i know this (i wish i didn't)

i am constantly choking, drowning
trying to claw my way through the
dirt like something half formed
there is something in my throat and
i can't get it out
one day it'll kill me
i know this, i wish i didn't

i wake up on boats that no longer exist
and can do nothing but sink under
i will be just like them and
there will be nothing i can do
at least, not anymore
