Lily went on and on for months to Mary and Marlene about how Pandora's hair always looked great, it was always styled perfectly in the cutest ways. One day she finally told Pandora that she loved her hair and asked how she manages it. She was shocked to find out Regulus has been doing it for her.

Pandora kept complaining about hating doing her hair ever since Regulus met her on their first day, so he started learning how to style it for her. Ever since then Pandora would come up to his dorm in the mornings so Regulus could do her hair. Regulus died thinking his brother had always hated him, thinking he'd happily abandoned him without a second thought. He knew Sirius thought he was an evil death eater and a murderer but he wished he could know the truth.

Walburga didn't know anything about Regulus being trans until he came home with short hair at Christmas his first year at hogwarts. He got on the train as her daughter and got off it as her son. He cut his hair the second he was on that train and borrowed trousers from Sirius. Obviously Walburga wasn't happy but everyone already knew Regulus was a guy now so she had to play along with it. She never called him Regulus though, she never called him her son, to Walburga he was just trying to defy her.

Evan was the first one to find out Regulus was trans (apart from Sirius) because he accidentally walked in on him changing.

After Sirius left Grimmauld place got so much worse for Regulus. The only person he had now was Kreacher but even then he was gone half the time. Regulus was supposed to be the perfect child but they didn't see him as that. He had to pay the price for Sirius' actions. If they heard Sirius did something wrong Regulus would be punished to teach him what not to do.
