“No.” He grumbled, not looking up from his tablet.

“Come on, Dean. You loved it and you know it.”

“Ice cream and tattoos?” He looked up and you nodded with an innocent smile. “Last time you mentioned that combo, somebody almost died!”

“Well this time, I won’t let you have 5 spiked pumpkin pie flavors, or let you add your own extra ‘topping’“ You used hand quotes and shot him a glare.

He sat back in the chair, losing interest. “No.” You gave him a pout, and your best puppy dog eyes. “Ain’t gonna work, sweetheart. I grew up with him, remember.” He motioned to Sam across the table, nose in a book. “He invented that look.”

“I’ll let you choose my tattoo…” You sing songed, and his interest was peaked again.

“Anything I want?”

You nodded. “No complaints, and no covering it up. You can even blindfold me and pick where it goes.”

He mulled it over for a minute, but you knew you had him. “Done.”

“But.”

“Fuck..” He mumbled, slumping into the chair again.

“I get to chose yours.” He shot you a look. “Hey, have I ever gotten a bad tattoo?” You motioned to yourself.

“No.” He sighed. “Alright, get your damn shoes on.”

His hands came up to your shoulders, righting you back on your feet and holding you a bit away from him. “S-Sorry.” you muttered in embarrassment, bringing your books up to your chest to have some kind of a barrier between you and all of them, and then you rushed past them, tears stinging your eyes.

This Months Writing

Check it out, going out on the late night. Looking tight, feeling nice, it's a cock fight. I can tell I just know that it's going down tonight. At the door we don't wait cause we know them. At the bar, six shots, just beginning. That's when dickhead put his hands on me

“Right boys,” you smirked, leaning against the wall, cigarette hanging from your mouth, “you know the drill, first round is on me.”

This had been the tradition for the last couple of years since you became lieutenant commander, the day after deployment or a spin up you would all hit the Bulkhead to decompress.

You had seen many changes to the team over the years as you went up the ranks but you couldn’t imagine life without the boys standing in front of you, with goofy smiles on their faces.

These boys were your family, and they never treated you any differently, it was your first rule the day you became lieutenant commander. They had to treat you the same, the change in rank didn’t change anything outside of the ops.

“See you still have it,” Sonny winked, throwing his arm around your shoulder as you walked into the bulkhead. “Pretty sure you have Clay a run for his money on that hill.”

“Are you telling me you underestimated me Quinn?” You fake gasped. “How dare you, we all know I will always be a better sniper than Blondie.”

“I’ll drink to that.” Both Clay and Sonny shouted, squashing you in a bear hug.

“You two will drink to everything.” You laughed, as a round of shots was placed in front of you. “Cheers guys! Here’s to another successful mission and us all coming home in one piece.”

A few hours had passed and you were leaning against the bar, waiting for another tray of shots and beers, when you felt someone press up against you. You knew it wasn’t one of your boys, the smell of the aftershave was different and smelt like toilet water.

“Here we go again,” you muttered to yourself.

“What’s a pretty girl like you doing in a Navy bar like this?” The guy slurred in your ear. “You looking for a night with a Navy officer sweetheart.”

Oh he must have been new to the Navy not to know who you were. Over the years you had gained a reputation for being the most badass females in devgru.

“Look mate, I'm not here for your entertainment,” you snapped, “You don't really want to mess with me tonight.”

“Oh you are a feisty one,” the dude chuckled, “good job I love the feisty ones.”

“Right okay, just stop and take a second, I was fine before you walked into my life. Cause you know it's over before it began.” You snarled, balling your fists up on the bar.

“Come on sweetheart, let me buy you a drink and let’s see where the night goes.” He slurred, squeezing your hips.

“Look, keep your drink, just give me the money because it’s just you and your hand tonight.” You growled, landing an elbow to the guys ribs, before taking the tray of drinks over to the table.

“Everything okay there?” Jason asked.

