Its kinda funny and also a bit sad that the first impression of onimai tends to be really bad because of how insane the plot is on paper and how normal it is for those kinds of plots to turn into a bit into the disgusting side, and yet the story its really freaking solid and despite some less than ideal jokes (that are at their worst on the anime mostly so if you are a manga reader it isnt bad enough to feel disgusted) the manga its really genuine and heart warming and the transgender coding being all over the story makes it just such a gem
