You should be furious that people trying to escape genocide in Gaza, Sudan, Congo all need raise an absurd amount of money just to survive

You should be furious at how these people went through atrocity after atrocity and still need raise tens of thousands of dollars to get away

You should be furious at this insidious thing that completely encapsulates how capitalism feeds off of blood

completely disagree with terf and everything it stands for but I believe in this

Women are instilled from an early age with a deep shame regarding our female anatomy.

We're told our genitals smell like fish, that "roast beef curtains," are hilarious and a sign that a woman is a sl*t, that our natural pubic hair is offensive. That periods are disgusting and shameful, and should be kept secret. We aren't even properly taught about our own anatomy- a lot of women don't know until later in life that the vulva and vagina are separate, and that the urethra is not the same opening as the vaginal opening.

There's hardly any research into female-specific medical conditions. Nearly 10% (1 in 10) women are afflicted with endometriosis, yet there's literally no research on what causes it. PCOS is also under-researched. It's all shoved under the rug, too stigmatised to be discussed.

While boys can talk freely about their dick and balls, the words "vagina" or "vulva," are still treated like a humiliating joke at best, and a vulgar obscenity at worst.

Men talk with pride about their genitals. To "grow a set" = to start acting tough and assertive. To "have big balls" = to be brave. "Big dick energy" = to be a charismatic "alpha" that commands attention.

Meanwhile, there are no positive cultural connotations regarding the vulva/vagina. Even "serving cunt" is used as a tongue-in-cheek memetic joke.

I think it's very predatory that shame, disgust and aversion about having a vagina/vulva is marketed as a sign that a girl/woman is dysphoric. That it should just be censored and called a "front hole" or a "bonus hole," to avoid the stigma. It's a cultural by-product of the crushing misogyny imbedded into society.

MOST women grow up feeling shame about having a vulva/vagina, and have to put conscious effort into unlearning that shame.

hey there.... *leans on car*

I like when people like a character so way too much that it transcends even self shipping or kinning and becomes more of a patron saint that you pray to type of deal

wishing all crowdkillers a very painful day. u must taste what u inflict.

for real, crowdkilling doesn't make you punk, it makes you a dangerous asshole who clearly doesn't care about the health and safety of those in your community. quite literally the opposite of punk.

last night after getting badly injured by some cis dude during a song about, by, and for lesbians, someone told me it was my "fault for going to the show". no it's fucking not. attending a show is not an open invitation to be maimed.

punk should be accessible for disabled people. punk is largely FOR and BY disabled people. anybody that says "well if you're disabled then you shouldn't go" can fuck themselves into oblivion. it was OUR show. an event put on and performed by disabled queers. FOR DISABLED QUEERS. ALWAYS.

disabled people have just as much right to attend events as you do. in fact I'd argue we have more of a right to be there bc we don't constantly put the general public at risk of bodily harm.

we should be able to attend our own shows without the risk of life changing injuries bc some dude is taking his anger out on a bunch of strangers.

don't get me wrong, I love moshing. mosh all u want, but have some fucking etiquette and remember that not everybody is healthy and able bodied. and they especially wont be if yall keep hurting everyone.

punk is about community. it's about caring for eachother and creating a safe place for people to express themselves. it is NOT about being violent or destructive, or seeing how many innocent people you can mow down. if you do that shit you're not punk, you're just an asshole.
