Hi! I just found "Come Back" and I absolutely hate it how good it was! Ugh my heart. :( Was wondering if there's going to be a sequel/part 2?
Hi! I'm so sorry I never saw this until today! I've thought about doing a sequel but I feel like sometimes you've just gotta let stuff go đ„°đ„°

Summary: You weren't well known in the clan, and when you become friends with Tuk, no one believes her.
Warning: Straight up Flufff
When you were growing up, you found yourself wanting to linger in the background more than insert yourself into the everyday activities of those your age. Like now, you were currently lounging in a tree, eyes facing up at the clouds as they moved by at their own pace.
You were a gatherer for the clan, not that anyone knew. You would rise before the sun to go out and gather the sweetest, most bountiful food your clan had ever tasted, leaving it in the baskets by the main fire circle. The fruits were always plump and juicy, herbs and spices nicely placed in pouches for easy access.
You wanted to begin early to end early, opting to stay out of sight of others. Now, some knew of you, the elders for example always took a small notice on how you were much more reserved than others your age. Your parents of course knew you, but you were a failure of a child in their eyes. At your age you should've been chosen for a mate, or made a mark on the clan in some positive way, but you didn't, so they turned their attention to your more 'promising' younger siblings.
You never cared, preferring your more modest lifestyle of peaceful serenity.
"Whoa! What are you doing up there?"
But Great Mother had other plans for you.
You gazed over the side of the branch you were currently laying on, brushing your hair that had fallen into your eyes away, spotting a young girl in the forest floor below you.
This was not just any girl, oh no, this was Tuktirey, Toruk Maktos youngest child.
You let a small smile slip on your face as you slowly began a decent, swift and agile, like that of a cat.
You knelt infront of her, your eyes meeting hers that were still so full of child like wonder, "what are you doing here small one?" Tuk giggled, looking side to side as if looking for something, or someone.
"I was following my brothers, but I guess I got lost," Extending a hand to Tuk, "Well, let us get you home then," her small fingers wrapped around yours and you both began your walk, going back down the path you had made from the times you ventured out here.
Tuk couldn't help but wonder why she had never seen you before, yet she thought you were very beautiful. The aura that surrounded you was so soft and peaceful, it made her feel instantly safe.
"Why do you come out here, it's very far from home? Are you a hunter or a gatherer? Your hair is very pretty, can you do mine like that? Wait! What's your name?" Tuk rambled out, skipping beside you. A chuckle escaped your lips, you liked Tuk, she was very silly.
You stopped and knelt down beside her, her yellow eyes stared into your soft green eyes and she couldn't help but think you held the forest in your eyes, "My name is (Y/n), I much prefer to gather, and I think your hair is fine just the way it is, simply because it's yours,"
You couldn't help but boop her nose, her nose scrunched as she let out a laugh. You smiled, "now, what is your name?" Tuk felt like you already knew, but she puffed out her chest proud, "My name is Tuktirey, but you can call me Tuk!"
"Such a pretty name," you gasped, standing up and resuming your walk to the village. Tuk swung your intertwined hands back and forth, both of you finding comfort in eachother.
When you had finally happened upon the village, you could hear everyone in a state of panic. Tuk groaned, her ears pinned back, "I think they realized I was gone," you knelt beside her, both of you hidden just out of sight with the plants, "then maybe you should appear,"
Tuk hugged you, you wrapped your arms around her to return the embrace. "Will I see you again?" She asked, pulling away enough to see your face.
"Of course, I quite like you," you smiled, slowly giving her a nudge to the panicked clan members.
When Tuk had emerged out of the brush, the panicked cries turned into one's of relief and joy. Many ran over to embrace her, but by this point you had already vanished without a trace.
"Tuk! Where were you, we were worried sick!" Jake exclaimed, sweeping his youngest into his arms and giving her a extra tight hug. "I tried to follow Neteyam and Lo'ak but I got lost, but it's okay!" Tuk laughed, "I found (Y/n) and she helped me get home!"
Jake and Neytiri exchanged a look, as did some of the other clan members. Your name was no familiar, almost positive there was no one in the village who has that name.
"Tuk, what are you talking about?" Neytiri wondered, taking her child from her mate and settling her on the ground in front of her, "There is no one named (Y/n) in the village," Neytiri began to examine Tuk for a head injury, but Tuk pulled her head away in annoyance, "I know what happened, (Y/n) helped me, she's right,"
But when Tuk turned around to where you had been, you were gone, "she was right here," Tuk cried, but her parents chalked it up to fatigue from being lost all day.
"Come, you must eat and rest," Neytiri pulled Tuk along by the hand, which Tuk did almost sulkly, glancing back one more time to see you emerge and give her a wink before disappearing behind everyone's backs. Tuk grinned, now happily walking with her Mom.
~.~
Weeks had passed and Tuk now snuck off any chance she had to find you, sometimes waking up early to join you on your gathering. You were like another big sister to her, you were so soft and gentle with her, it almost reminded her of her own mother. You would show her the best places to gather fruit and herbs, show her how to move silently through the forest so not to disturb it.
In return, Tuk gave you simple companionship. You always thought it was fun being alone, but Tuk gave you a shining light of what having someone around could be like.
When Tuk would return from wherever you two had disappeared to, she would tell her family all about it, now causing Jake and Neytiri to worry that she was making up stories to make herself feel important like her siblings.
"Ma Jake, I'm beginning to worry about Tuk," Neytiri spoke one day when she watched her youngest venture off into the brush before she could stop her, "it is not safe out there but yet she continues to go, we must stop her," Jake could only hum in agreement.
