If you ask me how many years ago 2020 was, I’ll say four.

However.

If you ask me how many years ago 2015 was, I’d say five.

If you ask me how many years ago 2016 was, I’d say five.

If you ask me how many years ago 2017 was, I’d say five.

This also applies to 2018–2021. They were all five years ago. There is no contest. They were all just five years ago. This also applies to 2009–2014. Also five years ago. No I do not know why I think this.

Anyways, I thought of this because I saw the date on a fic that was published in 2017, and thought, oh that’s pretty recent, only five years ago. Then I thought about it and was like, no, it’s been seven years. Almost eight.

So anyway 2009–2021 (excluding 2020) was all five years ago, sue me.

As the self proclaimed biggest fan of Astrophilia (yes I am do not take this away from me Astrophilia is the bomb and deserves all the love in the world) I would like to spiritually reblog this a hundred times and just say that I am not even 30% of the way through Stardust but I. I am shook. I resonate. I am existing on a higher plane. I am in space with these guys (hopefully not for long). I am l i t e r a l l y vibrating in excitement because I have loved Astrophilia 163 days and I will for the rest of my life and this. This is. Yes. Yes. Yes.

Anyways this has been a PSA to read Stardust and Astrophilia because they slap so hard I got transported to their future and lived through this with them. I’m not sure if they survive I didn’t even read the tags. I think they do. They better.

Some months ago I wrote and posted "Astrophilia," a fic that, while not my most popular, inspired a unique emotion in my readers in which multiple people started headcanoning a future in which everything was okay, arguing against the finality of the Captains' fate... And I figured, you know, if these strangers felt so strongly that this was not how this story would end, well... Their boyfriends left behind on earth certainly wouldnt have let it be, either.

Dedicated to everyone who commented telling me they hoped there would be a way to get them home in the future: "Stardust."

I also had a question for you about you’re MayDaisy Universe, about pre-canon (could also be applicable during canon), if you’re be willing to answer.

What happens when May has nightmares? Does she go to Skye?

(I just woke up)

When May has nightmares, it’s not obvious or loud. She doesn’t thrash or scream or bolt up drenched in sweat. She’ll sleep through the whole thing and just wake like she usually does, because her nightmares are calm, and she knows that she’s trapped. She knows that she can’t escape the nightmare, so she simply waits them out.

She doesn’t go to Skye. However, Skye learns to find her. In the morning after, Skye knows. Even if May doesn’t tell her (which she usually doesn’t), Skye knows. When Skye gets older, when she’s Daisy, they don’t find each other in their bunks. But they do find each other in the kitchen. After Coulson dies, they’re there almost every night. They like to make his famous hot chocolate together, even if they don’t get it quite right.

They like to find solace with one another. That never changes.
