Colorado Goals π
I've been in Colorado for 2 weeks, meaning I have 6 weeks left! Here are some of the goals I hope to achieve while here, now that I have a better understanding of my time and what activities I want to do out here!
consistent workout routine; minimum 3 days a week
minimum of 8k steps a day
morning and night gratitude journaling
morning and night skincare
use the hot tub once a week
go hiking at least once
start studying languages again (Spanish + Japanese)
cut back on my caffiene consumption, 1 cup a day maximum
try some new restaurants if financially possible
pay off rent and fees for upcoming move + current place I live back home
go to the hot springs (maybe....they kinda scare me)
maybe try a workout class in town (pilates, yoga, etc)
that's all I can think of for now! I will update thus list if anything pops up in my head for while I'm here! I'm only here until August 14th, and it's about to be July! How crazy!! I can't believe I've been here 2 weeks. It's seriously flown by. Honestly timento buckle down and do some new things!

Day 25: 90 Day Challenge π
Yesterday was such an odd day for me to be honest. I had a really good morning and night routine but otherwise the day itself was pretty bland.
πββοΈ Physical Health
nothing really
π§ Mental Health
guided journal morning and night
read 2 chapters of Atomic Habits
β₯οΈ Emotional Health
answered a journal prompt
cried over video call with my boyfriend because of how hard this year has been for me
meditated for 7 minutes in the morning
π Intellectual Health
booked study rooms for this week (to study languages)
completed my weekly spread for my bullet journal language tracker book
π Adulting
emailed my therapist about medications
figured out how to use the goodrx app
separated the gifts I bought for the people I bought them for (currently have gifts for boyfriend and his mom)
planned some tasks for this week
set up notion spreads for morning and night routines for fun
π₯° Self Love/Care
morning skincare routine
night skincare routine
brushed my teeth morning and night
used hair oil and a hair mask
took an hour long nap
See, it wasn't a bad day. Just kinda everywhere for me. Today should be a good day, tho.....today's my birthday! I get to go to lunch with my dad and talk to my boyfriend today a d that's probably it. I have a feeling today isn't gonna be a terrible day (not like my other birthdays have been). Here's to 21, and knowing that this year will be so much better than the last!

2024 goals & resolutions π
with 2024 right around the corner I figured it would be a good idea to list out some of my 2024 goals in the different areas of my life. I will have financial goals, health goals, fitness goals, academic goals, and relationship goals.

begin investing my money
use a monthly budget spreadsheet (loosely)
π Health Goals
Follow a semi anti inflammatory diet using the 80/20 principle

August 15th, 2023 π
My university resumes classes tomorrow! I am so excited to really begin and solidify my morning routine and get back into the school mindset and grind. I'm really planning on being successful this semester.
With the new semester starting, I figure it's time to set out some new goals and things I want to accomplish this semester.
Fall Semester Goals πΈ
π©· Academic Goals -
Pass every class with an A, no exceptions. I took on an easy class load for a reason.
Join 1 or 2 clubs. There's a club related to my major that I'm looking into, as well as a kpop club and a Japanese club that I'm looking into joining if I have the ability to.
Put effort into my classes. Don't miss class without a solid, valid excuse. Actually study and review class material outside of lectures. Ask questions in class and don't be afraid to go to office hours or tutoring.
π©· Personal Goals
Stick to a consistent morning routine! Workout, journal, read, make my bed, skincare, etc. Consistency builds confidence.
Pamper myself regularly. For me, this means the occasional retail therapy moment and getting my nails done every 4 to 6 weeks. I don't normally get my nails due to the nature of my job, but if I keep my nails short and not too flashy, it'll be great! My first appointment is at the end of this week, and I'm excited! The picture of nails I included is actually how I'm getting mine done!!
Routinely attend appointments. That includes lab work, therapy, psych, dental, and general physician appointments. My health is a priority, and I want to make sure I stay on top of it this semester.
π©· Social Goals
Attend study group sessions when applicable
Again, join a club or two. It's the best way to make friends with similar interests.
Attend social networking events on my campus. They have career fairs and professional fairs all the time. As a junior in university, I think it's time I start building some connections for future internship and career opportunities.
I also have some physical goals, but I will not be including those here as to not accidentally trigger anyone. I don't have particular deadlines for any of the goals I mentioned, but I feel like it's important to have these goals so I know the direction I want my semester to go in.
I'm really excited for this semester. It's time I put my best foot forward and succeed. I know I can do this. My GPA will increase, I will recieve more scholarships, and I will pass everything with high marks. I believe in myself.
To everyone also beginning their semesters, good luck!! I wish you all the best success in every way and that you all thoroughly enjoy everything these next few months bring!
Til next time, lovelies !! π©·
In Need of Motivation π
can anyone recommend some good studyspo YouTubers or just any studyspo content, study motivation advice and tips for right now?
I have homework and studying I need to work on but canβt find the motivation to move from my bed to my desk.
I might try a Study to Success video, or an old video from Studyquill.
also, Iβm curious, what keeps you guys going to get some work done when you donβt feel like doing it? What sparks your productivity?

