any tips for shifters who don’t think they have aphantasia but can’t visually comfortably?
i feel like the way i’d go about it is immediately trying to go back to sleep LOL but just for enough time to collect themselves and then start affirming etc and “waking up”
u could also use this as practice then youll naturally be like that???
How do people train themselves to think about their DRs when they first wake up? As soon as I wake up it's like my brain's been wiped because I can't remember any plans I had from before I fell asleep

hey guys :) i’m new to the shifting community on tumblr so i thought i’d make a post introducing my journey and i
my name is reena, i’m 19 and from canada! so i’ve been in multiple shifting communities and apps since 2018 (even owned my very own discord server at one point) and i’ve been getting nowhere.
i am pretty sure i have paranoia issues, a procrastination problem and i doubt everything so much like probably every single thought i have and sometimes even things unrelated to shifting.
also i have this thing, which i assume is a common issue, is that everything needs to be perfect before i shift. my script needs to be perfect, i can’t have work/school/anything important in the morning because i usually make an attempt at night because my family is nosey and loud. so in case i fall asleep i make sure to do them before bed.
i’m also very anxious with little things like what if i fall asleep with my headphones on, meditation/spotify is on while i’m asleep or my phones on charge or that i can hear someone like my mom down the hall and she’ll come in. these sort of things make me stop in the middle of methods to get up and check or open my eyes or move around and do something.
it’s probably so stupid because i know people say don’t believe you’re the one person that can’t shift or won’t be able to experience anything remotely similar like lucid dreaming, astral projection or even a manifestation coming true because nothing like that has ever happened to me and i genuinely feel like it isn’t for me.
i’ve been through so many methods, scripts, drs, sources, and breaks. i’ve even taken months off of shifting before trying again and nothing has helped. i always get this sort of (i don’t know if this word fits) false hope when i get motivated to shift again and this cycle has just been repeating so many times over the years.
yeah i know there’s probably just one fix for this but as someone who has been trying for years and tweaking so many things, i seriously am SO STUMPED!!!!
please comment and let me know if you guys can give a girl some advice and try to brainstorm with me :D
my best tip when it comes to shifting successfully?
let yourself feel EVERYTHING. do not rush it. I repeat— DO NOT RUSH IT!!! if you get lost in a daydream about the dr, who cares? feel that FULLY, EXPLORE IT!! then ask okay, what next? experience your dr (whether you’re going through your memories, schedule, or thoughts) HERE. in the NOW. get so into the visualization you aren’t even thinking about what comes next until it’s over! get lost in the feeling of being present and there. and FORGET about the outcome! the outcome doesn’t matter. success or failure does not matter! all that matters is that feeling. that feeling, that connection is what’s going to make shifting EFFORTLESS for you. you don’t have to finish before sleeping. you don’t have to rush through the process because you’re tired. if you fall asleep, you fall asleep. as long as you set a CLEAR intention beforehand (by focusing on exactly what you wish to achieve) you’re set. YOU’VE shifted. trust that.
i feel like when i shift and want to shift bacj to my cr im just gonna shoft to a slightly tweaked desired one without a script on the spot ykwimmm

