I cannot stress to you people enough how important it is to not give up. I can already sense the first-time voters going “wow, this was pointless, time to burrow myself in a hole of self-hatred and hopelessness” like don’t. Please. Because if we give up now then we are truly letting this happen. We are giving up on change. Support the environment. Support lgbt people. Support poc and immigrants. Support anyone who can and will be hurt by this because they are going to need it now.

Join your school board and ask them face-to-face why they're against queer education

Stand up to your racist uncle instead of "keeping the peace" (peace for WHO exactly?)

Find out what abortion rights groups are ALREADY DOING in your area instead of reinventing the wheel

Join an actually inclusive church (you know, like Jesus would've wanted) and see what they're ALREADY DOING to make the world better

And for fuck's sake, stop saying "oh I don't talk about politics" - YOUR SILENCE IS POLITICAL

with merfolk, do you think birthing process would function similar to seahorses, i say this with no other basis than the chosen tails in one of your edits

As my merfolk are humans, they have a human way of reproducing! That is to say that the baby develops in a womb and not a pouch akin to what male seahorses have. No mpreg, sorry ^^' They do have some other "quirks" though, like that some merfolk with the bodies of certain fish species can change their sex! There was no other reason for this but that some fishes do it and I think it would be cool if there were societies where humans sometimes did that.

Other interpretations of mermaids can do it differently of course. I remember that they mention merfolk reproducing like seahorses with males carrying the babies in Monster Prom!
