So you guys I thought I had posted this weeks ago but apparently I didn't soooooo here is this thing

This was an artfight attack that I did on @meadow-roses character Alisdair (from a collab story) meeting my character Alistair (I thought it would be funny for them to meet because of their name similarities), and Ellie is in the background:0 (a character from @masterfuldoodler but the same story, if thats how it works lol) (although I feel like she doesn't look quite right) But I didn't realize when artfight was ending so it was too late to post it lol.

It was really fun to draw though! I love your characters

Also I wasn't sure how protective Alisdair would be of his sword and this is what pose came to mind sooo Alistair is admiring it (hope thats ok) ...But I kinda think they'd get along well and pretty quickly

Umbra 🛡️

Oooo good one. Well, she is very guarded, especially with her mind. She feels like if anyone knew what was in her head, they'd look at her as a monster (and a recent villainous role in a play made her wonder if the weeks of being immersed in the role would push her to become like the character). But she goes on the offense when someone talks about it. And her mind is overshadowed by so many things. Here are a few little snippets where this is showed

“Umbra, I know what you fear.” Umbra’s expression darkened. “But listen to my words, for we have little and waning time.” She stood still as a monument, her eyes avoiding his. “You fear what effect this role, this woman, may have upon you.” He knows. Umbra was in shock and she felt a tear on her face from realizing the sheer awfulness this thought seemed to carry. Out on the stage, she heard the lines close to her queue

She grew angry with him, and whipped around to meet his desperate gaze with her cold, dark, blue eyes. The fierceness seen there made Alistair falter. He glanced at his hand gripped around her arm, then quickly released his hold and stepped back. Umbra did not speak, but in response to his plea only drew back the curtain staunchly, and walked out onto the stage, letting her role sink into her, to spite Alistair. But also, to her, to show that he was wrong about what he said was in her mind. She felt the eager eyes of the large crowd upon her, and she relished it.

And yeah this is at the beginning and she makes some mistakes (for a reason). She has much to learn

Well you made the right choice

Don't you hate it when you change something in your story, but then your siblings tell you how much they loved that thing but they never told you that before, so now you're rethinking everything but you are now attached to your current idea but the other one is starting to sound great too because they keep telling how awesome it would have been, so now you can't decide whether to keep it how it is or change it back?

who i would let borrow my car in lord of the rings:

boromir- would likely take it to a car wash and fill up the tank for me afterwards. no questions asked and the keys are in his hand before he finishes his sentence.

gimli- would change my tires for me. a bit worried about him off roading but he’d take care of it. it’s extremely likely that he also took it through the car wash but not out of politeness but because he got it caked with dirt and mud while driving.

elrond- i’m willing to bet my life on this man being a reliable driver. he could get negative traffic tickets- as in, the cops pull him over just to tell him how good of a three point turn that was. this man is married to the turn signals.

sam- there might be dirt and dog hair left over for weeks but yeah i’d trust him. he probably just needs the trunk space for a dresser he found on the side of the road.

who in lord of the rings i do not trust with my car:

gollum- yeah obviously he’d drive it into the swamp in .2 seconds. this little fucker does not follow road laws or any laws. the second gollum takes my car i know its over.

gandalf- i do not know how one sends an automotive on a quest but im pretty sure my car is in moria rn and i’m never seeing it again

legolas- has the biggest passenger princess energy i’ve ever seen. would total my car immediately after going diagonal across the highway because he saw a cool tree

thranduil- like father like son. passenger princess who has not been behind the wheel for decades. would guilt trip me into giving him a ride before even asking to borrow my car. gets pulled over for having a whole ass wine bottle in the cupholder.

pippin- there would be peanut butter stuck in the console for months and i’d be finding loose snacks and trinkets in my seats years afterwards. also strikes me as the type to be obsessed with the radio to the point of reckless driving
