I have finished with the main designs and ordered some of the keychains!!!!! Reading through the first book again, and came across an interesting parallel to Ballad...

After Peeta "betrays" Katniss' trust and teams up with the Careers, she considers him an enemy who will try to kill her. I imagined Snow watching this and comparing it to his own situation in the woods with Lucy Gray.

He betrayed her trust with the lie he told and she determined he was an enemy whom she then had to flee from.

And (from his perspective) she intended to kill him with the snake bite in nearly the same way Katniss intended to kill Peeta with the hive of Tracker Jackers.

But where this inspired vengeance in Snow and made him fully turn against Lucy Gray, Peeta's determination to keep Katniss alive doesn't change. It doesn't change his feelings for her at all.

I sort of just love imagining Snow's reaction to that and how, even from the beginning, these two seem to defy his expectations.

Wrote a new fanfic for these two! Wanted to write a sequel story that goes into Snow's continued rise to power and about what might've happened if he'd run into Lucy Gray again :) I'm aiming for it to be a redemptive fic.

The Rhythm of Order and Chaos °*.•

Summary:

Set almost three years after the events of TBOSAS, Coriolanus Snow has risen in influence, with soaring grades and a position that puts him in line to be the next Head Gamemaker. All of his plans have set him on a sure path to success, but a new project of Dr. Gaul's has him unexpectedly facing his past, his path once again crossing with Lucy Gray.

Now Coriolanus is caught between the fear that Lucy Gray is a threat, and the feelings she starts to stir in him again.

Katniss thinking this after talking with Snow...the irony. I like to think it was the same lake he and the Covey went to. A peaceful escape both Katniss and Snow shared.

It's still got its grip on me...this story just hit so different. I was totally wrecked after the book, and it got me again three years later! I walked out of that theatre haunted.
