Seems a lot of focus on greif and cultures and think a movie that might focus more on the rivalry of nations instead of chasing ”another glowing MacGuffin” could be good and say something important . Were originally planning to just redraw an old basic post, the two of them jumping over a rooftop but felt… nah. I’m not satisfied with my Miraculous-work. I need to do something big, something detailed, something filled with love and wow and oof. And I had done like posters and phone-backgrounds before but never given Miraculous a real character-filled wallpaper before like Spider-Man, Star Wars or Justice League so here! Probably my most claustrophobic wallpaper yet but actually losing to both Spider-Man 2 and Life is Strange with just 15 characters compared to their 16! But this is filled with full body-drawings, fully drawn, zero traced faces or anything and took like a week to make thanks to also working now, so the longest project to date! You’re welcome!

I wanted something to represent the whole Agreste-Saga and had a ton of different ideas and sketches to pick from. There was the book, the rings, the wall between them, all the supportive casts including drama, rivals, a mysterious cousin, 5 whole seasons of stories but I think I managed to mush it all down to one final product!

I love Fantastic Four, my favourite comics, my favourite team; never had a bad time reading Fantastic Four-issues. Okay, sometimes but less than others. And Reed is my favourite member. I find him super-interesting. He got this unmatched talent to just hyperfixate, obsess on problems and to deep-dive into anything that he comes across. He has this natural curiosity and genuine interest in everything and wants to learn as much as possible and I have kind of the same and he inspires me to lean in on that.

And I love how this fixation and obsessive behaviour can be interpreted as self-absorbed or cold but also having a foundation in care and shame and a need to take care of his family.

And that’s also an important aspect of him, the guilt of the first space-travel and destroying the four’s lives. So everything that he does that doesn’t revolve around his natural intellect and the responsibility of that, is around his family and giving them the best possible lives with their… unique situations.

And yeah, he can be cold, he can be stubborn and he has walls and not ashamed of who he is and what he can do and can without a doubt make the worst choices but he’s still deep down a good man and doing what he does for the safety of his family.

And I just love seeing this in media, this keyhole-view on things, this ultra-everness yet complete oblivion to his surroundings and lack of understanding of others and their emotions, not that he doesn’t care, he just didn’t think that far or understood as much in those particular topics.

And I can’t wait to see what Daddy Pascal will do with this character.

Kind of had a moment when I didn't know what to do so I asked my sister. And being the one that introduced me to Miraculous, she wanted me to do something Miraculous so I finally finished the last two of this old series.
