Roses are red, that much is true, but violets are purple, not fucking blue.

So my sister wants to start sewing more, because

a. She’s 5′ 11″ and can never find pants long enough for her legs or shirts long enough for her arms.

b. She hates synthetic fibers as much as I do and it’s difficult to find natural fiber clothes that aren’t made of cotton

c. She’s a biologist and would physically fistfight microplastics if given half a chance

So her gift from mom and dad for her birthday was a sewing machine. Not a super expensive one but a good solid serviceable one.

And recently she asked “So where do I GET wool or linen and thread that isn’t polyester” and mom was like ‘go ask your sister’

And I, of course, crashed into the group text like “GET A PEN I HAVE WEBSITES FOR U” and honestly I’m thrilled about this

So I went to a friends party and a couple people started talking about sexualities and I heard a guy say “oh yeah, I’ve never met one but i think ace girls would just be the cutest little things, since they don’t want sex. Like, they’d always be so innocent”

And I was wearing leather and punk and I have behind one ear shaved and a spiked collar and knee hight boots. I walked up behind him, laughing so loud a bunch of people stopped to stare at me and I told him, almost shouting, “WHOA BOY YOU GOT IT ALL WRONG. IS ACE’S DONT HAVE SEXUAL DESIRES SO WE HAVE A BUNCH OF EXTRA BRAIN POWER. WE’RE GONNA RULE THE WORLD BY THIS TIME NEXT YEAR IF WE KEEP TO THE SCHEDULE”

And my friends all laughed at me, knowing this guy couldn’t win. He stuttered some, trying the “I didn’t mean it like THAT” story but I just kept yelling “HAIL THE ACE REPUBLIC. DOWN WITH THE STRAIGHTS. BISEXUALS ARE YOU WITH ME? ANARCHY ANARCHY!”

Its obvious to me when people who post about canaries in mines have never met a canary. Like yeah the miners had a special device to revive the canary because canaries are one of the most adorable creatures on the planet and they make adorable little chirping sounds and honestly probably loved the sounds of machinery and people talking so it was probably loud and friendly with the workers. Whatever though maybe meet a canary sometime and youd understand