Where Have I Been?
hello lovelies. so, I started the challenege, did one day, and all of a sudden I feel off the face of the earth. I fell into a bit of a depression, and while I've managed to pull myself out, life has been busy busy busy! This is probably the 2nd busiest week of the year (the 1st will be in August, and you'll find out why). Here's an update on life:
I fly to Colorado on the 16th, so....under 5 days now. I haven't packed or anything yet, but I plan on doing that either tomorrow or Thursday. And I have to clean and prepack for when I return because....
I signed a new lease for a new place to live! I'll have roommates who I haven't met yet (I'm taking over someone lease, actually), but my lease starts August 18th. I return from Colorado on the 14th of August, so....I'm going to be very busy once I return.
I decided to call it quits on getting a 2nd job. It's going to mess up the schedule with my first job, and it would only make me 200$ more a month, which I'm not worried about missing our on since I'll still sell stuff on depop once I return from Colorado and I'm going full time at my current job.
I've gone out to lunch with my dad a few times as well, it's been really nice hanging out with him and spending time with my dad. I lucked out in the dad department and spending time with him is one of my favorite things!
I've been debating going to San Fransisco in October for an XG concert, but I don't know if I'll have the money or ability to anymore. (thank you new apartment and all those fees and expenses!)
my anxiety has been terrible. I haven't changed anything about what I do, but I did squish a lot of anxiety inducing things into the span of two weeks, which....my bad on that. Now I know, don't do that to myself.
I bought new makeup! The juvias place bronzer, charlotte tillbury setting spray, nyx eyebrow stuff, and blush, ughhh I love buying new makeup, I just wish it didn't cost money!
I've gotten better at doing my makeup! I've had people not even notice I'm wearing it because it looks natural despite being like, a full face! Thank you perfect color matches on my skin tint, foundation, and concealors!
I went to two movies with a friend. We saw the new Strangers: Chapter One and the Planet of the Apes movie. Both were definitely good, in my opinion.
I now have to plan with my boyfriend for when he needs to come down here and get his stuff and work out changing the utilities to our roommates name since I'm leaving. I don't feel like it should be my job to coordinate that, but oh well. I guess it's too hard for him and his best friend (my roommate) to call each other for once?? Ugh, men get on my nerves sometimes.
I need to ask my dad and a friend to help me move upon my return, which also means I won't be able to work that weekend, which kind of sucks.
I need to declutter my room and start throwing away things I don't want or need anymore this week to make it easier on myself when I return from Colorado but hahaha I procrastinate a lot.
I'm stressed about paying rent. I'll have to pay rent for here and rent/fees for the new place before august and then September's rent for the new place, and my new rent is about double what I pay now. so yayy, adulting and finances. I don't feel qualified to be an adult, but here I am, age 21, an adult.
That's about it for now! Lots of stress, lots of anxiety, lots of stuff happening super close together. But that's life, I guess. Forgive me for my absence from my blogs. I also stopped studying spanish for now, and my routines are non-existent. Colorado will change that, tho, for sure. I do plan on updating a little more frequently once things settle down when I'm in Colorado. but for now, it'll be kinda here and there with my posting.
thank you for all the patience and kindness, lovelies. til next time π©·
Daily Check-in: Dec 16th 2024 π
Made the beginning of a check in for Sunday, saved it to drafts, and now I can't remember a single thing I did on Sunday besides cry from anxiety. Yesterday was good tho, despite honestly not doing much. Being on break is always so difficult for me. I begin to lack energy, motivation, and discipline, and it leaves me feeling very negative about myself. Hopefully I can turn that around soon.

