I know she's not technically here yet, but lets hears some Queen Barb head cannons! Anything about how she grew up or when he dad started to deteriorate? Some happy times? Stuff like that!

OF COURSE!!!

- Barb’s Mom died when she was very young. Similar to Poppy, she doesn’t remember much about her.

- King Thrash was an amazing father, his daughter got everything she wanted! They have a very close relationship, and he used to call her “Firecracker”.

- King Thrash performed a lot of concerts, and Barb was right there with him! From just sitting in his hair, to playing along, she and him both had a flair for the dramatics! (And pyrotechnics!)

- King Thrash began to show signs of memory loss when Barb was ten. Just like Peppy, it has slowly progressed through the years, despite the Rock Trolls having greater advances in medicine. Barb became his primary caretaker, and the new Rock Queen, by 21, making her the youngest Queen in Troll history.

- Due to her age, a lot of Rock Trolls don’t respect her, and she has to fight hard for everything she has, feeling like she has something to prove…

- She still puts on amazing performances, and her Dad still comes to every one.

Sorry, most of these are about her Dad, it’s the first things I thought of off the top of my head! A lot of parallels to Poppy…

Not really sure how to ask this? Sorry? But are we going to see more people flirting with John Dory à la CloudGuy calling John “Dad bod”? (Chapter 62) That part made me Laugh so hard! And the brother’s reaction to it was amazing! Also I can’t wait to see white you shipping John with!

Probably won’t see anyone HARDCORE flirting with JD like Cloudguy was (I still love that scene so much!) But… There will defo be some scenes of people admiring our boi!

I am also excited to write John Dory’s ship, and a little nervous… But regardless, I love it, and I think it adds a lot to the story, so I’m hype!!!!

EDIT: HOLY SHIT WAIT ACTUALLY!!! There is ONE person who will kinda high key flirt with JD, I kinda forgot😅 So I guess to answer your question… Yes!

If John Dory, Branch, Poppy, and Rhonda are on the raft with Hickory, then I’m gonna assume that it’s only a matter of time until Chaz the Smooth Jazz Troll makes his “smooth” debut.

It’s official, I’ve been utterly sucked into this fic….

I was in two minds of posting this because I worried about the blue blood of all things! I honestly love this concept from @rydoesartandstuff

If it’s too much let me know but I was so taken by this scene it seemed a shame to cut this action from it! Anyway, I’m rather proud of this one. One thing I love as much as angst to draw is something dynamic and full of action because I love a challenge and I live for movement. I just hope I’ve done the scene justice.

That growlbeast I tell you was a b*tch to get right though! I had reference it and get a size ratio for it, in regards to the trolls so I could get it as accurate in that respect that i could! Hope this is okay as well *hides*

Wait will Branch know about what happened to Clay during the escape? Possibly before the reunion, Peppy talking about Viva and Clay or if John tells him about it or it accidentally slips out about the tunnel cave in. Like not only was Clay at the tree but also that he ran back to look for him and grandma.

What Branch knows is that Clay had stayed at the Troll Tree, and went missing in the tunnels. And he hasn’t questioned it further. I think deep down… He doesn’t want to know. The less he knows about his brothers, and their leaving/disappearance, the more he can almost emotionally sperate himself from them.

As for whether or not he’ll know before the third movie… We’ll have to wait and see!!!

How do you imagine the appearance and personalities of Branch's and his brothers' parents ? And also, which of the five brothers is most similar to which parent? Absolutely man! I got you!

Their mother, Sunny, is the daughter of Rosiepuff! She’s light purple, with golden yellow hair. She was know for being kind, and soft spoken, but she was definitely tough, basically second in command of the scouts at the Troll Tree! She had a great sense of humor, a sharp tongue to match Pine’s, and a laugh that could light up a room. And she could often be found high up in the foliage, dancing where the sun could reach the leaves (she was basically an acrobat up there!) She always dreamed of trying to escape the Troll Tree someday, but when she had her family, she thought better of it, wanting instead to just keep them safe. Gruesome death warning… She was killed while trying to save someone, a Bergen slapping her aside, and completely crushing her against the tree before Pine could reach her.

Their father, Pine, was a light blue troll with very dark, spiky green hair (thus the name “Pine”). He was a cocky, adventurous guy, who also had a sharp sense of humor. His adventurous, thrill seeking nature is what led him to being the head of the scouts. He always dreamed of escaping and hiking the Neverglade Trail, but to him, it was less of a dream, and more of a goal. He completely fell in love with Sunny, the two of them entirely happy together. He never really wanted kids, but… There’s nothing he would do for her.

However, Pine started showing early signs of schizophrenia. His is a bit different from JD, and more paranoid delusional. He became absolutely paranoid with the Bergens, thinking they were watching them constantly, him and Sunny in particular. And he believed he was the only one who knew this, and the only one who could stop them. This is what ultimately put strain on his family, and he and Sunny’s relationship, because not only was he struggling, but he absolutely refused to get help/change, thinking people were out to get him. (We might touch on this a bit more in the story!)

He ultimately died after he found Sunny’s body, walking to the edge of a branch, and letting a Bergen take him, right in front of young John Dory.

Heh… Rough, right?

Anyways, the bros do kinda take after both of their parents in different ways, but I will say, Pine carried John Dory, Bruce, and Branch’s eggs, and Sunny carried Clay and Floyd, so there’s a bit more similarities between the respectively!

Why do you think Pine and Sunny named the boys how they did?

OH, I got you, you know I’ve been thinking about this…

John Dory: Named after his mother, “Sunny”, who also has a fish based name! (Like the Bluegills, who are also called “Sunny’s” where I’m from!) Kinda ironic maybe, considering which parent he tends to take after…

Spruce: Named after his father, following the “tree” trend. (Mayhaps another reason he changed his name…?)

Clay: Named in honor his Grandpa “Peat”, who also had yellow hair, sorta following the dirt/ground part of nature. (Peat is Rosiepuff’s husband, but does not show up in the story, he died way before!)

Floyd: Bit of a toughy, but on the Trolls wiki, they mention Floyd’s name was a bit of a play on words from the word “Flood”. And he cried a lot as a kid so…

And we all know John Dory named Branch, after the designs on his egg, and because he wanted his brother to have a strong name, like a Branch that never bows to the wind.

But yeah, there we go! Can you tell I’ve thought about this before?😂
