I, as many others, believe that we will have at least two main plot points in the movie: the past and the present. and in both we’ll get to see two different olympics – victor’s first, and yuuri’s first. and we will get to also see two different results: victor failing to win and yuuri actually winning.

now, the reason why I believe it will happen is 1) people want this and mappa&sayokubo have always been generous to us, 2) it’s about time yuuri finally wins, HE DESERVES IT ALRIGHT, 3) the contrast that will actually finally put the ‘yuuri can only be great bc victor made him’ rumours to eternal, damned rest.

but as much as I want to see yuuri win, and as much as I will love and adore when we all see victor win silver and yuuri win gold, proving he’s as good as we all know him to be, I also want to see another thing. I want to see victor recounting his desperate fight for gold, his heartbreak when he didn’t win it during those first olympics, and then I want to see him smile at yuuri and say:

“back then I thought winning was everything, but now I know better. and, just so you know, no matter how you place, you are still a talented skater, yuuri. and in my eyes, you will always be the winner.”

AND THAT. THAT IS MY MOST FERVENT WISH FOR ICE ADOLESCENCE. GOODNIGHT.

We literally blew up uhh-

Viktor’s love language being physical affection- and acts of service- is the cutest and saddest shit ever

We’re taking about a boy who grew up too fast and with too much autonomy to be healthy

He was barley a teen when he became a world famous skater

He had the weight of his nation, of the public, of his coach and, most importantly, of himself, on his shoulders

We don’t know what’s up with Viktor’s parents but I think it’s safe to say they weren’t really there for him

And Yakov clearly got a soft spot for him but he’s not really into physical affection

Not to mention that with fame comes isolation, we’d be right to assume Viktor probably didn’t have lots of friends. Much less physically affectionate ones

He was always by himself, it was always him and Makka against the world

He got where he is by himself and with virtually no help (except for coaching but you get what I mean)

He probably had a personal, steady income since he was a teen, and he probably moved to live alone very early in life

He’s accustomed to being his only crutch and doing everything on his own

Because of this is so so heartwarming that his love language manifests as the two things he never really got from others: Physical affection and Acts of Service.

AND THE FACT THAT HE LIKES YUURI ENOUGH TO TRY TO SHOW HIM THROUGH HIS LOVE LANGUAGE WHAT HE MEANS TO VIKTOR

AND THE FACT THAT YUURI RESPONDS IN KIND

THEYRE SOULMATES YOUR HONOUR