another reblog for future me π
I think Iβm doing so good in Korean because Iβm constantly watching things in Korean and exposing myself to the language.
1. K-pop
Iβm such a big K-pop fan and it really helps my learning process. If I didnβt enjoy K-pop I donβt think Id be able to comprehend half of what I can today.
I watch a lot of βvlogsβ from my favorite idols. (My fav to watch are LE SSERAFIMβs vlogs, theyβre just really easy for me to understand and entertaining at the same time).
ATEEZ is always doing something and theyβre my ult group so Iβm just constantly watching them. Recently though I havenβt been watching their stuff so I have a lot to catch up on π
The music makes no sense to me because obviously song lyrics arenβt written in conversational everyday Korean so I donβt even really count that as listening comprehension. Every now and then Iβll catch a word I know and get shocked though π
I used to watch V-lives or whatever theyβre called now a lot but I canβt focus for that long anymore. (λ°μ±ν has the best lego lives)
2. K-Dramas
I donβt watch as many dramas as some people but I feel like theyβve definitely helped me get used to listening to Korean.
I try not to take any phrases or vocab from dramas because itβs a dramaβ¦ and theyβre dramatic π
I started watching Business Proposal like a month ago but I got distracted with exams and I stopped watching it with 2 episodes leftβ¦ (SPOILERS: istg if ν리 and ν무 donβt stay together Iβm giving up on everything)
3. Korean Cartoons
I LOVE Learn Korean with Jadoo. I barely understand any of it but itβs helped me a lot with understanding how certain grammar points are used and how certain words are used.
I also like watching Peppa Pig in Korean because the episodes are short and sweet and theyβre relatively easy to understand.
I used to watch We Bare Bears in Korean but I watched like every episode they had on YouTube so now Iβm rewatching in Spanish. (I genuinely love We Bare Bears, itβs always been the best cartoon out there)
4. Korean News
I like to read a lot of Korean news to help with pronunciation and reading comprehension. It also allows me to find some more specific vocabulary that I would use in describing what I do, what I like, and what I want to do in my future because I can find real stories that are specific to my interests.
5. ASMR
Soy ASMR and Seonghwas ASMR videos have been single-handedly holding my life up. Judy ASMR is also a really good creator. I like to watch like roleplay ASMR like βfriend does your makeup for a partyβ or whatever because it exposes me to more casual vocabulary.
1. Classes
I do take Spanish classes at school so I get over and hour of Spanish immersion in while at school everyday. We mainly use Spanish in the classroom.
2. Spanish Documentaries
Iβm a bit more advanced in Spanish than I am in Korean so I prefer to watch Documentaries as to cartoons.
Documentaries also interest me more than cartoons in some aspects like learning more about different latin cultures, hearing different accents and dialects, and learning about how other people live.
3. Cartoons
I only really watch We Bare Bears in Spanish because I just like the show, but sometimes Spanish feels like a chore to me or like Iβm just learning it to pass a class at this point, so cartoons are a good way to just casually comprehend the language.
4. Spanish News
I found this really good Spanish news for kids website and itβs so incredibly helpful. Iβm in the process of making a βSpanish Resourcesβ blog post like I did with Korean so Iβll definitely link that there.
I read the articles out loud to help get more comfortable with speaking, reading and my pronunciation.
They also have a podcast thatβs just like a read aloud of the article so after I read the article, I go and listen to the podcast.
The topics are really interesting, too. Like one of them was about this lady bringing her pet pig to the airport to help calm people down??? I wanna go pet a pig wdym????
6. Spanish music
There are no words in the English language to express how much I love Spanish music.
Itβs literally just so beautiful.
In class we have broken down various songs, so I can understand music very easily unlike in Korean even if I have to think about the lyrics for a bit.
7. Spanish YouTube videos/ASMR
I watch a lot of βun dΓa en mi vidaβ type videos and I love ASMR so I watch a lot of those. π

Looking forward to having a good day today, since I don't work! Work has been slightly stressful lately, so I'm very happy that today is my day off.
Also, help a girl out with her language studies! Spanish and Korean tied on my last poll, so help me decide between the two!

Daily Check-in: April 4, 2024 π
What a good day! I swear I hadn't had a day so good in so long, but this day was absolutely amazing!
π©· What I Accomplished Today:
reviewed chapters 8 and 9 of Spanish on Busuu
Studied my Spanish flashcards 1x all the way through
listened to three podcast episodes in spanish
read a chapter of Deep Work, the last chapter of Atomic Habits, and a section from 101 Essays to Change The Way You Think
discovered and listened to "A Better You" podcast by Fernanada Raamirez
Went to my make up chemistry lab
took a make up psyc quiz
met with my psych doctor
had a therapy session
had a meeting with the director of the Dietetic program for my university
filled out an application to become an SI instructor (just not to turn it in to the head SI guy now)
Caught up on my chemistry notes
opened a savings account for my university
searched for nearby places to rent/live (I'm moving out soon, sometime this year)
π©· What Went Good Today:
Got encouraged to add a 2nd major in Finance
Created a list/schedule of classes for next semester that I'm really excited about
learned about other on-campus job opportunities in case SI doesn't work out
felt confident about my psyc quiz after I took it
the director of the Dietetic program was the absolute sweetest and most helpful, and I am so glad I met with her because she answered all of my questions and gave me some great encouragement
finished my chem lab very quickly
didn't need extra money to open a savings account so a savings account got opened
π©· What Could Have Gone Better:
I felt like I bugged my dad a lot, but I was just so excited to tell him how good everything was going
Need to re evaluate how much I can realistically save per paycheck at the moment for my housing situation AND the college savings account
got a bit emotional with my boyfriend over some past stuff
did not eat the best or the healthiest
psych doc ordered an EKG because she is concerned that I may have an arrhythmia (had an EKG done in the past for the same reason, but was told it was because of my exercise habits at the time ~4 years ago) and having an arrhythmia will limit the mental health medication I am able to take
Overall, not a bad day whatsoever! I was in a really good mood all day because of how awesome everything was and I'm super grateful that I was able to have such a good day!
