that reality check hitting after reading smut
this season being deemed as the most violent by the writers and the cast and this season also being the one where i can finally see the adult yellowjackets in their teen counterparts is so heartbreaking and such incredible acting and story telling
like the Lottie who intiated the hunt at the end of season 2? i couldn't recognize her she was in a coma when they hunted Nat and butchered Javi she was cutting her own finger to protect the others she was taking the punches to keep the peace she was meditating her psychosis away she was such a pacifist she didn't want any violence how could she grow to believe killing someone is the solution? Season 3 Lottie who has had all the atrocities of season 2 pushed on her blamed on her who's growing more and more unstable with trauma after trauma on an already ill mind who sees intruders who might hurt her loved ones and immediately buries an axe in their heads and giggles at a job well done? yeah that's adult Lottie, that smile at the face of violence, that girly little giggle, that awe at the blood, that joy while everyone stands there horrified, that was adult Lottie in the season 2 finale, that's teen Lottie now in season 3
i could see Nat's fashion choices and music taste, "superficial" things, but after she let a child die for her, ate him, made herself lead people when she doesn't know shit herself and finally, finally killed Ben, a man she loved and respected and associated with human kindness and decency, things she will never feel towards herself again, the way her voice deepened as if she went permanently hoarse from crying, that nonchalent gangly almost limp walk, as if she's completely dissociated from her body, the walls of agressivity and indifference she put up and never lets down again, that's Adult Nat
Shauna going through all stages of grief over and over and over and over again until she settles on anger because it's the only stage that makes her feel alive, who laughs when she sees a man's brains leaking on the dirt, yeah i finally see Adult Shauna
the way i have no idea how to fuckin use tumblr đ
and??? she looked good doing it!

The handcuffs around your wrists felt like an unnecessary touch. You werenât really sure why these people even had them in the first place, but after what you did to a quite few of them, you guessed it was probably a smart precautionary measure. Arthur Harrowâs followers kept shoving you forward like you couldnât walk yourself. Your legs and hands ached and so did your head, but the pain suddenly went to the back of your mind when your eyes met the reason you were here.
Marc was kneeling on the ground, hands behind his back. The several guns pointed directly at his face made you swallow thickly, throat drying up fast. Your name flew out of his mouth when he saw you, eyes hanging on the blood stains all over your clothes before searching for any injuries. Marc immediately assumed the worst because thatâs always been what heâs best atâand you mustâve been bleeding out with the amount of red he could see.
He lunged at Harrow, but his shoulders were pressed down roughly. âYou piece of shit!â
âItâs not mine, Marc,â you reassured him, wrists straining against the tight cuffs.
âDid quite a number on my people, actually,â Harrow said as he took a few steps towards you. You thought you heard the faint sound of broken glass, but you werenât sure where it was coming from. He glanced over his shoulder. âI canât help but wonder what Ammitâs verdict might be.â

SUMMARY - skipping practice and getting caught partying.
3.2k words. Jackie Taylor x Fem! Reader.
TW - alcohol, some jerk tries to take advantage of the reader.
Normally you would walk to practice with Taissa after class, but today you managed to slip out earlier. After finishing your lab you politely asked your teacher to go to the library, but you already gathered all your stuff and headed toward the door before she could even respond. As a teacherâs pet your teacher lets you go knowing your intentions were probably for good. Little did she know that you were going to ditch class and help your friends set up for a party later. Walking with purpose, you meet your friends in the parking lot before any of the yellowjackets could have noticed that you were gone.
As the bell rings, Taissa packs up her stuff and looks over toward your desk to notice that you were missing. It wasnât out of the norm for you to go to practice early once you finished your work, but usually, you would have given her a heads-up. She contemplates whether or not she did something wrong that caused you to leave in such a hurry, but nonetheless, she walked towards the locker room expecting you to be there.
Usually on Fridays, the yellowjackets would have a game, but this week was their bi-week. However, with the absence of a game in the schedule, the captain decided that they should put in extra work and add an extra practice.
