The Full Snow Moon reaches its peak at 2:34 AM EST on Sunday, February 9 in Leo. The name for this moon is pretty straightforward - on average, February sees the most snow in the U.S. For those in more southern regions, other names include: the Quickening Moon, Hunger Moon, and Tree Moon. 

Deep in he heart of winter, February brings a sense of restless longing. A hunger forms in the heart for the warming of spring. This is a month when the first stirrings of life are quickening in the earth, but still too dormant to see. We must have faith that we can hold on until we see the first green shoots of early plant life.
