THE THING macready the thing 1982 rj macready this is advice mac would never follow himself lmao he used alcohol to solve literally every single problem in the film it was the one thing that stayed loyal to him till the very end what made the blood test scene so good too is the fact we got to see it from the other characters perspectives mac is completely losing it and is doubting his own intuition about who the thing is while he has everyone tied up unable to fend for themselves in case of anything happening he looks insane from the other povs and to the audience’s too and it’s so good cuz we see him as more calm tempered and less hot headed given how all the others followed his lead up to this point