How to shift: EMBODY YOUR DR SELF!! ☀️
Fuck the five senses
Most of us always focus on the process of shifting, the symptoms, the 5 senses, overanalyze our process and being very critical of ourselves, we try to analyze why we don't shift, giving ourselves excuses and explanations Saying "I didn't do enough", "I should have tried harder" I wish you guys to STOP THAT.
Actually, none of the above matters. The reason you think the methods, meditation, etc matters it's because of your assumptions and beliefs because you didn't get there and you think "you're doing something wrong" and you ARE NOT, leave that mentality behind and stop seeing shifting as a task or obligation, as something with steps that must be followed to the letter.
Stop and get back to BASICS, When you are trying to get to your DR, stop thinking and focus on "I have to get there" just think that YOU ARE THERE, think ABOUT YOU, about your dr self, who are you in your dr? This is why it is very important that you like your dr's self, and not just an "improved 2.0 me, now with ultra-powered engines" because it just makes you feel uncomfortable, and you need to feel comfortable with being your dr self, You must like being yourself, you must know yourself, dive into your brain and connect with your dr self and with who you're there.
And when you connect with who you are there, forget about everything else, forget how many breaths you have to take, what number you are on, or if you visualize enough, just connect with you, with who you are. By connecting with your 5 senses and with the environment, you are not traveling, I mean this is okay but when you're trying to shift, the shift it's in the mindset, not in the around, it happens in your subconscious, it happens when you become that person, you are becoming your dr self not your environment, WHO ARE YOU? Connect with that person. Start with "Who am I?" "What am I doing here?" "What is my name?" Until it becomes a natural flow, connect with your thoughts until it becomes a natural flow. You did it, you've shifted, when you are fully connected to your dr self and you no longer need to think like your dr self thinks, you are there, and nothing else matters, fuck if "your environment tells you otherwise", It doesn't matter what you see, hear or feel anymore, you are in your dr and you are your dr's person. You know that you're there because of your mindset, enjoy that because that is shifting, that is change, YOU HAVE TO CHANGE, this is manifesting, and manifestation happens instantly when you change your mindset.
The process of shifting doesn't have to take a long time, it doesn't have to take years, the only reason it takes you so long is because you see it as homework. Get out of that mindset, connect with yourself, change your mindset, delate everything else, stop making everything so difficult. "I didn't shift last night because-" STOP, there's no reason you haven't shifted. We shift in every decision we make, when you go to bed YOU HAVE ALREADY SHIFTED, but you are not going to accept it and you MUST accept it.
You should try to connect with your dr self instead of using the five senses or connecting with your dr it's because:
1. It's a bit backwards to try to connect with your surroundings instead of yourself. As I said before, you are not shifting to be your environment, you are shifting to be you, to be your dr self. (Although I'm not saying that using all 5 senses is a bad thing, but you shouldn't focus only on that)
2. Embodying your dr self bypasses all the extra shit about you just lying in your bed trying to shift. The moment you connect with your dr's self, you have already shifted, because if you were not in your dr you would not be able to access the thoughts of your dr self. And when you are focused on this, you are no longer focused on the symptoms and that is the best thing that can happen to you because YOU SHOULDN'T FOCUS ON THE SYMPTOMS because it's not a physical process, physical change comes after the change of mentality. Connecting with your dr self's thoughts is much better than memorizing affirmations and meditating, it's more natural, you enjoy it more and it's less tiring.
3. In the case that your physical environment does not end up changing, you end up connecting with your dr self (THAT IS SO IMPORTANT) you alredy had the mindset shift. And many people when they start doing all this, they start having dreams about themselves being their dr self, and having experiences in their dreams being their dr self, and that is SO GOOD (it's literally happening to me) Taking this post into account, I assure you that YOU WILL SEE CHANGES YES OR YES this is a connecting point.

how can you even go back to living in your original reality when you could be living your best life??
no because i swear i partial shifted to my dr half awake this morning i felt every sense and even saw a little then my alarm woke me up
5 types of shifting in my eyes…
this isn’t to overcomplicate, just to show you my experiences and also perhaps motivate you because you might’ve experienced these too! video form of this post here…
shifting — just fully conscious, grounded, all senses engaged, just like life here, has control over when returning from a shift
mini shifting — getting to your dr but not fully grounded which could affect the length of time you’re aware of the reality, unable to control when shifting back
partial shifting — when all your senses but one are in your dr, very trippy, i’ve experienced this both awake and while my CR body was in REM cycle
split or co-conscious shifting — when at least two senses each are separated into two realities making for a pretty trippy experience where you’re tapped into different sensations, sounds, and smells from both realities at once, i’ve only ever experienced this while awake
blackout shifting — when you have the intense feeling that you did shift but have no conscious recollection of it, sometimes due to the fact you were sleeping in your dr
each case is valid and each case is a success in my eyes! this is ofc just my opinion on shifting but i don’t feel like we should limit our experiences to just “shifted or didn’t shift” when there can be multiple stages in between.
so i’ve been wanting to make a brooklyn 99 dr for some time now but i’m trying to prioritize my fairytail dr until i shift.
because of this y time i try to shift or think pf my dr i only think of the brooklyn 99 dr script i could make and how i could shift there but i don’t wanna until i get to my fairytail dr
so i am stumped… like i know you can shift no matter what but—
no one knows REAL yearning than shifters i fear...