Once Tai was in the locker room she glanced around looking for you, but to her findings, you were not there. âHey has anyone seen y/n?â she questioned before no one was able to confirm the whereabouts of your presence. âI'm sure sheâll be here, she never misses a practice. Maybe she went to turn in work before practice started? I mean technically she has till we start stretching on the field until sheâs officially late.â Van acknowledges in attempts to make sense of your sudden disappearance. âYeah, you're right⌠She was just acting a little weird today.â Tai admits before beginning to get ready to head out to the field. âI'm sure the Lord will lead her to practice safely! We should not have to worry for her.â Laura optimistically states before she goes out to the field. âHopefully she gets here before Jackie starts terrorizing us for letting her get away with this,â Natalie said bluntly as she also headed out for practice. The rest of the girls hummed in response not particularly defending you as they finished getting ready and headed out to the field.
While they were about to start practice your friends voted that you should be the one to go on beer runs due to your charm, but you knew that they were just afraid to do it. You agreed with hesitation as your friends chipped in a bunch of money. Counting up the cash they drove to the liquor store that has a reputation for letting teens slide. Sighing nervously, you exited the car as you entered the store and smiled slightly at the man before heading towards shelves that had brands you were familiar with. Building up the courage to ask the man for help collecting some drinks, you looked towards him before asking timidly âCan I have a little help over here? I think I'm biting off more than I can chew and buying more than I will be able to carryâŚ:â. The owner was quick to jump to help as he brought over two boxes to put the drinks in while grinning at you widely already suspecting what you were doing. âSo what do you need all of this alcohol for? Big party tonight?â he asked as he started helping to put drinks that you pulled out into the boxes. âSomething like that⌠we are having a wedding on Sunday and being the life of the party I decided to go out of the way to make it a little more fun.â lying straight through your teeth as you smiled at him. âOh yeah? Whoâs getting married? I know almost everyone in this town,â he challenged unconvinced by your previous statement. âOh it's a distant cousin. My mom owns the local wedding venue by the lake so she offered the place completely free of charge.â quickly made up a response as you finished putting the drinks in the boxes and going to lift one in an attempt to avoid eye contact. âWell, congratulations to them!â He said chuckling as he picked up the other box and went towards the counter to ring you up. He rings up about three hundred dollars worth of alcohol before he says âCan I see your ID?â. You looked at him afraid. âShitâ you thought as you stumbled getting out your wallet to look through it to make it look like you were looking for an ID before he announces âIâm just kidding. You should of saw the look on your face! Will that be cash or card?â he laughs out loud as he waits for a response. âVery funnyâ you thought sarcastically before faking a smile at him âCash.â You hand him the wad of cash your friends gave you and once he hands back the change you were quick to pocket it. âDo you need any help carrying this to your car?â he asked genuinely but you responded quickly âDon't worry about it, Iâll just make the two trips,â you said hurriedly as you grabbed one box and brought it to the trunk of the car. One of the guys was leaning on it and he offered to quickly take the box and put it in the trunk smirking. As you went back in to get the final box the owner looks at you genuinely before saying âHave fun kid.â with a smile. Smiling back as a response you brought the second box giddily as you were surprised with what you got away with. As you hand off the box to the boy you jumped in the car ecstatic already looking forward to the night.
Back at practice, Jackie was quick to notice your absence. âWhereâs y/l/n? Is she sick?â she asked a little frustrated that you did not inform her earlier of your absence. After a moment of silence, Tai jumped in âShe disappeared during class⌠maybe she was not feeling well?â Tai offered in an attempt to save you. âNot feeling well my ass, I'm sure she would have said something,â Jackie remarked quickly as all of the girls started to stretch. Once practice was over Jackie was determined to find your whereabouts and shun you for not being a team player and participating. Some reasons were thrown out there about why you might have not shown up to practice today, but none of them made sense. They moved on to start practice and time seemed to fly by as the sun was already down. They were over before they knew it and back in the locker room. As they all were finishing up for the day Lottie received a text before she summarized it out loud â...seems like there's a party at y/nâs friend's house and it looks like sheâs already there.â Lottie smirks as the other girls crowd around her. Her phone had a picture of you and your friend, Jake, who draped his arms around you seemingly already drunk out of your minds. âYou got to be kidding meâŚâ Jackie scoffs as a tinge of jealousy is evident on her face. â Who knew she had the balls in her!â Van announces loudly laughing before continuing â...I think I know where we should go tonight!â Van suggests an attempt to start a little drama.âI swear, y/l/n will never be able to step on the field again after this.â Jackie said frustrated as she walked out of the locker room to hurry home. The girls left in the locker room looked around a little astonished by their captainâs urgency but were overcome with excitement as they planned to go to the party.
