Do You Support Gender Non-conforming Men When They Don't Exist For Your Entertainment? When It Isn't

Do you support gender non-conforming men when they don't exist for your entertainment? When it isn't the shock-and-awe, punk "irony" of smeared lipstick and a beard, or the polished showmanship of drag? Do you support the GNC men whose femininity isn't a joke? Or do you feel on some level that men are only entitled to femininity if it's strictly a performance? Do you still expect feminine men to uphold traditional masculinity to be respected? Are you only allowing these men to exist as caricatures?

Do you support gender non-conforming women when they don't appeal to your aesthetics? When it isn't meticulously tailored suits and expensive haircuts? Do you support the GNC women who can't afford or don't want to be "dapper" or fashionable? Or do you feel on some level that women are only entitled to masculinity so long as they're still "making an effort"? Do you still expect masculine women to uphold traditional femininity to be respected? Do you still think women exist to be looked at?

Are you genuinely unlearning sexist rhetoric and dismantling gender expectations, or are you just enforcing it in ways you're unable to recognize because you've tricked yourself into thinking your community is too woke and clever to fall victim to it?

Sunday, September 27th: Hi everyone, I’m Gemma, a bi, mentally ill disaster, who’s in desperate need of help.

I didn't expect to be asking for help again so soon from my previous post, but I still need help to get groceries and pay my remaining bills.

As most of you are already aware, I have been struggling financially for quite some time due to my welfare benefits being revoked, under the UK’s controversial changes to how benefits are assessed and assigned. And due to my mental health and some unfortunate DWP mess-ups, my benefits have been on and off sanctions for the past year.

And earlier in the year, I attended a medical assessment for my U.C benefit, the results stated that I have a limited capability for work due to my chronic depression and extreme fatigue, but despite this my benefits were suspended and I've only just had them reinstated.

At the moment, my home town and surrounding areas are back on lockdown and I need help to get groceries and have them delivered. After paying my rent & utilities, I have nothing left for food or my council tax bills.

If anyone could spare any amount to help me, even if it’s just £1/$1/€1, it would literally save my life, and sharing definitely helps just as much as donations. Nobody is obligated in any way to donate if they can’t or don’t want to, I know we’re all struggling right now.