"What's the name of the person she speaks of? (Y/n)? Are we sure she's not a person in the clan?" Jake questioned, Neytiri feeling her shoulders sag in exhaustion cause she had asked any gatherer, hunter or healer she could think of and no one knew about you.
"Maybe we should send Neteyam with her one day? Make sure she's really safe? See what he can find out?" Neytiri fired off question after question, Jake taking her hands into his as he calmed her down, "That's sounds like a great idea, if there's anyone who can find out it's him, come, let's find him,"
They both set off to find their eldest, who they were sure was going to throw a fit hearing about their plan.
~.~
Tuk panted, running up to a clearing where she saw you relaxing by a small pond, toes and feet floating in the clear water. "I'm here! What are we going to do today?" Tuk skipped over, taking a seat next to you as your turned your gaze to her, a smile coating your face.
"What would you like to do?" You asked, Tuks face scrunched up in thought before asking you, "Could we go for a swim next to the waterfall?" You thought about it, before nodding. It was very close to the village, but you were looking forward to spending time with Tuk.
"Awesome!" She cheered, pulling you up off the ground and began the walk, with you giggling behind her.
The water had been very liberating of any stress or thoughts that plagued you. You sighed in bliss, leaning back to float in the water as your eyes gazed up at the clouds, the soft white making you forget everything.
Tuk had jumped in, splashing you and causing a laugh to erupt from your stomach as you flipped over, watching the young girl giggle and continue to splash you with water.
You began a water assault back, both of you not even paying attention to how loud you were being which caught the attention of Neteyam nearby who had been searching for Tuk under the instructions of their parents.
"Tuk!" He called, walking into the rocky terrain that held the waterfall where he saw Tuk soaked and wading waist deep in the water, her breath heavy as though she ran for miles, yet a smile plastered her lips.
You were no where to be seen, ducking under the water to find a rock that had caught your eye.
"Tuk, it's time to come home, let's go," he helped her out of the water, not noticing you surface up to your shoulders in the shade of a tree that grew on the nearby bank.
Your hair had rested on your face a little and your shoulders, the shade making your eyes almost glow as you analyzed Neteyam. He was your age, currently training to be the next clan leader and yet here he was, fetching his sister.
Tuk through a glance over her shoulder to see you in the shade, throwing up a quick wave goodbye and taking off in front of her brother.
Neteyam had caught her look and couldn't help but turn back, catching a quick sight of you.
A beautiful, young woman who was lounging in the water covered by shade. Your eyes are what caught his attention the most, but just as quick as he'd seen you, the next second he blinked in shock before opening them to find you gone, the water only rippling from where he saw you, well, where he thought he saw you.
Neteyam was now becoming a quick believer of Tuk's stories.
~.~
Now that Neteyam had caught a glimpse of you, he started to see you everywhere. Although, it was out of the corner of his eyes, because when he would turn to see you, your figure was gone, the place he had seen you now empty or void of anyone or anything.
He had told his parents that he didn't see anyone with Tuk, but that was only because he feared how crazy he would sound. Seeing someone who wasn't entirely there and then them being gone the next second. They'd send him straight to the Sky People for evaluation.
Neteyam had followed Tuk out of the hut one late afternoon, Tuk turning to him confused since he has never followed her before, "What are you doing?" Neteyam just smiled, playing an act to follow his parents instructions, "Well, I've missed hanging out with my favorite littlest sister," he roughed up Tuks hair, causing her to hiss and push his hand away, "so I figured we could spend the rest of the day together,"
Tuk glanced sideways towards the path, a bit unsure about how you'd reac to Neteyam coming along, "I don't know, you probably wouldn't be up for it," Neteyam raised an eyebrow, his thoughts consumed on what a child would be doing that he himself couldn't or wouldn't wanna do, especially so late in the afternoon.
"Well, if you're sure," Tuk grinned, taking off down the path faster than Neteyam had expected, "Tuk! Wait for me!"
~.~
You had been lounging in a tree again, this time basking in the setting sun's glow. You felt so warm, the lights rays bringing a sense of belonging to your being.
"(Y/n)!" Tuk exclaimed, running into sight as you glanced down at her, your lips showing your usual soft smile that you saved for her.
"Neteyam is following me, come on let's hurry!" Tuk tried to rush you, but you only laughed, "Why are we hiding from your brother?" Tuk felt her cheeks puff up in annoyance, "Come on (Y/n)! I don't want him to find you!" It wasn't often Tuk would throw a childish fit with you, so you knew this must be important to her.
You quickly climbed down, taking her hand and pulling her out of sight just in time for Neteyam to come around the corner. He stopped and took a quick look around, running a hand through his braids aggravated. "Come on Tuk! Mom and Dad don't want you out here by yourself,"
Neteyam continued on through, running right past where you two hid in a flower bush before emerging a minute after he disappeared.
Tuk laughed but quickly stopped when she saw your disappointed face, "I'm sorry," she mumbled, kicking the dirt with her ears pinned down.
"Let's walk and talk," you took her by the shoulder softly, "Is there a reason you keep running away from your family? I understand you want to be friends, but surely I'm not worth worrying your family over?"
You led her down a path as Eclipse began to set in, the forest coming to life with lights and sounds. "Well, I thought you might want to be kept alone, like how you were before we became friends," Tuk answered, but you knew better, "but?" You pushed, Tuk groaning before replying.
"Well, Neteyam has his hunting parties and future clan leader responsibilities, Kiri has healing and grandma, Lo'ak and Spuder go on treks through the forest, I just wanted something that was mine for a while," while a bit childish, you could see what she meant. It was nice to have something all your own, even if it wasn't necessarily yours to keep or own.
