A fuzzy orange-yellow oval occupies the middle fourth of the image. It extends from 10 o’clock to 4 o’clock. A bright white spot is located within the oval but offset to the upper left from the core. An additional smaller, grainy, orange disk it located at lower right. A couple of additional orange points are in the frame. The background of space is black.

The Hubble Space Telescope has uncovered a “sneaky” black hole that was revealed in a tidal disruption event, where a hapless star was ripped apart and swallowed in a spectacular burst of radiation.

Unlike previously observed tidal disruption events, which took place in the center of a galaxy, this event was thousands of light-years from its galactic center. This is the first offset tidal disruption event captured by optical sky surveys, and it opens up the possibility of uncovering an elusive population of “wandering” black holes with future surveys: https://bit.ly/4j51XYo

An illustration of Sun-like star HD 181327 and its surrounding debris disk. The star is at top right. It is surrounded by a far larger debris disk that forms an incomplete ellpitical path and is cut off at right. There’s a huge cavity between the star and the disk. The debris disk is shown in shades of light gray. Toward the top and left, there are finer, more discrete points in a range of sizes. The disk appears hazier and smokier at the bottom. The star is bright white at center, with a hazy blue region around it. The background of space is black. The label Artist's Concept appears at lower left.

Does frozen water exist around other stars? For the first time, the James Webb Space Telescope has provided proof that it does. Webb detected water ice around HD 181327, a Sun-like star that lies 155 light-years away. (The term water ice specifies its makeup since other molecules, like nitrogen, methane, ammonia, and carbon dioxide, are also identifiable in their frozen states.)

Water ice isn’t “everywhere” in this system. The largest quantity (about 20%) is found where it’s coldest and farthest from the star.

Astronomers have long expected water ice to be in other star systems, partially based on previous detections of its gaseous form, water vapor, and its presence in our own solar system—but until now it wasn’t confirmed: https://webbtelescope.pub/42Vopw0

Hm.

It is alright.

I have a countless amount of time ahead of me.

Perhaps my electromagnetic field.

Or... perhaps my spacetime abilities are stabilizing your material into a singular time point.

Well, I can always upgrade my optics to detect molecular structures.

It will take some time, however.

I do not know what is wrong.

*Obscyra looks as lost as Sun. He blinks a few times and the flow stops*

Why is it that you can hold it and not the other containers?

It's a date then.

Err, I mean, it's a deal..

Let's start later; for now it's fine to just lounge, I believe.

Hm...

*Obscyra takes an air of concentration until suddenly a luminescent white liquid start to flow from his eyes*

Is that good?

I will trust your judgement.

However I am... unsure what you need from me. Do you mean my essence, perhaps?