Once Jackie finished picking out an outfit with Shauna they waited for Jeff to take them to the party. âI canât believe she would do this to us. We are so close to making it to the championships and sheâs being completely reckless. Then she had that guy hanging off her as if she has no care about her reputation. It makes the team look bad!â she rambles on to her best friend complaining about your actions, but she was full of jealousy. âJackie, the girl skips once and itâs almost the end of the world. Let us be realistic now.â Shauna says sarcastically over Jackie's complaints âWhy do you care anyways? Itâs like your obsessed with her.â she chuckles lightly as she turns to Jackie looking at herself in the mirror. âIâm not obsessed! I just care about the team! I mean sheâs out throwing a rager in little to no clothes and expects the school to take us seriously?â Jackie sighs as she clearly could not hide her jealousness. âI think it might be much deeper than that⌠Iâm sure once you find her you guys can have a conversation about our reputation and your obsessionâŚâ Shauna jokes knowingly before dodging a pillow Jackie threw at her. âOh shut up! She wonât even make it out alive!â Jackie plays along before being interrupted by Jeff honking his horn. âWe better get going before she won't even be able to remember your attack.â Shauna snickers as they head out to go to the party.
You wandered around the party completely lost as your friends ditched you half an hour ago to play a game of beer pong. Holding a cup with your name smeared on it and wearing a pair of glasses that were not yours it was not difficult to tell your a few drinks away before making decisions you will regret later. Stumbling towards the kitchen you ran into a couple of football players and their girlfriends. You grin up at them before attempting to get to the counter to fill up another drink as you take off the glasses, but before you could make it a tall guy steps into your view. âHey gorgeous!â he said smugly before continuing â...if you're looking to fill your cup you're out of luck.â This was the worse thing you heard all night as you looked around the kitchen and only saw empty bottles âNoooooo!â you slurred completely devastated. âHey calm down! Im sure there might be some more downstairs in the bar roomâŚâ he said chuckling as you were completely unaware of his intentions. The idea of another drink excited you before exclaiming âReally? Where?â. He smirks down at you before taking you down the hall and opening the stairs to the basement. Before anything happens the yellowjackets arrived at the perfect time as Lottie grabs onto your arm pulling you away from the guy. âWhat the hell do you think youâre doing with her?â Lottie yelled as Jackie followed after her shortly after noticing the situation. Jackie did not hesitate to grab your waist before pulling you to her side as she looked menacingly at the guy âWho do you even think you are, asshole? No wonder youâre single you can't even get a girl when sheâs sober, so you try to take advantage of them! Get the hell out of here!â She screamed out at the boy. He mumbles a âscrew youâ under his breath before he backs down from fighting the girl's soccer captain.
She looked down at you as her heart broke at the idea of your friends leaving you alone at the party in such a vulnerable state. Noticing tears were threatening to spill from your eyes she looked up at Lottie before saying âCan you make sure to tell off her friends? I Canât even stand the idea of those losers right now.â She huffed out. Lottie nodded understandingly as she left off to complete her mission.
Jackie began to lead you outside to allow you to get a breath of fresh air. She lead you to where all the cars were parked, but she still held you close by her side embracing your warmth. Begrudgingly pulling away from you, she gently holds your shoulders to look into your eyes in an attempt to read the thoughts in your mind. âI donât think you understand half of how worried and frustrated I am right now,â she said clearly before going to cup your face to wipe off your tears. As she held onto your face you looked down at her lips before back at her eyes. The liquor started talking to you as you leaned in quickly and kissed her softly. Jackie was stunned by the sudden outburst but did nothing to stop you. ây/n..â she whispered after pulling away to read the emotions on your face. In attempts to sober up quickly, you looked at Jackie to find a response before admitting âYou donât know how long I was waiting for that.â but you consciously facepalmed yourself. âOh, god no, sorry Jackie⌠I didnât mean it like that⌠but also I didâŚâ you said slurring and stumbling over your words as Jackie smiled down at you a little amused at your performance. âWhat I meant to say is thank you, for saving me, and Iâm sorry for skipping,â you said still clearly tipsy but Jackie acknowledges your statements. âWeâll talk about it later when you're in a clear headspace and sober.â She said smirking.