Tuk kept her eyes trained on the ground in front of her, hands rubbing together embarrassed. Tuk thought that you would be upset with her, but she was shocked when she felt your hand rub soothing circles on her back as you continued to walk together.
"Do not feel bad, sometimes we wish for things that cannot always be, but if it makes you feel better, you will always be my first and best friend," Tuk felt giddy knowing that you felt the same as she did. You truly were a big sister to her.
"I think it's time we returned for the night," you told her, Tuk nodded, feeling a little tired. "Come," you picked her up, her arms wrapped around your neck and head rested on her shoulder.
You smelled of flowers and mist, a calming scent that soon had Tuk drift off to sleep. Which means she couldn't return to her parents on her own, meaning you had to face the leaders of the clan.
Entering the village, you took notice that many had already gone to dinner, leaving a clear path straight to the leaders tent, where you could hear inside Jake Sully, the Olo'eyktan and Neytri, his mate and Tuks mother frantically asking Neteyam where Tuk was.
You held Tuk up with one arm, softly clearing your throat to make your presence known as you lift the drape, all three coming to a freeze as they saw you, a stranger, with Tuk fast asleep in your arms.
You dipped your head in greeting, eyes over looking the two males and straight to the female who quickly walked to you with fear and concern for her baby. "She is alright, just sleeping," you whispered, not wanting to wake up Tuk as Neytiri gently slipped her from you.
Neytiri nodded a head in thanks, though her eyes held confusion. Your eyes slipped over Jake Sullys form, a small gesture of hello from another head nod before you allowed your eyes to stay trained on Neteyams shocked yellow.
'She is real,' is all Neteyam could think as you both played a stare game, you breaking it off with a soft smile before disappearing. He found the sudden ability to move, dashing to the drape only to pull it back and find you gone, like a phantom.
"I think, that's (Y/n)" Jake mumbled, his mind wracking to find any sense of familiarity of you, but found none. Neytiri felt a small rumble from Tuk, glancing down at the small girl to find her awake and giggling softly, "Told you she was real,"
~.~
Neteyam couldn't get you out of his head, now actively looking for you, but you weren't anywhere to be found. Tuk had told him all about you, and this time he listened, but she wouldn't tell him where you go.
"(Y/n) doesn't like to be sought after, you can only find her when she wants you to find her," Tuk laughed like it was the most simplest thing in the world, but it just made Neteyam frustrated.
He knew so little about you but felt a strange need to be near you, hear your soft voice again and find out more. Call it a crush, infatuation or even obsession, he just wanted to see you again, even if for a last time.
It was only when he took a stroll through the brush on a warm afternoon, that he found you. Only you were laying patch off soft moss, eye shut as you looked at piece with the world.
The world itself seemed to be happening around you, each breath you took was like a breeze from Eywa herself. Insects and small animals passed you by, as if you were just one with them.
Neteyam had approached you slowly, footsteps light as he observed your face. It was beautiful in his eyes, your soft lashes caressing your cheeks, lips parted ever so slightly with each breath you took in. Your hair seemed to flow around you in the vast green foliage.
He was too lost in his thoughts that he didn't notice you open your eyes and look back at him. Your green eyes traced his features as well, taking in the rough yet handsome face he was gifted with. He truly was his mother's child.
When he saw your green eyes staring back at him, he fell back from his squat in shock. You softly hummed, a smile so small but just for him.
"What are you looking at?" He coughed, his face feeling warm from your stare.
You sat up slowly, his eyes glancing at how your body was bending, hair falling over your cheeks to frame your face.
Eywa help his sinful thoughts.
"Oh you know," you drawled, "The clouds,"

GOT ME KICKING MY FEET AND WANTING A WHOLE 3 SEASON 23 EPISODE SERIES
b.katsuki + lava Quirk!wife (both Pro Heroes)
ââa.n; i woke up today feeling feisty lol not really xd just wanted some "i'm crazy as you are" type of love today lmaoâđŒđ€
Bakugou Katsuki is obsessed with you.
And he doesn't even try to hide it.
You're his sidekick. You had trained in his Agency since you were a mere brat doing your internship your first year at UA. Of course, there were literally counted the times you had encountered him in person. The other Heroes that joined his Agency were the ones in charge of the kids. They had told you how Dynamight hated when babysitting time came every year, he wouldn't even participate in those actually. So they would advice to not cross his path.
From time to time, Dynamight would watch their sparrings sessions, gave them a bit of adviceâmore like mean criticism yell at them. But he had better things to do, people to save, villains to get their asses destroyed by him. He was not going to waste his time with annoying brats like you.
He had heard of you, of course. The one brat that could control and handle freaking lava like it was fucking nothing. Of course when he saw you, he thought his sidekick had pulled a prank on him, joking to see if would be excited about the idea of having someone with that type of Quirk in his Agency. You couldn't be the one with the lava quirk. You looked... normal. Quirkless evenâif this were other times and if he would judge people about it. He had changed, okay? Thank you very fucking much. But he did think it was impossible that you were that amazing brat the other heroes were talking about. They had even compared you to him, in witty and determination to become the number one Pro Hero on the ranks, in strength and no mercy against villains, or other heroes and classmates.
When he stood right in front of you one day, towering almost three heads over you and almost one more person's size to the side, Dynamight laughed. You looked like a little bunny caught red-handed, terrified by everyone around youâespecially by the size of himâand skittish, almost like what Deku had been as a kid.
That should have been a first warning for Bakugouânever judge a book by its cover.
You have trained in his Agency the three years you had been in UA, and he has never once seen you nor your Quirk on display, nevertheless in real action. He had only heard how good you were in trainings from the other heroes. But he didn't care enough to actually sought-after. He was already fighting Deku for the number one spot on the rankings, he didn't have time for brats like you.
