rewatching game of thrones right now and the scene where cersei asks for lady to be killed in nymeria’s place is such a good metaphor/foreshadowing for sansa’s experience over the course of the rest of the show (for a while). she lies and allies herself with the lannisters for her own safety, playing the perfect lady, but ultimately she is repeatedly the one punished for her family’s actions because she’s simply the stark they have lying around. killing lady symbolized them cutting her off from her family and heritage at the same time they ‘defanged’ her.

This comment encapsulates my (and I’d say most critical’s) feelings regarding Stolass perfectly. Helluva Boss as a whole is squandered potential- consistently failing to execute any of the concepts it has in natural/satisfying ways. It’s most noticeable with Moxxie and Stolas. The only character I’d say has good setup and payoff is Fizz (and even then I’d say it was still a little too quick).

The output of the animation studio Spindle Horse has rapidly gone from the personal OC playspace of an enthusiastic animator to a merchandise-funded animation empire, attracting attention and financing from A24 and Amazon, besides doing millions and millions of views on YouTube.

Hazbin Hotel, the animated musical series that was picked up by Amazon Prime and which probably introduced a lot of people to the sensibilities of the studio's output, is in my opinion kind of a 7/10 sort of show, but it has attracted a fanbase that operates on K-pop stan levels of intensity. This is usually a pretty good sign that something interesting is going on artistically, so... let's have a look, I guess?
