnny was fully aware of what was going on around him regarding the tournament, but his upbeat personality is either a coping mechanism or is just his way of communicating. I genuinely think the guy likes thinking positively but he's surrounded by negativity (for obvious reasons). I'm pretty sure he stumbled into the tournament thinking it's a fight where people are dressed up for comic con related reasons and then got roped into what was actually happening and was like "Welp, I guess I'm doing this now." I don't think he was prepared to be dealing with people who could get easily angered.

However, he sometimes shows the inability to read the room and accidentally says something offensive. Or somehow offends people even though he means no harm. I'm sure his intentions are simply to be fun and playful, even towards his enemies, and I think that's beautiful.

Something I found out is an neurodivergent trait is being sarcastic but everyone thinks you're being 100% serious. I tend to joke a lot but people think I'm being literal even though I made my voice and tone sound playful. I also think his ego is just him being confident. If it is vanity then it's giving popular girl vibes, and I think that's lovely. I think future Johnny's dislike towards his younger self is actually a form of self loathing because of learning what's okay and not okay overtime. The other side is due to the influence of others, since they have a lot of negative things to say about him and to him.

It's quite obvious that compared to everyone else he's not very good at socialising. Something his older self learns to be better at, but his difference in communication still shows. He's still the same Johnny, just a lot more restraint and responsibility.

Showing interest in creative related stuff, such as acting. That counts as a check, right? Speaking as a person who was interested in theatre.

Lack of interest in training? Could be the need to procrastinate until he's very close to the due date. Like chronic procrastination. We learn about Johnny's lack of training through his intro with Raiden.

Also, is bro not allowed to show that he finds someone attractive or interested in them? Dudes being straight up honest about how he feels.

"We come from different worlds, Johnny." - Liu Kang

"Aren't you from Earthrealm, too?" - Johnny

"I mean I come from the real world." - Liu Kang

The sense of otherness and the random bullying.

"Why wasn't I your chosen one?" - Johnny

"Do you have all day, Johnny Cage?" - Raiden

"Yeah. I do." - Johnny

I feel you Johnny. That sense of exclusion.

"Stop reaching for my hat, Johnny." - Kung Lao

"You hiding a rabbit in there or not?" - Johnny

"Only my friends know for sure." - Kung Lao
