Sora saved Ventus life, linked their hearts, let him stay and heal and Ventus spent ten years being with Sora while he grew, played, fought and laughed and suffered and loved.

Whether he was concious or not (which apparently he wasnt but their hearts were literally linked come ON) You cannot tell me that Ventus does not feel incomprehensible amounts of fondness for Sora. You cannot tell me that Ventus wouldn't throat punch God themselves to ensure he's okay. That's his boy. That's his little guy.