Until one day, a dangerous villain, that created enormous monsters of metal almost to the size of a ten flour building, was causing too much disaster appeared. It was more than chaos, it had been a destruction like no other.
Dynamight nor Deku could contain the motherfucker.
He was bruised, his hands beat with agony at the amount of times he had used his blasts and the push to keep going, his body muscles were screaming for him to stop. A quick glance to his side where Deku was, and the guy wasn't better than him, breathing like his lungs couldnât no more. Every other hero in the scene was in the same shape.
They were fucking losing.
And then, like an angel sent from heavenâor better said, a demon sent from the deepest hell for the way you fucking looked, you appeared in all your majestic glory, lava making you slide in between them, surrounding you like it was nothing, like strings coming from inside your body, and began a new fight with that fucking villain's monsters.
Bakugou saw âan enamored expression on his faceâ how you your whole demeanor changed, your skin, your eyes, everything in you became so menacingly, so evil looking, so freaking scary, that if you weren't training to be a Hero, he thought you would be one the most terrifying villains of all times âeven more than that piece of shit AFO.
The lava was visible in all your body, and you fought, a crazed smile and eyes opened wide, enjoying the damage you were doing to the metal monsters; your joy was shining bright for everyone to see, as you yelled, "DIE, YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT!" as the monster melted under your hands and body.
He was captivated, fucking spellbound, by the sight in front of him. He fell to his knees, watching you melt every single one of the monster in one more movement of your hand, as lava flowed towards them, capturing and melting them as you stand straight, the expression on your face serious and deadly. You then walked towards the source, the main villain who was creating this chaos, and the guy literally fell to the floor in fear, trying to crawl away from you in tears. When you stood before him, you crouched to his level, and smiled devilishly.
The villain pissed his pants.
And Bakugou's cock twitched.
He then murmured, "I'm gonna marry the shit out that woman."
Deku chuckled, shaking his head and letting his body fall to ground in tiredness. Everything was okay now.
From then on, you were by Dynamight's side all the time. The second you graduated âBakugou Katsuki of fucking course attended the graduation ceremonyâ he offered a job on his Agency for you. And you said yes, even though you had options like Deku's Agency, or Hawk's, and even Endeavor had offered you a big place on his, trying to win you by saying that most of his sidekicks were fire-like Quirks and that his mother had a Quirk similar to yours, he could ask her for advice for you. Bakugou's stomach turned thinking he might had won you over that. But before he could finish the sentence, "Would you like a spot on my Agâ", you exclaimed a big YES, smiling warmly and eyes shining in excitement.
He had to clear his throat and look away at your expression, making something tingle in his chest. Was that his heart?
You became his partner then, in missions, in interviews, in meetings with other Agencies when some big villain appeared and they had to join forces. You were always there, not behind him but next to him.
In interviews he would always let you speak about how everything went and thank every body who helped. But Katsuki would look at you. Look as the lava started to dissipate from your skin, slowly turning down the temperature and going back to your normal color. Your hair that became liquid lava slowly became the color of greyish-black rock and then smoothed its way to your normal texture and color. He always felt mesmerized watching the process, and he would look at it any opportunity he got.
It wasn't until one night out with his old friends that Pikachu said, "Dude, tone down your thirst a lil' bit," in between laughs with Raccoon Eyes and Shitty Hair.
"What the fuck are you talking about?"
Kirishima patted his back, shaking his head, "Your sidekick, man. The lava girl?"
"What?"
"What we are trying to say," Mina smirked, "is that everytime you look at her, its almost palpable the way you want to eat her."
Bakugou gulped. "Shut the fuck up. I don't look at her like that."
Mina winked at him, "If you say so..."
That night he searched on the internet in his phone for interviews, desperately. Fuck, his friends were right. He did look at you with a fascination and hunger he had never saw himself do. He remembered thinking about marrying you back in the days, but that had been the heat of the moment, right? This annoyed the shit out of him. But watching you again in those videos, as you smiled so kindly to the reporters or other Hero friends or to even civilians while looking so freaking scary when your Quirk was activated, made something stir inside his belly.
Fuck, you're gorgeous. You're everything he didn't know he wanted.
And that's when he decided he would not hide his feelings for you anymore.
So now, a few years after, when you are married to number two Pro Hero Dynamight, people always talk about how your husband always looks at you. How he always encourages you in your fights to "kill those fucking piece of shits, baby!!" as he is very close to you fighting his own set of shitty villains and you encourage him saying "show them who is the number two hero, love!" He looses it then, a blast that ends it all.
They talk about how he would always kiss you after a fight, even after all that adrenaline that makes him want to bury himself deep inside your warmth, he only holds your face gently, gloved thumbs caressing your cheeks lovingly, eyes locked onto each other like the world doesn't exist outside that moment, and he kisses you softly, a simple touch, a cute press of lips that lasts a millisecond so he doesn't burn the skin of his face and lips. And then he pulls one of your hands with his up in victory.
He didn't only win the battles, he won you each and every time he got to simply look at you, be next to you, kiss you.
He is obsessed with you, and he doesn't want to fucking hide it from the world.