You continued your drunken rambles saying â...but I meant the kiss, Jacks⌠I mean come on! Have you met yourself!â laughing as Jackie starts to walk in the direction of your home that wasnât too far from the party. She smiles softly at your comment, âLetâs get you back home before you regret something laterâ chuckling as she wrapped an arm around you to prevent you from falling and injuring yourself as the two walked. âTrust me, I havenât yet made a decision bad enough that I will regret it! Besides, youâre my knight in shining armor!â gazing up at her with a loving look as she blushed at your comment. âWait till the other girls find out that you have a soft spot for me! Youâll never hear the end of their teasing.â you continued as she held onto you even tighter. âWell, maybe I would take all the teasing in the world to make sure you are safe.â She admitted and now it was your turn to blush. She truly believes the saying that drunk words are sober thoughts, so she was a little happy that you ended up safe in her arms this night confessing.Â
Once you got home you clumsily lead her into your backyard to sneak in your bedroom window. You had no idea whether or not your parents were home, but it was better to be safe than sorry to avoid getting caught. Familiar with this route, you put up the ladder to give you access to your roof to climb into your room. She insisted that you would go first so she can stay behind to make sure you donât accidentally fall and can attempt to catch you. You smiled at her thoughtfulness as you climbed up and entered through the window. Looking back she followed a few steps behind you entering your room. Observing your room she smirked at the posters on your walls and some pictures you had from your childhood and others of you just hanging out with your friends and family. She was quick to go towards your desk to look through your stuff as she saw a Polaroid of you two together where she was kissing your cheek after a game. She smiled at the memory before picking it up to show you âDidnât know you would have kept this? You could of at least framed it.â she teases as your face turned red. âOh ummm, I thought it was a good picture and I didnât have the heart to throw it awayâŚâ trailing off gently as you headed off to the bathroom to avoid embarrassment, but also to clean up after the night. Smiling at your reaction she put the photo down âI wish you had a copy of it. I would take it everywhere.â stating lovingly as she did not want to emphasize too much of her feelings for you in your current state. Once you finished cleaning up you exited to pick out a pair of pajamas for yourself, but also picked out a pair for Jackie. âHereâ tossing her one of your sweaters and a pair of shorts with a playful smile as you grabbed your own. Jackie caught it a little surprised before stating âI was not planning to stay the nightââ before you interrupted âYouâre out of your mind if you think Iâm going to let you walk back to the party⌠or for that matter to your house all alone at night. Just stay the night⌠I promise I won't biteâŚâ smirking as you started to strip and change into your nightwear. She was flustered and had to pry her eyes off of you to save herself from falling even more in love with you before sighing âYouâre rightâŚâ and was quick to change into your clothes. She embraced the soft floral perfume that lingered on your sweater and already started to plan how she was going to steal it.
Once you both finished your room was filled with light that shone in from your window from the moon and a light breeze. You were quick to get into your bed, but Jackie was nervous as she hesitated slightly. Holding the blanket up for her to get under she could not resist your offer. The silence was comforting but Jackie's thoughts of y/n were taking over her mind.
As you got comfortable, you take a moment to look up at her observing her conflicted facade. âHey, are you alright?â you questioned her softly before turning in the bed to face her directly. She was suddenly nervous from your actions as a light blush tinted her cheeks, âYeah, I'm just thinking about the nightâŚI loved that I was able to spend this time with you even if it did not start off great earlier. You know you have to be more careful right?â. Her gaze was now focused on you and your soft features and that made you to be flustered also âI know, Iâm sorry. I never really had the opportunity to thank you properly for saving meâŚâ your voice was barely above a whisper as your eyes flickered between her gaze and her lips. Jackie got the hint and gladly reached out to cup your face with one of her hands before she guided you to her lips. The kiss was passionate and left you both breathless as you pulled away to grin at her. âI will forever be grateful for my saviorâ whispering teasingly as you leaned on her chest and got comfortable. She laughed lightheartedly before wrapping her arms around you as she began to trace patterns gently on your back âGet some sleep, youâre going to have a long day ahead of you tomorrow, sweetheart.â teasing back before gently playing with your hair with her other hand. Humming at her response you smiled in the crook of her neck as you fell asleep. Before Jackie knew it you were out like a light. Smiling softly she kissed the top of your head as she let herself fall asleep knowing her dream woman was safe in her arms.
