Waking up to groggily check notes and see someone tagged one of my sex positivity posts with radical feminism. Seeing red woke me up the rest of the way. I went on a blocking spree for some new followers and just to reiterate:
TERFs are not fucking welcome here.
i just cried over cats getting reunited with owners videos i’m not okay
I literally only realised the other day that being called names such as ‘whore’ and being called lazy and fat often by my stepfather is not okay
And that when he’s calling me something I don’t like and I ask him to stop he says he won’t because ‘he can do what he wants because he’s an adult’
I didn’t realise for a long time that wasn’t okay
It's always infuriated me hearing people say that children have it easy. It's only gotten worse as I've gotten older and have been able to reflect on my childhood and see the children around me grow up.
They do not have it easy. They don't get a say in most important things. They're seen is unintelligent, yet expected to understand things that full grown adults struggle with.
They've got a job, which is school, that is actually proven to not be working for a lot of them; myself included. They're expected to sit still and in silence for at least forty minutes at a time, and those with ADHD are treated as though they're immature and lazy because they often physically can't do it.
Far too many of them have abusive parents that lie through their teeth to make people think everything is fine, and of course, who would believe the child over the parent?
Aspects of abuse has been normalised. Parents are sympathised with when children open up about the things they've gone through, especially if they're not physical. They're told that their parents are only doing this because they love them, or that the child needs to start seeing things from their point of view. Meanwhile, adults can freely complain about their children on public forums and to friends and family and get away with it because "it's hard being a parent".
Fuck off and do better.
DNI Believers of narcissistic/borderline/anti-social/histrionic abuse.
queerplatonic relationship. reblog if you agree!
grandmother. it does not matter if your t-shirt is “too old lady-ish trying to look young with bright colours”. it looks amazing. wear it.
I can’t tell if it’s my stomach or my lower back that hurts because I’ve been sat hunched over for a while now :/
Love love love characters that present themselves as emotionally open social butterflies but the more you see of them the more obvious it is that they’re the most closed off fuckers in the story. Sure, they want to help you with your personal problems and messy emotions, but if you turn that shit back on them, they’ll shut down or deflect every time. Why are you sticking your nose in their business anyway? It’s not like it matters. They’re not a person, they’re just a role being played. They’re the guy who fixes things and saves people. Please ignore the man behind the mask, he’s fine. Everything’s fine.
Wait hold up a sec
Pronouns are meant to give you euphoria when you find some that fit??
I’ve just been going with whatever doesn’t make me feel gross (I’m too scared to even consider neopronouns as my family doesn’t support them at all)
hello 👋
is it ok to hate certain pronouns being used for you, but having none that you really, genuinely feel good with? I use they/them but it doesn't really give me that euphoria ppl talk about so I just wanted to ask
whatever feelings you have about pronouns are always okay.
it's probably more common than people talk about too. this is actually how i felt for a long time about my pronouns in german. i definitely didn't want german he/him or she/her, but no german neopronouns or it/its gave me the "right" feeling. i ended up kinda flip-flopping around.
sometimes "this'll do" is the best option.
(there's also always the possibility of not using pronouns or using multiple sets or making up your own neopronouns.)
@staff Do something about the misuse of the asexual tag by bots and users misusing the tag. We are fighting for our tag. Do something you cowards. Reblog to get the staff to see
if i can remember to i’m gonna start doing daily lgbt-related facts, so here’s my first one (yes this may seem obvious, but this is to help educate people who don’t know this stuff)
fotd: with lgbt related things, the prefixes of things like sexuality/sexual orientation, romantic orientation, and gender tend to be interchangeable. take the bi- prefix for example: bisexual is sexually attracted to people of two genders, biromantic is romantically attracted to people of two genders, and bigender is having two genders that you identify with
Please return us to a world where Notp and squick are used for a ship you don’t like instead of just making up a load of bullshit about how immoral it is or w/e lol
