Announcing Stony Loves Steve

To celebrate Steve’s birthday, July 4th, we created Stony Loves Steve, a Steve/Tony gift exchange where participants create and receive Steve-centric fanworks.

There are lots of wonderful creations based on Tony, which is understandable, Steve loves focusing on Tony too, but, for this exchange, we’re choosing to focus on Steve instead! We hope to see more works exploring his side of his relationship with Tony across the Marvel multiverse, whether that relationship is slash or friendship.

This is so right I must reblog it.

sarah rogers was the most influential person in steve’s life. she was a single mother who raised a chronically ill son in the 1920s and supported them on her own. who do you think held steve as he cried, a frail boy bullied relentlessly, and told him he would always be better than bullies if he was kind? who taught him your body didn’t matter? that its what’s inside that counts? to stand up for what’s right, even if you’re the only one standing? taught him his tolerance, his respect for women, his manners? she did. it’s an absolute injustice that we haven’t Once seen her on screen, not even steve visiting her grave.

Uh, I'm so envious of people who know what they want from life. She is so young and already so sure of herself. And here I am who is supposed to be a grown up woman well on the way to her 30s and I actually have no clue. People like her are an inspiration

Now at the age of 13, she had already: Attended Space Camp 7 times, Space Academy 3 times and Robotics Academy 1 time. Became the first person to complete all the NASA Space Camps in the world, including Space Camp Turkey and Space Camp Canada. Witness 3 Space Shuttle launches. Attend Sally Ride Camp at MIT, and three Sally Ride Day camps. Speak several foreign languages: Spanish, French, Chinese and some Turkish. She also delivers motivational speeches to other children.

She is determined to be the first person to land on Mars & NASA is already training her.

i fucking love steve rogers and nothing any of you say will change that. i love him w/ my entire being and i’ll protect him at all costs bc he’s a genuinely good person who looks out for people and doesn’t just cater to governments who he knows are 99% of the time never looking out for the people. he hates bullies and he literally has the super soldier serum bc he’s a genuinely nice, kindhearted person who watches out for others no matter the risk to himself. mcu steve rogers is a kind man with a heart of gold who’s fiercely protective of his friends when they’re threatened. idc what any of you have to say!!!!!! talk all the shit you want about him but that doesn’t change anything about who he is and i love him

So, today, Marvel published issues of comics revealing that in fact the Nazis were always supposed to win World War 2, and the Allies invented the Cosmic Cube to rewrite history to prevent that from happening. 

That was released today. April 19th.

The anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, the largest Jewish revolt during World War 2, the first urban uprising in Nazi-occupied Europe, begun when the Nazis decided to completely wipe out the Warsaw Jews on Passover eve. Instead, the Jews held out for nearly a month, with whatever they could fight with. They’re honored to this day. 

And Marvel published their Nazi-stanning dumpster fire of a retcon today.