cw pregnancy mention, gojo has a daughter, minors dni
Satoru has a fussy one-month-old in one arm and a cold bottle of pumped breastmilk in the other.Â
Itâs the dead of night, somewhere between 2 and 3 am, and itâs been just a little over three hours since you last fed the little bundle of joy, but sheâs especially squirmy at this moment, and your husband has swooped in to collect her before she can wake you fully. Itâs been a rough past few weeks, especially for you between recovering from a not particularly easy birth and dealing with the expansion of your little family from two to three. Gojo may have wished with every ounce of power that he could make your life easier - if he could have had the baby himself he absolutely would have - but he can only do so much.Â
And he does everything he absolutely can.Â
Bouncing her gently in his left arm, he sets up the bottle warmer, then leans on the counter to rock your daughter slowly back and forth. He has about six minutes to burn as he waits for the milk to be ready, and considers returning to your bedroom to glance over at you as you sleep. Youâd been truly exhausted, loosely clinging to his neck as he moved you from the couch to tuck you into bed, murmuring his name and a sleep-softened word of thanks. Itâs a relief so small that he offers you and yet youâre always so grateful, even with your eyes closed and barely conscious.
He loves you so much.Â
Your little girl is so tiny in his arms but her weight in his hands is something incredible. Sheâs quieter now, still bundled warmly, and Gojo holds her with two hands to take her in fully, as he does so often these days. Clear blue eyes mirror his and wisps of white hair peek from under one of the many hats his students knitted for her. Despite the fact that she is his spitting image, he still finds it so hard to believe that she truly belongs to him.Â
Him. He is her father. She is his. He is hers.
Her gaze at him is so focused sometimes that it feels almost like a challenge but his heart swells the longer he looks at her. He kisses her forehead then holds her close to his chest.
An alert goes off and he picks up the now warm bottle to test it on the back of his hand, then moves to the living room to feed her.Â
His daughter closes her eyes as she drinks but Gojo cannot take his eyes off of her. He hums as she suckles and strokes at her cheek every so often with his thumb. She favors him so much in appearance but heâs constantly searching for you in the babyâs features, and he always finds it. You are her mother after all.Â
Thereâs a saying that men who have a lot to prove are blessed with daughters, and at least in this case, it is proven to be true. He promises with every fiber of his being that he will be so very good to her and of course, to you.
My family is all in those mountains of East TN. I got married in those mountains in East TN. I've driven those back roads and ran through fields in the summer heat chasing fireflies. I've watched the sun rise and set over the vast peaks in the distance and I've smelled the thunderstorms that roll in the late afternoon sky. The fear, the unknowing. I'm thankful my family made it out alive, but the families that didn't don't deserve the hate for "not being prepared" or because of their state color is stupid and barbaric because how do you prepare for something like flooding in the mountains, the land slides, the no warning. Children ripped from their parents, grandparents who were raised on that land just like their parents before them and suddenly it's all gone under mud, rubble and fast moving water. People need help, people are missing and currently dying but hey, when you're nustled in your cozy bed with warm water and all the food you could eat, why bother to see the other side.
Iâm from the south and I have family who live in Appalachia. While my family out there wasnât within the zone of the damage caused by hurricane helene, their homes were decimated by another natural disaster a couple of years ago.
The response to their suffering then is the same as it is now, to the victims of Helene. That somehow, they deserved it, because they live in an area that votes red, or maybe vote red themselves.
This is elitist and classist bullshit and itâs fucking disgusting. Any person who claims to want a world in which we establish self-sustaining communities who, in the same breath, condemns people to death is not the progressive they tout themselves to be. They are vile and cruel.
You do not get to speak on Appalachiaâs voting patterns if you do not understand the history and context that created it. You do not get to wish death upon hundreds or thousands of children or disabled persons or any marginalized community simply because they happened to be born in an area youâve written off as irredeemable. You do not get to cower behind the generalizations you make about an entire region simply because its poverty and disenfranchisement make you uncomfortable.
I am so, so sick of coastal liberals speaking on the South/Appalachia when they have neither the interest nor desire to help the people here. Who seek only to condescend and then have the gall to act confused why they wonât side with the very people who tell them they deserve to lose their homes, their families, their lives, because they donât vote for certain candidates. If you canât be fucked to learn the first thing about the area, keep its people out of your mouth.
"What would you do Hero? The girl? Or the city?" "THE CITY" "Oh? So you would sacrifice one for all? Oh honey, *turns to kidnapped partner, small smirk* I would kill them all just for you,"
superhero romance is actually so fun because what does âI would die for youâ mean from a guy who would die for anyone?

Ao'nung wanted to scream out of frustration, but instead, he simply nodded and walked away from the conversation.
His parents just didn't understand. They wanted to pair him with a Metkayina woman, someone who had grown up with him and better understood their ways, and until recently Ao'nung had, of course, been fine with that.
That was, until he met you.
Now, he couldn't imagine spending his life with any Metkayina woman. Not when he had you.

"How can I!" you replied, practically hissing at her, and instantly felt bad for your reaction. It wasn't Kiri's fault that you were so stressed out - you were just so worried about how Ao'nung's conversation would go with his parents.
As the eldest son of the chief, Ao'nung's future had been planned since the day he was born - and you knew you were disrupting that by being in love with him, but you just couldn't help it.
Even though Ao'nung had annoyed you at first, and you'd thought him arrogant, the more time you spent around him, the more you realized he was just trying to live up to the pressure put on him.
You were just about to sit next to Kiri, when Neteyam ran by your mauri, sprinting and hollering about something - it was so fast, you couldn't understand.
"Probably Lo'ak," Kiri said, rolling her eyes, but the both of you jumped up to follow your twin brother. He was running towards the beach, and Lo'ak was just behind him.
"Or not," Kiri amended as you followed.
There was a small gathering on the beach, and you followed your brothers as they wove their way through the crowd.
"Y/N!" Neteyam yelled, turning frantically to look for you. "It's Ao'nung. Quick."
He grabbed your arm, and you rushed forward with him.
