What You Need To Know About DACA, Right Now.

What you need to know about DACA, right now.

On September 5th, 2017, U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions, on behalf of the Trump Administration, announced an end to the DACA Program.

1. Your DACA is valid until its expiration date.

2. No New DACA applications will be accepted.

3. DACA Issuance’s and work permits expiring between now and March 5, 2018 must be submitted for renewal by October 5th, 2017.

4. Advance parole to travel abroad is no longer available.

5. We are united in this fight.

You are not alone. We mobilized, organized, and marched five years ago for DACA, and we will continue to do everything in our power to protect immigrant youth and their families across the country. Visit weareheretostay.com for resources to help you and your loved ones take care of themselves in this difficult time as well as information on what you can do to take action now.

My year reading a book from every country in the world
Ann Morgan considered herself well read -- until she discovered the "massive blindspot" on her bookshelf. Amid a multitude of English and American authors, there were very few books from beyond the English-speaking world. So she set an ambitious goal: to read one book from every country in the world over the course of a year. Now she's urging other Anglophiles to read translated works so that publishers will work harder to bring foreign literary gems back to their shores. Explore interactive maps of her reading journey here: go.ted.com/readtheworld

Here Is A Picture Of J.R.R. Tolkien Looking At Some Flowers In A Greenhouse. Apparently, He Was The Worst

Here is a picture of J.R.R. Tolkien looking at some flowers in a greenhouse. Apparently, he was the worst person to take walks with because he liked to stop and observe every tree he passed very carefully. We can only assume that he did this because he was waiting for them all to reveal their true Ent nature and speak to him. Ents do speak slowly, after all. They were probably between words while he was watching.

16 LGBT+ Books by Transgender and Non-binary Black Authors

As with my LGBT+ List, I’m seeing a lot of the same books on my dash, so I spent a few hours researching some lesser-known books. These books fall across a variety of genres and age group.

This was a good response to the “80 books every man should read” that Esquire put out last year… Literary Hub was a new find by me on facebook and I’ve really enjoyed the articles I’ve read from them so far!!
