Floating Trees

Many of C418’s tracks have a dreamy quality, which resonates deeply with me since I love that style. 'Floating Trees', in particular, feels like a glimpse of the Overworld just before it glitches and breaks into the End.

quick studies of hergé’s style for tintin! the last two images is me breaking down how he draws nature in his backgrounds, and me attempting a sketch (in his style) of the view outside the cafe i was at! (the buildings were rushed so ignore that LOL)

i have been really enamoured by his artwork ever since i was a kid, and even over a decade later, im still just as (or even more-so) fascinated by it.

his linework and form is impeccable but he still somehow nails this sweet spot of refinement and realism with really fun stylisation, expressiveness and flow. he was a master at his craft and i just AHHH. i wish i could go more into detail and analyse more of how he draws people especially, we’ll see if i do more of these!
