For some reason, I'm impressed to see how widely the ages of Tumblr users vary, but it's awesome! And this advice is probably all excellent (I can't really say anything because I haven't even graduated school yet) so yeah
I turn 30 next month so here’s what I learned in my 20s:
—don’t work for startups, they’re always one ‘innovative idea’ away adding ‘sell your kidneys on the black market’ to your job description.
—keeping a collection of basic OTC medicine on you will save your life one day. I recommend Advil, Imodium, and TUMS.
—those little single-use glasses cleaning wipes are 1000% worth the money
—overly self-depreciating jokes just make people uncomfortable, wean yourself off of them
—you can buy dehydrated mini marshmallows in bulk online and they’re a godsend for hot cocoa
—people don’t care if you have fidget toys on your desk they just want to play with them
—try to go to bed BEFORE the existential ennui kicks in

This goes for cats too by the way. Just because cats supposedly can't feel the back of their neck doesn't mean picking them up by the scruff is safe (mostly with adult cats because they're a lot heavier than kittens, so more strain is put on their neck if you pick them up by the scruff)
Also don't pick up a cat by the sides, that strains their arms and it (probably) hurts. Just because cats are stretchy and bendy doesn't mean they don't feel pain!!
Although I would probably put my hand across the thighs/butt to transfer the cat to a more sitting position (if that makes sense) because putting your hand between the legs is a bit uncomfortable