Lying on the beach was Ao'nung, and there was a large gash across his chest, and blood was pouring out of it profusely. Roxto sat next to him, also scratched up but not as gravely injured.
Quickly, you knelt next to Ao'nung and pulled off the top you were wearing, pressing it onto the wound.
"What happened," you asked quickly as you worked. While Ao'nung replied, you asked Kiri for a few specific things, and she took off to get them, probably from your mother.
"Fishing accident," Ao'nung said, and you looked to Roxto for a further explanation.
"He was mad. We got careless. The spear slipped."
You bent down, listening to his heartbeat. "It's missed anything vital. We just need to stop the bleeding. Roxto, apply pressure here." You removed your hands as Roxto's hovered, and you pressed his down over the bloody clothing.
Kiri returned swiftly with what you needed, and you got to work, applying agents that you knew would slow bleeding and promote clotting, plus ward off infection. You lay clean cloths over the wound, as the bleeding slowed. Ao'nung was silent, his teeth gritted, through the entire process. Many watched, and you knew he wanted to look strong for them.
Finally, you allowed yourself to look into Ao'nung's eyes, and you gave him a reassuring smile.
"You will live to see another day, Yawne," you said, and he reached out to grab your wrist and hold it tight. You were still applying pressure t the wound, but he was certainly out of the woods. The amount of blood had been alarming, but his greatest risk would be infection, not death from blood loss.
"Thank you, Yawntu," he said, his jaw finally relaxing, almost managing a smile.
"Everyone, shoo!" you said, turning to gesture with your arms wildly at them. "Give him some space."
As you turned back to him, his mother arrived.
"Where is my son!?" she yelled, as the crowd began to dissipate. She knelt down opposite you, and you backed up a little bit - or tried to, until Ao'nung reached out, grabbing your hand and stopping you from moving further away.
"I'm okay, Mom. Y/N has healed me."
She moved the bandages out of the way, closely examining the wound. "It needs closed."
You nodded, and held out the needle and thread you had been just about to use, once you got some privacy. "I wanted to move from the beach, ensure the wound was clean first."
She peered at the wound, her son, and then you.
"This is fine work, Y/N," she had to admit, though she seemed to do it reluctantly. "Come with me."
She stood and turned. You jumped up, pulling Ao'nung with you, and you followed her back to her home. She instructed Ao'nung to sit down, and told you to proceed with cleaning and closing the wound.
"This will hurt," you told Ao'nung as you ensured your needle was sharp enough. You reached out, putting a hand on his cheek. "Tell if you need a break. It's going to be many stitches."
He nodded, gritting his teeth, and you began.
Not so much as a sigh came from Ao'nung's mouth as you put 23 stitches in his chest, slowly, to ensure the wound was lined up and would leave as small a scar as possible on his broad, beautiful chest.
When you were done, you cleaned and dressed the wound, and you had almost forgotten Ronal was watching over your shoulder.
"Beautiful work," Ronal said, examining closely once you were done, and you slumped back against the soft wall of the mauri, exhausted from worry and stress.
"Leave now, girl, I must speak to my son," Ronal said, without so much as look towards you, and you didn't have to be asked twice.
--
You washed yourself clean, and hovered in the water awhile, joined by Neteyam.
"You were in there a long time," he said. "What happened?"
You described the scene to him, and he flinched when you got to the part about Ronal's dismissal.
"Well, if she doesn't let you two be together now, she's a fool," Neteyam said with a comforting smile. Something above your head caught his eye, and you turned to see Ao'nung approaching.
You sprung up, rushing to him, and heard the splash of Neteyam swimming away.
"Don't get the wound wet for a few days!" you exclaimed, pushing him by his shoulders away from the shoreline.
He smiled at laughed. "I know, I know, mom told me."
You sighed. "Are you okay?"
"Are you? I've never seen my mother scrutinize someone so hard, for so long."
You let out a long exhale. "I feel like I could sleep for three days straight."
"And you should. But first, I should tell you, we have my parents' approval."
That certainly woke you right up. "We... what?"
"My mother said she'd never seen such a promising tsahik before, and we would be a fool to let another clan have you when our people could use your skills here."
Your mouth hung open. "So, she finds me useful?" You had to chuckle.
"Useful enough to be my mate."
You fell forward into his arms, careful to avoid the bandages on his chest, and he wrapped his arms around you, holding you tightly to him.
"We can have everything we want," he whispered, and your heart felt as if it may burst from joy, after the insanely stressful day you'd just had.
You felt like you could cry, or maybe pass out, or both.
"I love you, Ao'nung," you whispered, looking up at him with tears in your eyes.
He kissed just below each eye, removing your tears, then your nose, and finally, a gentle kiss on the mouth.
"I'm so proud to call you mine, Y/N. I will love you forever."
Proud was just how you felt, as well. Proud of yourself, proud of your future mate, and proud to become one of the Metkayina.
Squeaked, YES

It had come to everyone's attention that you and Ao'nung started to spend even more time with each other and that at least a little amount of his mocking and pestering seemed to have found an end.
Some time had passed since the two of you had talked everything out. More and more you joined Ao'nungs family for dinner and the news were spreading rapidly; the chief's son had found a mate.
"I still can't believe it. You got yourself a man." Kiri shook her head in disbelief.
"Not just any man, but the future clan leader." Neteyam corrected prouldy while patting your shoulder.
Lo'ak only make choking sounds, he still didn't trust Ao'nung completely, even though he tried his best to befriend his family as well, even if it was only for Tsireya.
"Does that mean you will marry Ao'nung and have a family with him?" Tuk asked innocently, to which Lo'ak gagging sounds only intensified.
