Inktober day 10.

Drawn with sharpie in between appointments.

May turn this into a proper design at some point.

I rarely reblog my own posts unless there's a specific update, but that means I'm also not very good at promoting where you can actually purchase my art!

I Rarely Reblog My Own Posts Unless There's A Specific Update, But That Means I'm Also Not Very Good

You can get three digital (PDF) versions of my comics, "Queer Code," "Emet," and "Seven Hundred and Seventy Eight Days," and two SECRET EXTRA COMICS here: LINK

(The secret extra comics are the "R. J. Hill: Therapist" comics and the "Naruto: The Last King, The Last Priest" comic.)

I have a limited number of my risograph illustration collections "Slap Your Cheeks for Color" and "Step Out Into Your Short Shorts."

Currently, I don't sell prints of my paintings because -- in all honestly -- there's been little demand for them, even when they were available through a print on demand website. If enough people express serious interest in prints, I'd consider trying again in the future.

I'm also thinking of creating color covers for print versions of "Queer Code" and "Seven Hundred and Seventy Eight Days," but that's kind of a back-burner idea at the moment.

You may have noticed that parts of this painting are done in different styles/with different techniques. This hand is painted similarly to a “grisaille,” base shadows painted with color built up in thin layers of glaze.

The First Sketch Of Alien Moon, Fueled By Boredom During The Closing Shift.

the first sketch of alien moon, fueled by boredom during the closing shift.

originally, I gave them really long fingers, but eventually I decided against that.

and also a very silly short comic.

lb-lee: The images seem to be dead?

Aw, dangit. This is an ongoing problem I’ve been having! I can get the java code for the little etsy ad to work on my blog, but not the java code for the Society6 ad. If anyone has any suggestions, I’d appreciate them.

Anonymous: Not much to say regarding recent works. I just really want to say you're a really neat artist! Keep up being the helpful person you are ^_^

thank you!

Anonymous: i recently came across your comic strip dealing with the relationship Homer, Peter, and Hank had with their sons. I just wanted to say that it was awesome, and a bit thought provoking. i had never put to much thought into those shows besides just simply watching it. i really enjoyed your take on it stuff. im not very good at complementing art and whatnot but yours is fantastic. keep trying cause its only gonna get more amazing! 😊😊

thank you very much! It means a lot to hear my art got you thinking about stuff in a new way. For me, the goal of art is to communicate, whether that’s communicating my personal experiences or my perspective on something, so it’s really cool to hear that my scribbly attempts at communication are working!

Anonymous: I just wanted to write you a message to say I think you're really great and looking at your art (especially your comics) makes my soul feel good.

Aw, thanks! Always glad to hear I can cheer the soul.

Anonymous: you're the one who did the therapy comic right? With the chris, bart, and bobby? i want to say at first it was weird seeing them all in the same place. but the message it brough across made me cry so hard because it hit so hard to home. it makes me wish i could be able to do what bobby did at the end. i honestly started cry, I've never really had anything hit me so hard like that. Dont take this the wrong way, its a good thing and what you drew has so much truth to it. I just wanted to tell you

Dang, I don’t think there is a wrong way to take such a heartfelt message. Thank you so much.

Anonymous said: Would you ever revisit your therapist Bobby comics? They’re fascinating. I read the first one a while back and I haven’t stopped thinking of it since.

Thank you! I’ve said what I wanted to say with the comic, so I have no plans to revisit it. If I get inspired to do more with it for some reason, then I will.

@sjwreaper said: Sorry if this has been asked but did you make your loom? I do a lot of fiber art and weaving interests me, it just seems so complex!

I have two looms now! The “trash loom” I did make myself, and the other was gifted to me by my boyfriend.

I’ve only done handweaving, nothing as complex as a floor loom or even a backstrap loom. I think handweaving can be picked up fairly easily and only ends up as complex as you decide to make it!

These are the websites I used as inspiration/instruction for making my loom and tapestries. The trash loom was made simply by pushing thumbtacks into either end of an empty picture frame.

@lumalalu said: NOT to go on about the chris and bart comic but everytime i see it i think of a new interpretation and i think that's really wonderful

Thank you!

Tbh, the day someone creates an interpretation through fanfic or fanart of MY interpretation through fanart is the day I will ascend beyond this mortal form.

Anonymous said: I love you and I wish Bobby Hill was my therapist tbh.

Thank you! I agree, I would love to have Bobby as a therapist.
