“Letters Never Sent”

In flickering light of an oil lamp’s glow,

A boy bends low with ink to sow

The trembling truth he’s never said—

A name, a thought, a heart he bled.

“Dear Lillian,” begins the page,

Penned with hands not yet of age.

His breath held tight, his pulse a thread,

Words unsent, but fully meant.

By the mailbox in the rain,

He stands alone with hope and strain.

Will it reach? Will she reply?

But footsteps break the quiet night,

She stands beneath the softened light.

She sees the note, she meets his eyes—

The time I settled for a very long time in Rosales as pharmacy assistant. I started created bunch of memories there as I go back after 2 weeks of being assigned in one of our branches in Bayambang. I experienced night walks with my workmates to buy foods while raining, went to the municipal hall for a tour, ate dinner with them upstairs, and played hide and seek in the public market at night.

Outing after work gave us a therapeutic feeling after having a heavy workload in the pharmacy. I really enjoyed my time there in Balungao buying foods with my own money in different stalls and riding fair rides especially Vikings 🎡😆 Some of my repeat customers (or patients) were there to have a good time also, and I enjoyed having a conversation with them. See you around Balungao.
