They’re dating (they also killed hades)
Drew megrez with some shit on her eye #to cope with that I also have some shit in my eye for some days
May Dionysus Androgynous look after my trans brothers, sisters, and siblings who need it the most right now. May He bless you with the comfort of knowing you're not alone and the ability to remember how much strength you truly possess. May He grant you a glimpse into the memories of the millions of trans souls who came before us, as we have always existed, and remind you of how incredibly resilient our community has always been.
Hail Dionysus, the Great Liberator! May He break the chains that bind us all and ignite the spark of revolution within our hearts. 💜🍇🥂🏳️⚧️
People forget that Kendrick isn't a hater of Drake for no reason.
Kendrick is defending the raping of Black American culture, calling out Drake for his mistreatment of Black American women specifically (Serena, Megan Thee Stallion, hood girls etc), calling out the weird alpha bro behavior where they basically describe wanting control over girls cuz grown women don't wanna date their misogynistic asses.
It's bigger than Drake. We have some former white rappers who turned country singers claiming rap/hip hop isn't a real art form while trying to gatekeep Beyonce from country. We have people using AAVE incorrectly and trying to correct Black Americans on their own dialect. We have anti Blackness skyrocketing during Black History Month via the hate spewed at the Black Grammy winners Beyonce, Doechii, and Kendrick.
Yes, the beef was entertaining to a lot, but to the Black American community the beef represented Kendrick fighting for our respect and using his hatred to protect another genre Black people created that would've been dubbed "vapid party music" due to Drake's colonizer mindset.
tears in my autist eyes
Saw this post by @peggy-sue-reads-a-book and inspired me to make this art of Dionysus. 😊
Bonus pic: (makes you want to wipe away his tears and hug him and tell him he's loved)
Seriously imagine kid Dionysus being in awe and curious about his powers and himself as a person and still being very innocent of the world vs after he fully embraces it.
Like him at a young age learning how to create grapes on command, making a beautiful change in scenery. His eyes sparkle with joy and nymphs, Hermes, Apollo encourage him. His life looks happy, away from Hera's wrath hoping for a simple life.
But Hera made him mad as punishment. Wandering aimlessly for a long time until he finally snapped out of it. He's alone, an outcast, in foreign lands and tries to befriend people, find some new start. Some follow him, some despise him. His festives an addiction, yet mocked for not following "society rules".
After finally making a name for himself and becomes an Olympian he returns to his mother's home. Only to have his name mocked by the same people he's part of the family.
So you have a god that represents life but also death, but only wants to bring joy the most to everyone. Yet he's been facing hardships since day one. Pentheus was the cherry on top and the start of finally him becoming the God of madness.
Instead of jack discourse we should start bandit discourse.
They feel like an Orientalist version of themselves. The story, not just the characters, treats them as subhuman at every turn. Pandora has a bandit population that'd be unsustainable without agriculture yet we never see bandits do any farming or herd any livestock. I can go on
