One of the reasons why I love Steddie is how sweet Eddie was with Steve in the forest scene. That’s what got me into this ship. It was nice to see someone being patient and kind to Steve like that and it coming from someone like Eddie who viewed Steve so differently means a lot.
I loved how he told him how much Dustin looks up to him, making Steve smile and even after that wanting to joke around a little to make Steve laugh as well.
It was such a nice change, because all the other scenes we just see him bickering with someone or people making him seem stupid when he asks questions. Eddie didn’t make fun of him for not knowing Ozzy like he probably would have prior to things and instead let it be and called Steve cool. I love them.

Obsessed with the sudden shift in Cas' willingness to say insane romantic shit to dean in season 8. A couple of seasons ago, he would tell dean that they had a profound bond to his face. That everything he did, he did for Dean. Now? He's hesitating. He clenches his fists to avoid hugging Dean back in purgatory. He stutters and looks away before saying he stayed away from Dean to protect him. When asked what broke through heaven's brainwashing, he looks away and says he doesn't know. It's so interesting to me
I'm supposed to be writing my grad thesis 🤡
a stranger things spin off that’s similar to marvel’s “what if…” but it’s live action and it’s just all our gay ships being canon in a parallel universe
i just know kas!eddie would be so dramatic
so, i’ve been a little nervous about writing the romance parts of my current fic. i’ve never written a kissing scene before and i want to make it good - it's a slow burn so the payoff's gotta be good. the only thing i can think of is to do a lot of reading…
all jokes aside, if you have any tips for writing romantic or intimate scenes…help a guy out?
Chapter seven is finally up on AO3!
Chrissy and Eddie have been best friends since middle school, ever since that one misguided kiss led to them coming out to each other in a panic. In order to shield themselves from the town’s homophobia, they promised that they’ll help each other find love; and that they won’t date until the other one does. Now, four years later, Robin finds out about their deal and in an attempt to shoot her shot with Chrissy, convinces Steve to take Eddie out on a date. The problem is Steve thinks he’s straight and Eddie hates him.
Or
A fic based on 10 Things I Hate About You, where the last thing that happened with the Upside Down was Starcourt (but Billy was never involved) and Eddie, Chrissy, Robin and Steve are trying to navigate their senior year and maybe, hopefully find love.
Chapter Synopsis
Robin has a tense dinner with her parents and Chrissy comes over for a French lesson. Steve tries to make it up to Eddie with a grand gesture. Eddie lets him take him out on a date.
Eddie, posting to his socials: Pro-tip! If you had a questionable childhood and you’re thinking of throwing out some lore about your past, maybe think twice before describing it as a funny story.
Eddie: Maybe say to yourself, ‘Hmm, would I think this was funny if one of my thirteen year old students told me this? Would this make me immensely sad hearing it from a child?’ before deciding to violently vibe check your husband with the saddest fucking thing I’ve heard in a while.
Steve, off-screen:
Steve: First of all, I agreed with you. Saying it out loud, it’s not a funny story. My bad.
Steve: Second, do not describe my childhood as ‘lore.’ I’m not an elf in your nerd shit.
