an adaptation of a scene from Vice and Crucible by sherwoodfox -- one of my very fav jayvik fics ToT give it a read! I made a 10 page comic just to shill for this fic, so trust my convictions. it's good I promise
“don’t make arcane political!” SHUT UP. arcane s1 was inherently political. it discussed abuse of power and the complete detachment societal hierarchy creates. it had beautifully written morally grey characters and complex dynamics. s2 watered all of that down to try and excuse abusive behavior and make characters likable. s1 vi would have never forgiven caitlyn
Riot Acknowledged his existence and confirms he canonically serves cunt
How do I even begin to explain this..?
can you two just try to kill each other normally for once
What a great ending for Arcane :D
How am I supposed to be normal when the person that got her out of that was Caitlyn Kiramman herself?
How am I supposed to be normal when Vander told Vi “whatever happens it’s on you” days before he died and she carried that for seven years before anyone told her that what happened to her sister wasn’t her fault
I'm literally coping with it at the boxing gym at this point (see what I mean?!?!)
this fuck ass arcane mentality state has got to be clinical. like caitvi is ALL I think about. i need a lobotomy at this point jesus. someone just like slap me on the side the head to knock the caitvi voices and thoughts out. i just need a hard reset.
I would like to add how relevant it is for her to still fall into these feminine characteristics here and there. She is not a man, and that's the whole point. She is not extremely feminine but still wears makeup and tops. Her facial features are soft. Even still, there is no "revelation of extreme happiness, and motivation from being feminine, and how it would be life-changing." (That's just stupid, I hate that trope.)
She just doesn't care. There are more important things (like an upcoming war, losing her family, dealing with being an enforcer, a heartbreak, and the list goes on and on...)
Even if there was a situation/scene of her wearing a dress, I don't think she would hate it. I believe Violet is just too comfortable with herself to care about that. Honestly, I feel like her clothing style is practical and a reflection of the life she has.
can we just…appreciate Vi for a second? For all the “let women be feminine” posting I’ve seen, I have literally never seen a butch 100% gender non-conforming female character. There is always a scene where she is forced to wear a dress, where she learns that being girly isn’t that bad. But Vi? She’s so unapologetic about her presentation. She never wears a dress once. Her fighting style isn’t “oh she’s skinny and fast” like most other women fighters on TV: Vi is muscular and punches the shit out of things. She’s angry, commanding, and assertive. We need more female characters like Vi.
Fuck. I'm the career overachiever.
Aka the menace to society.
There are two kinds of people, separated by the way they dealing with heart shuttering break up:
They becoming sad alcoholic hobo with no sense of personal hygiene...
2. ...or career overachiver.
Amen.
The 'Cait, I don't fucking care' is so simple yet incredibly satisfying
