I have a work event today, but the academics don't stop. Learning isn't just about absorbing content, but learning what works for you, different academic styles, and how these things work off paper. For instance, some things work better when I teach them to a friend, others when I try a practice project, and others when I draw it out. I'm testing different methods of learning with the content that I'm noticing I'm pushing off, which keeps appearing in my to-do lists day after day.
To-do list:
πͺΆLatin level 2 πͺΆType out my handwritten notes πͺΆData course 4.1 πͺΆData course 4.2 πͺΆFinish that last 10% of my slot machine project πͺΆStart the weather API project/watch a tutorial πͺΆLearn binary search πͺΆPrint photos πͺΆCreate my friends birthday card
What I got done: πData course 4.1 πData course 4.2 πTyped out half my notes πBinary search
Diverse eLearning content is the key to effective training. It caters to various learning styles β visual, auditory, and kinesthetic β keeping learners engaged and boosting retention. Studies consistently show that multiple content formats outperform single-format approaches in knowledge retention, such as this study from 2021 which highlights the use of various content formats in eLearningβ¦
Hi, all!
Currently at the library trying to catch up on some ochem and physics studying. Spent yesterday doing the finishing touches on my English essays. Friday, I worked my second job, and oh my god. It was quite literally the worst day on a job I've ever ever had. Is it just me or does it seem like people are becoming way more comfortable being cruel for no reason? Fortunately, I'm not the type to bite my tongue, so I did not allow what happened to go uncalled out. I don't understand this attitude people have where being mean to people making 80 bucks a day is somehow funny??? Grow up! Ugh.
Anyway, the good news is, if things keep looking good for me, a car may be in my near future. Just have to work out a few issues, but it's looking very plausible for the new year! It would be such a great help, considering right now I'm a bus girl. I don't mind it, tbh. I'll probably still use the bus once I have a car, regularly, but I definitely need the car for internships and such. Right now, my mom has to pretty much drive me everywhere that I need, so it's really inconvenient for her as well.
Okok. Back to work!
Hope everyoe is having a good weekend!
Thanks for reading!

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to an increased demand for single-use masks, putting pressure on global plastic waste problems.
A single face mask can release as many as 173,000 microfibers per day into the seas. According to a 2020 report by an environmental group OceansAsia, about 1.56 billion face masks entered oceans globally in 2020.
Face masks are made from combination of several types of plastic. There are several layers of plastic in one mask, primarily polypropylene, which are not easily decomposed and will remain in the environment for decades. It could take centuries for them to turn into smaller and smaller microplastics and nanoplastics.
As the mask wastes may contribute to plastic pollution, it may also accumulate and release harmful chemical and biological substances such as bisphenol A (BPA), which may have a carcinogenic effect, as well as heavy metals and disease-causing microbes. This is becoming a significant problem, particularly in countries with poor waste management. The race to find a sustainable solution for public health safety measures is urgent to reduce the global plastic problem.
