I have not met a single woman irl who plays Elden Ring, and it saddens me. I don’t know many women in general who are gamers. Hell, I’ve only met one other serious female gamer in my life

I’m NOT saying this as a pick me sort of thing. The beauty of streamers is that since we can see them online, it gives us the illusion that female gamers are everywhere. But we are not. We are in the vast minority.

So please, if you are a woman and play Elden Ring, reblog this! Female gamers unite, we need more representation!!

And can we appreciate the badass women of Elden Ring while we’re at it??? We couldn’t have made it through the game without the guidance of multiple women. And also THANK YOU FROMSOFT for not sexualizing any women in the game. I LOVE WOMEN RAHHHHH

I like replying to every comment I get to encourage readers to engage more in the future. I *want* to talk about my fic with people, especially people who like it or have questions about it. So if I have to do a little social manipulation to make a space that seems open and friendly enough for people to share their thoughts and questions with the knowledge that I'll respond, then I will.

i had a dungeon master once who was really into LoL and tried to convince people to play all the time

he was an asshole for other reasons but that was always a red flag to me, promoting league aggressively, lol

Kind of building off of Silvia Norton's post from a while back but if I read another line in a wormfic where an authority figure or like, actual serious adult individual mentions the "unwritten rules" as a hard concept that everyone just *knows* I am going to bash my face into a wall.

It's literally just how Tattletale described the social contract of capes to Taylor, it stops being "unwritten" or just a polite fiction when people like Piggot or Coil or whomever actually treat them as something tangible.

i use tumblr and ao3 quite often, and while they aren't in the same category of website really, one being social media platform while the other is an archive of internet fiction, using tumblr makes me appreciate ao3's lack of algorithm every day.

sometimes i'll zone out while using tumblr, staring at something on my desk or just getting lost in thought, but i had stopped scrolling on like, an nsfw post or whatever so now the hyperactive tumblr algo assumes that that is the only content i want to see so thats what my feed becomes. im very glad ao3 doesnt do this, i can ponder a fic and consider it heavily and when i scroll to look at the next one, it is not at all just recommending similar content to the one i happened to be staring at last.
