I saw a post on here about the whole "Curly talking with those dog buttons" situation, but the reblogs and comments were off, so I have to make my own post to express my thoughts on it
I saw a few seconds of that video, and just that was enough to make me feel rather uncomfortable. My first thought was, wouldn't that be painful? Forcing this man with *literally no skin* to lean forward and smack one of those plastic buttons with his stubs because he has no hands? (seriously. those buttons can be a little tough, you have to put pressure, you can't just tap on them)
aside from the logistics of it, it seems the mouthwashing fandom forgets Curly is still a man. A grown adult, with a fully functioning mind and sense of self..I can only imagine how dehumanizing it would be, to be forced to sit on the floor and use buttons made for *dogs* while already being in possibly the worst situation someone could be in.
the people acting like it's cute or funny are a huge part of this problem - acting like the suffering of a severely injured and extremely disabled quadruple amputee is something funny or silly or quirky. even myself with my developmental disabilities would be absolutely disgusted and ashamed if someone saw me struggling with a meltdown or something and treating it like some cute moment. Yes, Curly is fictional , but treating him like no more than a silly gore mascot really says a lot about how some of you guys feel about real disabled people.

It's always a bit weird to me when people interpret Flint as being an inherently horrible person and irredeemably terrible father, because I think a lot of his appeal is that he truly is a loving father and husband who only wants the best for his family… Yet still he fails them again and again because of his personal, very human failures (and almost complete lack of support from others). Neglecting Lucas, leaving him to grieve and fend off to himself for years while the town ostracized him and the pigmasks targeted him was horrible behavior, his worst mistake and definitely had terrible and lasting consequences on his son's life. But it's not like he did it because he's an asshole or doesn't care about him, he has just so completely thrown himself into trying to get his lost son back, to try and save what remains of his family, that he's lost himself and ends up paradoxically failing his only remaining family member. He tries his best, it's just that his best is often not enough, and he has barely any support system to rely on. And even so, for how much he fails, at the very end he still manages to find the strength to be there for Lucas, when he tries to support him after Claus death and to encourage him to pull the needle.. despite the moment being possibly the worst yet for him too.
woah weird robot kid
I haven't done a full illustration like this in so long, so this was a lot of fun!
Listen Kunikida would be absolutely terrifying as a criminal.
He wouldn't follow the law but his own ideals and only his rules. And those rules would be strict, everyone in the organisation would be held to a high standard.
You break them, you're done.
He wouldn't even need to kill people. He'd know every law in the country, and how to exploit every loophole and technicality.
Also unless outright stated (and your not a genius) it would be pretty difficult to realise that he can only make small items with his ability.
It would seem like Kunikida could bring anything to life. He's terrifying strong, and that's not due to any kind of ability.
Also good luck to anyone who hurts his people, he'll fuck you up.
Paperwork is filed on time, his subordinates are treated well and Kunikida would focus his organisations efforts on the aiding and the protection of citizens.
To getting rid of corrupt figures, providing safe places and protection for the most vulnerable in society.
Because those are Kunikida's ideals, and a trivial thing like the law isn't going to stop him.