“Yeah nothing I can’t handle, don’t worry about me.” You nodded, knocking back the shots. “Apparently I can’t drink in peace without being hit on.”

Midnight, I'm drunk, I don't give a fuck. Wanna dance by myself, guess you're outta luck.

As the night went on the drunk guy from the bar still didn’t get the message and kept trying to hit on you.

Somehow you hand managed to get Clay and Sonny up dancing, it must have been the amount of booze you were all knocking back. As you were dancing you felt the random dude get all up in your space, making you roll your eyes.

“Damn you dance so sexy.” He growled in your ear.

“Don't touch, back up, I'm not the one.” You snapped, pushing him back. “Buh-bye”

“Oh come on baby, just let me show you how fun being with a Seal can be.” He shouted over the moving.

“Okay you fucker listen up, it's just not happening. You can say what you want to your boyfriends. Just let me have my fun tonight. A'ight?” You sneered.

I'm not here for your entertainment. You don't really want to mess with me tonight. Just stop and take a second. I was fine before you walked into my life. Cause you know it's over. Before it began. Keep your drink just give me the money. It's just you and your hand tonight. In the corner with your boys you bet up five bucks. To get at the girl that just walked in but she thinks you suck. We didn't get all dressed up just for you to see. So quit spilling your drinks on me yeah

“Seriously, that creep won’t leave me alone.” You sighed, taking your shot on the poor table. “Like isn’t it obvious I am not interested.”

“Just pull rank on him.” Brock smirked. “He will soon back up then.”

“Or it will just spur him on,” Metal nodded, “I mean can you imagine bedding a lieutenant commander, he will be bragging about it for years. But I say just throw him a right hook he will soon get the picture.”

“Oh god yeah,” Clay slurred, throwing his arm around your shoulder. “Even I know how lethal these fists are.”

“Well you shouldn’t have been acting like a dick when you first joined us as a strap, and maybe I wouldn’t have punched you,” you laughed, kissing the top of his head. “But you soon learned your lesson, didn't you poster boy.”

“I sure did,” Clay laughed. “So go show this creep just who he is messing with.”

“You got my six boys?” You asked even though you knew the answer.

“Stupid question,” Ray laughed, “Now go lay the fucker out.”

“Speak of the asshole,” you laughed, as you spotted the guy walking straight toward you.

“Final chance sweetheart,” the guy purred, “let’s get out of here and let me show you a good time.”

“You know you are high fivin', talkin' shit, but you're going home alone aren'tcha? 'Cause I'm not here for your entertainment. No you don't really want to mess with me tonight” you growled, balling your first up before connecting it with his face. “Oh and just a word of fucking warning, have a little bit more respect for your lieutenant commanders.”

You smirked as he clutched his bleeding nose, and his face paled.

“You’re a lieutenant commander?” He asked.

“Are you really that stupid?” You laughed, “you are telling me that you haven’t heard of me before.”

“I’m new, just going through the green team.” He stuttered, all confidence gone.

“Well then you should know who the fuck I am then!” You snapped, “I didn’t beat the records for nothing. Just a word of advice, don’t go around hitting of fucking women who tell you no.”

“So I’m guessing you're not coming home with me tonight then?” He asked.

“Are you thick?” You laughed, punching him again. “Do not make me command my team to turn you into a bloody mess. I have the most powerful group in devgru protecting my six so if you value your life and your career in the Navy get the fuck out of here.”

You didn’t need to look behind you to know that you had your boys standing protectively behind you, no doubt with their arms folded across their chests and an expression that would make you shit yourself. All watching as the guy ran out of the bulkhead.

“Fuck I need a drink after that.” You laughed. “Someone best get a drink in my hand in the next 10 seconds before one of you feels my right hook.” The moment the words left your lips you couldn’t help but laugh as you had the best and most powerful operators scrambling to the bar.

It was true what Blackburn had once said, you had them eating out of the palm of your hand.
