okay i've seen a lot of "eddie is the only one who doesn't treat steve like an idiot" discourse recently so allow me to take that and RAISE YOU

steve trying to quote that passage from sherlock holmes and instead of looking at him like he has three heads for getting it wrong eddie is just like "oh do you mean [corrected quote]? I didn't know you were a fan of sir conan doyle!"

steve: um i haven't actually read anything by him i just heard that quote from... someone and i thought it sounded cool. guess i screwed it up though huh

eddie: oh. dude. you gotta read sherlock holmes. you'll love it! *goes off on a rambly tangent that actually gets steve excited to read something for once in his life*

of course steve has to deal with the fact that he was never the strongest reader, and that was BEFORE all the head trauma, but he figures eddie doesn't need to know that just yet

How I sound defending my favorite character

every once in a while when i'm working on a fic, i get sucked down a research rabbit hole and emerge hours later without having made much progress. in an attempt to save others from this fate, i've begun putting together a spreadsheet of stranger things canon notes/references.

it includes everything from a list of every character mentioned on the show to locations in hawkins, a timeline of events, brands each character uses/eats, and other facts such as movies mentioned, birthdays, and more. no more wondering what eddie smokes! (he smokes camels, for the record.)

i figured i'd share just in case! go forth and prosper or whatever it is we're doing today. i'll continue updating as new information comes to light/i get the energy.

Just waiter Steve who’s in tiny black shorts because Robin didn’t like how the pair she was assigned fit. So they swapped, Robin with the baggier basketball shorts and Steve with the short but reasonable pair. Both of them have ties and a button down, and some days even wear sunglasses for the bit.

Though one day while on the clock, Rockstar Eddie comes in. High off his ass. Comes off as a dick, so Steve and Robin double team him. One of them “accidently” trips the other into dumping soup all over him. Then when the other is trying to clean it up, the other is purposely charging Eddie for the soup (it’s not like he’ll notice) and the older gentleman who comes here every day gets a free meal.

Turns out the older man that comes in there every day is Wayne and he’s now sitting across from a soup covered Eddie laughing his ass off because he knows how the wonder twins work when a customer is an asshole. (It’s not the first time he’s received a free meal from them)

Dean is contemplating all of his life choices, while Crowley is having the time of his life.

Supernatural really missed out on having an ongoing mini plot where Dean finds out Claire has been going by the Winchester name, because she realized it has pull with hunters and monsters. And at first he's flattered and gives her a call saying it'll probably get you in trouble so stop. But over time it keeps croping up that monsters and hunters keep mentioning, oh I didn't realize you had a kid? And of course it inevitably blows up in Claire's face which leads Dean calling her saying that she needs to get her ass to the bunker now. She's grounded. And right next to Dean is Cas and his phone starts ringing. Cas sighs and hands it to Dean because it's Claire. It's the best day of Dean's life. He answers and is like, hey kid. There's no praying your way out of this one. Cas also says you're grounded. Wanna go three for three? I can call Jody right now.