You blushed at the thought of that and shrugged, unable to hide your smile.
"Probably one day. But we're not even mated, so maybe when he's through with his iknimaya, in some years."
Neteyam smiled at you proudly. He was sure you'd be a good tsahik for the metkayina clan one day.
"Don't you think it's going a bit fast?" Kiri asked as she crossed her arms in front of her chest.
"Mom and dad had Neteyam one year after meeting each other. You don't have to be a genius to calculate this" you answered, so she just agreed and nodded.
"I'm bored..." Tuk suddenly complained, tugging at your hair strands gently to get more attention.
Just as you wanted to speak up you heard Ao'nungs voice echo through the air. He stood at the entrance of the marui, peeking his head in.
"Would a round of hide and seek help? I could show you the best places, noone will ever find you there."
All of your siblings, including you, turned your heads around to face him.
A wide smile appeared on your face as you saw him, so you got up and greeted him with a peck on his cheek and a loose arm around his waist.
"Not even Neteyam?" Tuk's eyes widened in excitement.
"Not even Neteyam."
You felt your heart getting all warm and your stomach tingled. It was the first time Ao'nung had actively seeked out your family to spend time with them too. After all, they were a part of his life now as well.
Tuk jumped in excitement, begging you and your brothers to join. Since it would be a nice bonding activity you agreed, hoping to see him and your family having fun together.
"Well, what are we waiting for?"
Before you could even finish the sentence, your youngest sister cheered and jumped, running out of the marui as quickly as she could.
Neteyam joined right away, even Lo'ak was somehow up for this and joined. Kiri rolled her eyes a bit before following everyone outside.
"You'll get 30 seconds to hide, then (Y/N) and I come to find you all, how about that?"
Ao'nung gave you a smile which already gave away that he was up to something. Nonetheless, he started counting and everybody started to spread, looking for a place to hide.
Once your siblings were out of range, the young man stopped counting and pulled you closer by your waist, only to spread a few kisses along your jaw and cheek.
"Mmh, I've missed you all day..." he purred, his hands roamed your body carefully. This alone covered your entire being in goosebumps while your tail whipped at his touch.
"Don't tell me you wanted to play hide and seek to have me all for yourself?"Â As he pressed a few more kisses onto your jaw you could practically feel him smirk against your skin.
"Am I not allowed to spend some time with my girlfriend after a hard day of training?"
All you could do was giggle as he pulled you closer and kissed down to your neck as if he was love-starved.
"Hey, no hickeys!" you hissed giggling once his teeth met your skin, leading you to push him off gently.
"I know, your father's gonna kill you" he sighed, not letting go of you so easily.
"No, he's gonna kill you, my love."
Ao'nung shamelessly continued to spread kisses on your neck, carefully sucking and nipping at your skin, until you noticed someone approaching and watching you. Speaking of the devil.
"Ao'nung-"
"Calm down, I'm careful."
"I know but-"
"Just relax and enjoy, hmm?"
You tried to push him off once more but the guy only pulled you closer, caging you in his embrace even more.
"Care to explain what you're doing with my daughter?" your father's voice emerged from behind your boyfriend, who turned around at the sound instantly, blinking with his eyes wide open in surprise.
It took a while for him to finally say something.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Sully."
He brought up all the courage he had to look into Jakes eyes. After all, he couldn't be worse than his mother, he thought, still embarrassed that he had caught him kissing you like this.
"There are rules in this house, even for you."
Jake towered him with his chest puffed and the most serious face.
"Yes, I understand."
"Dad, please." you growled in english, hoping he wouldn't be too harsh on your boyfriend. If you weren't there, he would've lectured him where he stood, but because of your presence he decided to let it slip just this once.
"We're gonna have a talk about this later, baby girl."
"Sure..." you reached out to Ao'nungs hand and dragged him with you carefully.
While you were looking for your siblings together, Ao'nung finally found his voice again. "I heard him talk to my father this morning."
Confusion laced your expression. What could his dad probably have to say to yours? Ao'nungs eyes scanned through the surroundings, but it seemed as if you were all alone.
"They talked about us, saying something about a deal."
"A deal?" you repeated with furrowed eyebrows.
"Mhm. Can't say much of what exactly they talked about though. But I'd rather have our fathers talk about us than our mothers." You could only agree to that. The thought of Neytiri and Ronal interacting was never really pleasant.
While you kept walking around to find your siblings, Ao'nung suddenly stopped you and looked around. Both of you had pathed away from the village and into the mangroves.
That smug grin he always wore with pride returned before he trapped you in between a sturdy mangrove root and himself.
"But they won't annoy us here."
Once more, you felt his lips capture the skin of your neck. He let his mouth travel over your neck and up your jawbone again while his arms sneaked around your waist.
Many times, when training got frustrating, exhausting or just annoying in general, exchanging little touches and kisses with you helped him to calm down and maintain sanity.
He sighed against your shoulder while his hands roamed over your back.
"Once I'm done with my iknimaya-", a few more kisses up to your temples followed, "I'll get my own marui. With you." The thought of sharing a home with him felt pleasantly warm. It excited you almost.
"That sounds lovely, Ao'nung."
"Say my name again~" he purred into your ear before gently nipping at it.
To others, it probably seemed like this was something erotic, the kisses, touches and the way he loved how you said his name, but sometimes he just needed all of this for his ego.
Both arms wrapped around his neck as you leaned in on him, wetting your lips once. He couldn't help but groan softly when his name rolled off your tongue so perfectly, his eyes fell shut at the sound of your voice.
It filled him with pride to hear you whispering his name like a prayer to Eywa. His entire body was covered in goosebumps and he shuddered ever so lightly.
