Hi proship darkshippers who struggle with moral OCD, just wanted to remind you that your fictional ships and interests do NOT make you a bad person what-so-ever. You are still a good person and the fact you don't go out of your way to harass people over their own fictional interests, the fact you don't wish harm on real people, is just one of many reasons why you ARE in fact a good person! It's okay to like dark media, it's okay to want to explore said media through art and writing and etc, your interest in these fictional ideas does not reflect your morals in real life situations. Repeat after me: You aren't harming anyone, you are not hurting any real, living person, by being interested in dark media. It's okay, you're okay, I promise. <3

I've seen too many posts recently so I just wanted to say this as a proshipper:

NO. IT IS NOT OKAY TO HARASS ANTISHIPPERS.

You cannot call yourself "anti-harassment" and turn around and harass antishippers. I don't care how utterly ridiculous or disgusting they're being. You block, report what is reportable, and move on.

I'm not talking about leaving a thoughtful indepth comment about your stance on shipping or explaining what proship actually means. I'm talking about the people who will send death threats to some antis, the people who say it's "alright to call them slurs" (no??? It's not??? Babe that is the exact justification antis use about harassing you!), and the people who claim that it's "just natural".

You don't get to do what the "bad people" do just because you're a part of the "good group". You can call yourself anti-harassment all you want, but if you're harassing others, you're just an anti. You're doing the same shit they do just to different people. Revenge and punching back feels nice, but an eye for an eye will make the world go blind. Be the mature one. That's what being proship is about. It's not about "oooo I ship something dark-" no, it's about gritting your teeth and hitting the block button when a conversation turns sour. It's about sighing and moving on when one of your moots vague posts about you. It's about finding peace from not putting your brain in other people's bedrooms.

Being proship is "anti-censorship", "anti-harassment", sals, and dldr. Not "you're the opposite! Let me harass you."

First of all, for those of you who didn't know, I don't ship anything besides mine and others selfships, I am just absolutely for every ship existing and being supported. Second of all any dark fictional concepts I enjoy is a reflection of my OWN trauma in some way or another and it helps me process and cope, though darkshipping is still valid even if it isn't for the sake of coping. Third of all I'm not attracted to real people like at all so getting with a man or anyone IRL is highly unlikely. Fourth of all trauma can't be gatekept, when people enjoy fictional darkships or dark scenarios I can assure you they more than likely are not sitting here like 'oh yeah this is this one persons trauma, I will incorporate it into a ship for the sole purpose of romanticizing this said persons trauma' like that just doesn't happen. Either they're coping with their OWN trauma or just find it interesting to explore in fiction. Fifth of all it's absolutely okay to hate or dislike me but interacting with me at all is breaking your own boundaries, boundaries have to be fulfilled by both parties and if you break your own boundary that isn't my fault. Sixth of all this sounds quite personal and emotional so I hope you have a good day and learn to respect your own boundaries so you don't cause yourself and anyone else any unnecessary distress.
