Alciopid polychaetes have large, complex eyes with corneas, irises, lenses, and other structures that give them excellent vision. These wondrous worms are related to the earthworms we find in our backyards, and in many respects, they are fairly similar—both have a segmented body and bristles on each segment. ⁠The midwater version, however, is completely transparent. 👀