"Okay, this is stupid, please let me get out of here before I have to witness my sister getting impregnated." you suddenly heard Kiri call out from behind a tree. She revealed herself and started to walk back to the village.
Immediately pushing Ao'nung away gently, you felt your cheeks starting to burn.
"What? No, I- we weren't-! y-you're not gonna tell dad, are you?"
Kiri actually considered it for a moment since she still wasn't too sure about Ao'nung. He had mocked the Sullys for quite a while.
"I might."
You wanted to run after her and stop her, but Ao'nung just grinned and held you in his arms.
"Go ahead. And while you're at it, why don't you tell him about Rotxo?"
Your sister froze right where she stood. Her intense stare was deadly, but Ao'nung wasn't impressed at all. He was way too informed.
"Would be a shame if we would bave to tell him-"
"Alright fine!" Kiri quickly stomped back to the village, trying to hide her embarrassed face.
"So, where were we?"
~~~~~
"It's always a pleasure to have you here." Tonowari said smiling as you and Ao'nung entered his family's marui.
You couldn't help but copy his expression. His parents always took you in so friendly, the thought of them being a part of your life too filled your heart with joy.
"Actually we just came to pick this up" Ao'nung made his way over to his mat and grabbed a woven basket filled with fruits, berries, herbs and a few handy utensils along with some selfmade lucky charms.
Tsireya also just came back to the marui together with her mother and greeted you with a short hug as you still stood by the entrance.
"When are you moving in?" she joked with a smile. It was true that you joined them for dinner or just in general almost daily. She loved to see her brother warming up a bit, he seemed to grow up.
She had noticed very early on that Ao'nung treated you different than anyone else, he behaved unlike anytime before. When he had tried to hate you, she could read from his eyes how much he liked you already.
Even if you and her brother weren't mated or married, she already saw you as a family member she could chat with, braid each other's hair and dive through the reefs. Sometimes Ao'nung was almost jealous of having to share you with his sister.
"How about you move in with Lo'ak in our marui and I take your place here?" you whispered into her ear, watching her blush. She couldn't help but giggle shyly at the thought of that, so she changed the topic quickly.
"Are you joining us for dinner?" She asked kindly, to which you nodded.
"We just wanted to bring this to her family-" but before your boyfriend could end his sentence, his father spoke up.
"Ao'nung, you will do that alone. I'm sure Jake would like to have a talk with you, from man to man."
Ao'nung only gave you an insecure look, lips pursed.
"You got this. I believe in you."
He huffed at your words before you pecked his cheek, stroking over his back a few times.
Tonowari and Ronal were not as strict as your parents when it came to physical contact between the two of you.
In fact, they actually adored watching the love you felt for each other blossom with every touch, kiss or hug. This side of their son was new to them as well, yet they highly appreciated how he had changed since he opened up to you.
Praying to Eywa that everything would work out fine, you followed him with your eyes.
"My dear, why don't you sit and dine with us? Tell us about your day."
Tonowari said ever so friendly, offering you a place to sit down.
~~~~~
It was getting late already, but it was nothing new for you to get home after the eclipse. As you returned to your family, Ao'nung was still with them. The atmosphere was not as relaxed as the one around you with his family.
"I'm back." you said quickly before scanning the room. Your siblings had a hard time not bursting out laughing at the sight of you.
"Sit." Jake ordered harshly, and you did, wondering why. Had Ao'nung done something wrong?
Your boyfriend turned his face towards you slowly, the look on his face was pretty similar to your father's one.
"Hello, (Y/N). Good to see you."
Your eyes widened as you finally understood what was going on.
Ao'nung spoke in english.
The few things you had taught him absolutely did not mean what he thought they did.
"See, I tried to impress your family with the bit of english I learned from you. Instead I told them that I stink and that I'm an idiot. Thank you very much, (Y/N)."
"He told mom that he's an ugly fish lip and called dad a pussy." Neteyam cried out laughing, wiping the tears from his eyes.
As hard as you tried, you bit back a grin, but seeing Ao'nungs stupid face stare at you in anger didn't help at all.
You couldn't help but apologize quietly while holding your laughter back.
"I better get back home." he growled in annoyance, still being pissed and embarrassed. With that he got up from the ground and gave your parents and siblings a quick nod.
"Good night, Mr. Sully, Mrs. Sully.
Good night guys."
He was an impressively fast learner, his pronunciation was very good as well.
As he made his way out the marui you got up and followed him out, grabbing his hand just before he could stomp off.
"Wait, please-"
"You probably had the nicest evening with my family while I sat here with yours, saying stupid things all night long. I wanted to show them my respect so that they accept me and you don't get into trouble!" he hissed as you were out of range, away from your marui.
"Ao'nung please, I'm sorry. I never thought you would remember this anyway... but you kind of deserved that back then."
A sigh left his lips. He couldn't be too mad at you for long.
Closing the distance between you and him, you pulled him into a hug, giving him a sweet apologetic look.
"I'm truly sorry, Ao'nung..." you repeated, tracing over his back gently.
"You'll pay for this, you know that."
His words sent shivers down your spine, followed by his hands which attacked your sides with ferocious tickles.
It only lasted for a few seconds before he looked deeply into your eyes, falling love all over again.
"I have to get up early for training. I should go to sleep."
You frowned a bit at his statement, not wanting him to leave just yet, but you definitely understood that he needed his sleep.
"Take care of yourself, alright?"
Aonung approved with a nod before he closed the space between you and him, giving you a loving kiss that made your heart flutter. And again, he surprised you with how fast he hearned english.
"i love you."
