What must it have been like to become the most desired, admired, untouchable pinnacles of existence that they became together? To do it alone, incredible. To do it with your, as big a weirdo as you, best friend…intoxicating.
Then to lose it. Fuck a duck.
Here, there and everywhere.
ohhhh judas betrayed jesus with a kiss. ok i’ll do u one better. john lennon and paul mccartney morphed into one horrible tragic being that transformed western culture as we know it. paul has just been nominated for a grammy for a song that john wrote before he was murdered over forty years ago. john wanted a divorce and paul wanted to kill himself. they grew up together. they turned into each other. they weren’t gay they were something much much worse and whatever it was still lives and breathes in practically every song you’ve ever listened to. also they masturbated in the same room once or twice
THEY WERE MEAN TO HIM
Are you fucking kidding me? 💔
NO YOU GUYS DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT I JUST FOUND ON YOUTUBE. WHAT. I'M SHAKING AND CRYING.
This is an amazing work of art. I hope Macca sees it too someday. Breaks my heart.

the idea of Jim being like “thank god my teenager knocked up his girlfriend because that means he’s not having gay sex with John Lennon”
I knowwwww! The implications of that! No one in the fifties was excited and supportive of teen pregnancy. Most parents, especially of Jim's ilk, would be devastated and furious. You know? There goes the illustrious career you were pushing your son into, supposedly the main reason you didn't like him spending so much time with John Lennon and dedicating too much to a band that should've just been a fun thing on the side. But no, Jim's not even disappointed, he's over here like "the whole family is coming over to celebrate your love! look at this adorable pram i found! you two can move in here together and we'll all be one big happy family!"
I really have to wonder if Paul clued in to that. Like was he just like "yeah my dad loves babies and he loves Dot, of course he's excited." Or did it hit him then that Jim was suspicious of John for more reasons than he'd been forthcoming about? And if that's the case, did it change the way Paul himself looked at his relationship with John, or was he already aware by that point of the sexual aspect of their relationship?
Same jumper? Were they sharing or did they have one each? In my mind this is George’s and Paul has borrowed it. ❤️

“Not telling the truth.” Was that a message, was he telling John he wasn’t telling the truth in India, and neither were you.
this part of let it be makes me want to sell my soul to the devil to have been with them in India. What the fuck sort of meta conversation is going on between J&P
P: “It’s incredible yknow just to sort of see us. What we’re doing, it’s incredible…”
?: “What were you doing?”
J: “yes, what were we doing?”
P (stuttering, pulling his hair): “well, y— err, I don’t really know, you know, but it’s like, we totally sort of put our own personalities on there […]”
Ringo laughing, cut to John grinning
Shush.
