The Salvation army (at least in Australia) takes money from donations and gives it to anti-LGBTQIA+ lobby group. NOT the thousands upon thousands they get from the government. Money from donations and from op shops.
In 2019 they were the largest contributors to an anti-safe school lobby initiative. The safe school policy in Australia protects vulnerable youth from harassment by both peers and teachers based on race, gender identity, sexual identity, economic standing and ethnicity.
Donating to the Salvation army directly hurts the LGBTQIA+ community

BABY ALERT 🚨🚨🚨
I've had a hard time coming to terms with my romantic orientation. Sexual orientation that was easy! But realising I'm aromantic took a while. Especially because I know in my heart that I am bisexual.
A lot of people put in my head that those two things can't exist in one person. I know now how much of a lot of shit that is! No one can tell me what I should and shouldn't feel, what I can and can't call myself. It makes me so happy to find other people feel the same way!
And so I'm here posting a picture of the bi/aro flag! I may have found it on Twitter at unnecessary LGBT flags but to me this is so necessary so essential so I can finally feel accepted.
Hot Toddy part 2!! It's really cold today so I wanted to make another toddy but I don't think I can go for more of the first one I made. It's so boozey. So instead I made one following a recipe by Jamie Oliver.
Mine's a little different. I didn't have any star anise or cloves but I did have cinnamon sticks and nutmeg. I also used twists of lemon and orange. Otherwise I followed the recipe.
Not gonna lie mate it was bland at first. Then I added extra whiskey and GAGGED! But after brewing it in the teapot for a bit and adding a bit more honey it was quite nice. I love whiskey but the ones I own don't seem to work in toddys. The cinnamon and honey saved the day. Jamie said 3 minutes to brew. Nope. Waaaayyyy longer. Otherwise it's a waste of spices.
Maybe I'm just bad at toddys. But I'm not giving up just yet! Next challenge, The Manhattan!
