Fanfiction is also treated like a big joke and some people don't really consider it "real writing". So whenever I tell people that reading is my hobby and then they ask me what's my favorite literature piece, I just say it's Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen but it's actually a very long narumitsu angst fanfic i randomly found on ao3...

I have read fanfics that have left me in tears, both happy and sad, had me laughing my ass off, wanting to scream. Fanfics might be seen as weird and taboo (weirdly enough) but no one can say that some fics aren’t so well written it feels like you’re reading a best selling book!

if you're trying to get into the head of your story's antagonist, try writing an "Am I the Asshole" reddit post from their perspective, explaining their problems and their plans for solving them. Let the voice and logic come through.
