can we talk about the fact that liam literally tells theo that he SAVED him during that locker room scene?
dude's just standing there smirking, asks if he's really going to kill gabe, starts listing out what they're (cough, together apparently, cough) going to have to do to hide the body and all.
and we can't even forget the fact that theo says "i dont care if you do" / "i don't care" multiple times. like, he's acting all nonchalant and bored the whole scene. but somehow liam still knows EXACTLY what hes doing. because even though theo is saying he doesnt care, liam knows that hes doing this to calm HIM down.
because why else would he ask theo "why do you keep saving me?" like liam was fully aware that theo was literally anchoring him from his rage. he let it happen. he literally LET it happen.
theo's little smile this whole scene REALLY ties it all in because he's saying it doesnt matter, but he is literally only doing this to stop liam because he knows liam will regret it. he's stopping liam, because he knows liam will LISTEN to him.
and the reason this makes me so feral is that theo never once did anything that could be necessarily implied as saving liam. he didnt tell him to stop, he didnt try and convince him otherwise- he didnt do anything other than just ask if he could help and remind liam of the consequences. because he knew thats what liam NEEDED.
and liam knew he needed that too- that in his own fucked up way, theo was HELPING him- like holy shit?? they just know each other this well.
it just. guys when i first saw this scene i was in shock because all theo did was list what liam would need to kill gabe. but the MOMENT liam drops gabe he turns around and asks why theo's saving him. and when i was watching it, it didnt even cross my mind that theo was "SAVING" him again- i just thought theo was trying to get it over with or be the brat he is (affectionately).
for liam to not only know that theo was doing it for him, but to be so confident in the fact that theo was doing all of this to help him- so confident that he immediately confronts him about it- like. they know each other on a level i cant even fathom. theo knows what makes liam tic, knows how to stop him- and liam knows that theo knows him so well and LETS theo get to him.
he trusts theo enough to listen to him when he's angry. he trusts theo just enough to anchor himself.
theyre fucking insane actually

Season 4 in a nutshell
I dont know which is funnier, Liam Dunbar looking at Theo Raeken, known murderer who hurt and minupulated him and everyone he cared about and thinking "I could fix him" or Theo Raeken, known murder who's lack of morality has led him to commit unspeakable crimes, looking at Liam Dunbar, a good kid with anger issues which he has exploited in the past, and thinking "I'm gonna fix him"
